Chapter 2:

Outside of my window.

After days of searching for a new home, nobody wanted to adopt her… She thought maybe it's because she looked like a brat, or maybe they judged her for having the color blue as her hair. But she was determined to get a family. She promised herself that no matter what happens, she will always stay strong for her mom and dad, she knew that they were watching her every move from a beautiful place called heaven.

"Sweetie, I think it's time you go to an adoption center…" Said Mrs Sophia.

"But-!" Lily was cut off by Liam.

" It's not safe here anymore, we found out someone is after you, a-and your brother." He muttered.

"Brother?! How come I was never told about a brother?! And how many secrets are my family hiding from me?" She said, as she rubbed her left arm whilst her head looked down in despair.

"Well you see dear, he is your step brother, your biological dad divorced your mom, as he liked another girl, then your mom who soon gave birth to you, found a new lover… And that man who you thought was your actual dad was actually y-your step dad..." Sophia explained in a serious voice.

"No, that can't be true, mom always said that he was my real dad. It can't be true! Please tell me it's fake, please!" She responded desperately.

"I'm sorry, but we have evidence." Sophia noted.

" Well can you at least tell me what my biological dad looks like?" She questioned.

"It's hard to describe…. Ah! Here is an idea! Take a look at this picture!" As Sophia handed the picture to Lily, she thought if she had seen him anywhere as the face was extremely familiar to her. When suddenly she remembered. She saw him in some family albums that her mom kept, but whenever she questioned about this mysterious man, her mom always changed the topic. But now she understood everything.

"Well, do you know where my brother is? I need to see him." She calmly asked. "And ask questions..." she mumbled.

"Sorry I didn't quite hear that..." He exclaimed.

"Oh- nothing, i just wanna know where my brother lives.

"He lives at ***********." The officer replied.
