3 Monster, Demon, Not Human

The two boys checked to see no one was watching, and went past the barrier. They left the Oasis, just to find themselves under the rain, and under the umbral shroud. In the boys' eyes, the shroud and the Oasis were equally mysterious, but were two extreme ends. The bright light, the soft singing of leaves, and the calling of the birds disappeared as if they were from a dream. What they were seeing was reality, dark and hellish. Kaze looked around. His face did not change, but it was cleared that he was amazed, otherwise startled. The moment he woke up, he was already in the Oasis, and it did not seem like he remembered anything. Dave gestured and beckoned him to follow. Kaze followed him. He evaluated the area, he did, only to see an eerie emptiness. The victims who died in the mist had their bodies vaporized, and not a single trace of them was left.

"They all died in the mist." Dave said, looking at a billboard that showed a group of singers.

The rain was heavy, and it created a rhythmic sound on Kaze's body.

The two went past shops and streets, soon they were far away from the lamppost. Suddenly, Kaze's arm reflected an unusual light. The two looked at the direction it came from. The rain and the darkness blurred their view, but it was certain that something was glowing and moving in the air. The figure hovered above the two, revealing its form. It was like a helicopter, but without a blade. On the side of it read "PROPERTY OF THE GOVERNMENT". Dave quickly recognized the aircraft. Dave's eyes widened, and he snatched Kaze's arm. He pulled him inside a store, panting in fear. Kaze looked at him with confusion. Dave tried to warn him, but nothing came out of his lips. Kaze stood up, as if nothing was happening, and casually headed for the door. Dave could not raise the courage to stop him, he was completely paralyzed by fear.

Kaze was outside the store. He stared at the aircraft, rain getting into his eyes. "Found you!" Excalibur was chasing after them, she bend herself to the front to catch a deep breath. Before she could, she let out a scream, seeing the Government's aircraft. "Ka..Kaze! Dave! Run!" she said as she turned around and ran. It was when Dave came out to peek, a sound of an opening trapdoor interupted the rain. Four soldiers jumped off the aircraft, each wearing a full body suit and had a rifle wielded. Their suits were black, with engravings that was lit by a blue light. Not a single patch of flesh of them was exposed. Dave hid back into the store and ducked like a turtle, but Kaze was not running for it or hiding. The soldiers marched in perfect sync towards Kaze, readying their rifles. "Registered new subject."

They pulled a trigger and a goo came out of each. Kaze tried to block them with his arms, and the goo dealt no damage. Instead, they wrapped around Kaze's arm and started snaking on his body. Kaze immediately caught the tail of the goo and pulled it off. Right after that, the soldiers were already on for another shot. Kaze realized the danger in the situation, and he backed off and run. The soldiers started running behind him, while adjusting their weapons to fire at him. The rifles recoiled, and fired the same goo at Kaze. There was a cacophony of noises of the rain, the rifles, the running. The intensity must have triggered Dave, who forced himself to lift himself up to block the shot for Kaze. Courage and stupidity sure were the motives of this move. Dave rushed out and the goo found its place on Dave's body, slowly enveloping him. The soldiers picked up the captured prey, and left the others running. The soldiers loaded Dave into the aircraft, and followed in. Meanwhile, Father was already informed and quickly sent people to retrieve Dave and Kaze. One after one came out of the gateway of the Oasis. They ran towards the aircraft and bumped into Excalibur and Kaze. Gargoyle was among the men, he closed his eyes to focus, and a force filled his body. His skin started hardening, turning into polished metal. His mass was increased, and the two fluffs on his head turned into actual horns. He opened his eyes, and stood tall, like an English gargoyle. He stomped the floor and shattered it, then picked up a giant piece of rock to throw it at the aircraft. The aircraft shifted to one side trying to dodge, but was still hit and smoked. The soldiers inside evacuated and took their prey with them. The one soldier that held Dave attached a device that looked like a metal spider onto Dave's head, and he pushed him away. "Abandoned subject 1364...repeat..." Dave was free of restraints, but a device was stuck on his head. The soldiers set foot and ran. When they were about to pursue, Dave suddenly moved in an unusual manner, his limbs twitched and folded, as if he was being controlled. Dave lift up his head, and shot a murderous glance.

"Dave?"

His friends was startled by his sudden alteration. Kaze was just as unresponsive, but this time he held out and arm, gesturing the people to stay back. Kaze approached Dave, his arms, his legs, and the metallic veins in his torso charging.

They did not know if they should stop him or not. They could not imagine what would happen between them. The seemingly mindless Kaze and the mind controlled Dave were both fear factors to them. Dave looked at Kaze, their eyes locked, shooting each other a stare, symbolizing a death battle. The mind controlled Dave was silent, like Kaze. This gave Excalibur strange and suspicious thoughts on Kaze. The two approached each other, but this time it was no arena game. Kaze swiftly flung a punch at Dave, Dave jumped backwards to dodge, and quickly jumped back to attack. His arms elongated, they twisted together and formed the shape of a drill. The drill started spinning, Dave pushed it against Kaze. Kaze did not move from his spot, and chopped it with his arm. The bottom of the drill hit against the floor, causing it to shake. Dave seperated his arms, and created two small drills instead, and charged at his enemy. Kaze grabbed hold of Dave's weaponized arms, and launched a upwards kick at his face. The attack connected, but Dave endured the pain, and wrapped his aems around Kaze's leg. He threw his arms upwards, and Kaze lost balanced. Trying to regain his balance, he exposed his openings. Dave used an enlarged leg to deliver a sideways kick. Kaze dodged with a back bend, and immediately regained advantage, as his fully charged shot send a strong wind to attack Dave. Dave fell to the ground, and Kaze made a little hop, his legs delivered a quick shot to the ground, which shot him into the air. Kaze was flying mid air, and he positioned his fist to land on Dave. Kaze dropped like a shooting star, and the punch went deep into Dave's body. The people suddenly snapped back to reality, and realized they had just been procrastinating for the past minute. Yet the adults were powerless, as their powers were weak, and they could not raise their courage. Gargoyle leaped into the battle, but the strong pressure created by Kaze's punch was so immense, that it pushed Gargoyle away. He tried to offset it with his strength, but Kaze delivered another punch, and he was sent backwards again. Excalibur was out of ideas, and she started chanting, "Ex...Ca...Li..."

"No!! Excalibur, calm the hell down!" Gargoyle rushed back, and he grabbed Excaliburs fingers, that were originally stretched to use her power.

"This is our last resort! We KILL Kaze!" She was mad with fear and anger, which caused her to act ruthlessly. Gargoyle was about to answer, but he saw Excalibur gasped, and fainted. Gargoyle turned around to look at the fighting boys, and the image had traumatized him.

Kaze lifted Dave, his fist, continuously and remorselessly punching him in the head. Kaze's face was emotionless, but his eyes were blazing with inwards fire. Gargoyle was frozen, as he saw Dave's being pummeled, and turned into messed up flesh. The scene was like a gory movie. Soon Kaze dropped Dave, he lied on the cold ground, rain puddled his blood in his hideous wounds.

There was a long silence. Then Kaze turned around, heading towards them, his casual manner made everyone very uncomfortable.

"No! No! Bloody hell no! You're not coming with us for god's sake!" Gargoyle shouted as he trembled in fear. He had been a brave man, and nothing was so horrifying, that a simple look could frighten him. And that thing was Kaze, arms and clothes tainted with the merry, laughing Dave's blood. Gargoyle looked at him full with extreme hate, he could punch him straight in the face, but he was too scared to do so.

"Monster! Demon! The Government has sent you! Hell has made you! You're not human! You..." he could not find any more words to insult him, then carried Excalibur and ran. Kaze knew not he did evil, he looked at his bloody hands, and at the running men.

Although Kaze did not talk, he always had things in his mind. He felt hurt when Gargoyle yelled at him, and he was mad that he was not allowed to kill Dave. When he was given a chance, he was more than content to do so. It was not that Kaze had no emotions, it was not that he was not human. Perhaps he had more demons inside him, or perhaps he was missing something in his very soul.
