68 Agreement

Kentaro had left the Yuri domain for a couple of days now. He had to shave every day because of what they had transformed him into.

He felt a new kind of energy around him when he walked in the forests and near the rivers. He didn't know what it exactly was, he couldn't get a grasp on it.

"I only wanted to meet the head of the Kamizuru clan, but I encountered those insane people instead. I never have luck."

Relying on his map, he found the Kamizuru clan's hideout. They were hiding inside of a large earth dome resembling a sort of hill.

Kentaro tried to find a way in, it proved very difficult. He decided to punch and make a big hole to allow him to enter.

Just as he was about to do it, he was stopped by a voice.

"If I were you, I wouldn't do that." Kentaro looked at the direction of the voice and saw the person.

"Long time no see, mister. You have...changed drastically, what or who could have done that?"

Kentaro recognized the old man. He was the old man who had taken the two bullies with him before he was brought to the Yuri domain.

"It doesn't matter anymore. I want to meet the head of the Kamizuru clan."

If the old man was here, it couldn't be a coincidence. He surely was a member of the clan.

"I see...I cannot bring you inside. Maybe, if you tell me who you are, I could do it."

"I am Kentaro Fujimoto, I have come here to talk about forming an alliance."

The old man placed his hand on the dome and created a little passage.

The two of them entered and walked until they had arrived. The place was truly nice, there was grass and trees with nest of bees.

The old man led Kentaro to the clan leader of the Kamizuru clan.

"Clan leader, we have a...messenger coming from the Fujimoto clan."

The old man opened the door after that. The room was spacious and two other persons were there without counting the clan leader.

"I am Kentaro Fujimoto, I have come here to propose something."

"What does the killer of Ishikawa have to propose?" the clan leader had been informed about it.

"An alliance." Kentaro said it very seriously, he looked at the two others and only now did he see that it was Mū.

He was keeping a little baby busy and taking care of him.

The clan leader asked Kentaro to sit down on a chair by motioning it with his hand.

Kentaro sat down and looked at the clan leader, waiting for his answer.

"Kentaro, you surely do not know me. My name is Daitan, I am very interested in your proposal."

Daitan stood up and walked to a stone shelf, he took a bowl filled with many fruits and placed it on the little stone table I front of Kentaro.

"Mū, come sit. Kentaro, make yourself home and have some fruit."

Kentaro knew that Daitan's action was amiable, but he didn't want to eat from strangers anymore.

"It's alright, Mū will eat them for me."

Mū sat down and looked at Daitan, waiting for him to talk. Apparently, he didn't want to eat fruits.

Daitan grabbed an apple and began eating it.

"It has been six or seven months since the death of Ishikawa and the previous clan leader. We.....we do not want to have conflicts with the Fujimoto anymore. All is in the past, because I am the head now."

Kentaro was very happy to hear that, everything would become easier if they felt like that.

"The problem is trust. How can I trust you, Kentaro?"

"I don't know how I could gain your trust. I do not force you to become our allies, you can always break our allience when you wish."

Daitan placed the eaten apple on the table and took a big breath, he was thinking about something.

"How about this? We will encircle your clan's little village and will attack if you betray us in any way."

His suggestion was very stupid, but at least he tried to find ways.

"No. Daitan, just trust me! I need your clan's power, trust and help. I will gather other clans too, we will slowly form a coalition of clans."

"Why do you want to do this exactly?" Daitan was trying to understand Kentaro's intentions.

"In three or for years, you will understand why. We need to fortify the unity within the land of earth, we need to be together. Because when the day comes, we will need to act fast and efficiently."

Daitan rubbed his chin, he stood up and walked around the room.

"What clan will you try to convince next? Will it be a clan in the land of earth? Will it be a clan in another country?"

"I planned to go and meet with the Chinoike clan next, they must be around the land of lightning."

Daitan nodded his head and tapped Mū a couple of times on the shoulders.

"Then, Mū will come with you. If everything goes right and only after Mū gives me a report about the your behavior during the mission, I shall see if I can trust you enough to accept an alliance."

For Kentaro, it was fair enough. This was also the best opportunity to familiarize himself with Mū.

Kentaro stood up and shook Daitan's hand, they looked into each other's eyes.

"You really look like a beast, you know that, Kentaro!? Hehe."

"I don't know if I should take it like a compliment or not."

Kentaro let go of Daitan's hand and motioned Mū to follow him. The two of them left the hideout and began traveling to the land of lightening.

Daitan placed the bowl of fruits back to its place and walked towards the little baby.

"Little Ōnoki, wish Mū good luck. It's good that we have found an agreement, but let's hope that we can trust in Kentaro."

Daitan carried Ōnoki in his arms and sat on his chair, he could only wait and hope for Mū's return.
