I don't think this fanfic is to my liking but I don't think it's bad, the MC's personality is very nice, but I see no reason why the MC is weaker than Luffy simply because he is the captain, not always the strongest person is necessarily the leader of something depends a lot on the person’s charisma and we all know that luffy has plenty, so since he doesn’t want to make the MC stronger than Luffy because he doesn’t make them have the same strength and become a kind of rival friendly, because Zoro is not necessarily weaker than Luffy, nor did he leave the crew for that reason, besides the fact that reading a story that the MC is always behind a person is not for me. there's nothing here, it's just original one piece+1 character (this ff's MC). MC's existence is like sakura from naruto (exist but useless). even with all the cheat he is still very dependant on luffy, i mean what the point of his existence if he is still got his ass saved by luffy every single time. he try to fight the bosses, got bitch slapped then say "if luffy's here he's gonna beat you" like some damsel, saved by luffy, then the story go like the original one piece.. reaaly? thats bullshit!!

Honestly, just watch the anime or read the manga. This is not a fanfic of One Piece. This is literally just One Piece plus an inconsequential MC. Author didn't change anything at all. Sure the MC fights enemies, but that's it. The crew ain't any better because of him. None of the events nor it's consequences change. The MC might as well not have been there. I understand going with the plot. I even understand joining the strawhats, nothing wrong with that imo. And I never imagined I'd ever give a really low review on a novel(I'm pretty tolerant when it comes to these things). But blatantly copy pasting everything(except MC fights) that happens in the original is where I draw the line. So sorry, but Imma have to give this a low review.

Idk how to start it. I'd love so much about MC's attitude, he's a family man, and has integrity and principle. So it would be consistent. Damn it was so good that I thought I will be like MC if I was in the same circumstances. Emotionally, missing my family, and thinking like earthen people.

Honestly this is probably perfect in my opinion. Some people may hate that he's weaker than Luffy but I'm really happy this is the case or he has no reason to be following his captain. He's strong but not overly so, as well as having the potential to surpass everyone. This premise I like. And from the charecter of the MC, it's also not bad. Although there could be a few things that's not to my taste, it's still a likable MC. I find that 80% of the fanfics I read have shitty personality so I'm relieved. I'm really looking forward to this so don't drop and carry on! 😁
