81 80. 'Dark King' Silvers Rayleigh

"R-rayleigh."-Hachi

"Eh? Ah, no wonder you look familiar, old man. You're that Rayleigh huh?"-Jon

"Don't mind that young man, now i am just an old coater, Ray-san. Ooh, Hachi, are you Hachi? Long time no see. What happen to you?"-Rayleigh

Rayleigh look around to inspect what happen and he seem to understand. He thank the Straw Hats for saving Hachi and then he look at Luffy.

"That straw hat, look very good on you. I have wanted to meet you, Monkey D. Luffy."-Rayleigh

"You know him Luffy?"-Zoro

"No"-Luffy

"What? You don't know him? He is very famous you know. He is the 'Dark King' Rayleigh."-Jon

The crew still didn't know except Robin that stay silent. Jon can't believe these guys, how could they didn't know this when they live in this world for their whole life. He just come a little more than 2 years ago and he know who is Rayleigh.

"You guys are just... Sigh, let's talk about this later."-Jon

"Hihihihi"-Robin

Then they heard a voice from outside. The Marines have surrounded this place. There are 6 rookies with more than 100 millions bounties inside. So they have planned to catch them since earlier. But now after Luffy attack tenryubito, they move immediately.

"I will not use my power again, so you young peoplec need to take care of it. Altough you don't seem to be the type that receive orders."-Rayleigh

"I'm not intersted in helping an old man, but i didn't want to fight an admiral now. I guess i will fight and save you guys. You don't need to thank me."-Kid

Kid walk out and waving his hand at the other. Luffy and Law immediately got irked by Kid's statement, so they also go out. They keep saying that they will be the one that fight the marines.

"I don't understand why the captains with high bounty act like a kid. I thought that only Luffy act like this, but the others are like this too huh?"-Jon

Rayleigh then come and sit near Hachi, he said to the Straw Hats to come to Grove 13 later. They agree because Rayleigh also the one that will coat their ship. So they need to discuss it with him first.

While Luffy, Kid and Law go out to fight the marines, Jon, Zoro, and Killer from Kid crew stay at the door to look at the fight. The other crew are with Caimie and Hachi that has been treated by Chopper. Rayleigh just sit near Hachi while drinking his booze.

"You know them?"-Zoro

"Of course, that's why you should read news, Zoro."-Jon

"Tsk, it'll make me have a headache."-Zoro

"Sigh, that red head is Eustas 'Captain' Kid from Kid pirates with 315 million bounty. This mask man beside me is also his crew, 'Massacre Soldier' Killer with 162 million bounty. That cow hat guy is 'Surgeon of Death' Trafalgar Law, bounty 200 million."-Jon

"Straw Hat pirates, 'Demon Eyes' Jon and 'Pirate Hunter' Zoro. I hear a lot about you."-Killer

"Ooh, then how about a spar?"-Zoro

"Stop it, we are in urgency. An admiral may come here, so don't waste your energy."-Jon

"Tch"-Zoro

The battle start and Jon see Kid and Law's devil fruit power. All the Supernova captains are devil fruit users. So Jon want to see their power and make a plan if they need to fight in the future. He almost sure that they will be rivals, because they must've wanted to be the Pirate King too like Luffy.

'Kid can pull and push items with metals in it. So he must have magnet power, just like Magneto. Law's power, what is it really? He make some kind of dome and can cut people inside it. But they are not dead, and he can even mix their parts. Is it some kind of space ability?'-Jon

The fight end rather fast, but reinforcements are coming. They decide it's time to leave, so they call Luffy. The riders also call them from afar and they can move faster by riding those fishes.

The Straw Hats immediately run and the marines keep attacking them. But the crew keep going and didn't stop. It's easy to fight those marines, but if they stay here too long, the admirals will come. Jon make a swamp behind them and it buy the crew sometime to escape.

They finally escaped and ride the fishes, while Franky, Rayleigh, Caimie, Hachi, and Pappag ride Motobaru. The fishes are faster than the bull, but then Franky made a machine after he see a broken bridge. He can even make something like that from broken bridge, and it's fast.

Sometime later, they arrive at Grove 13 and the riders give Caimie's bag. They actually go and beat up the guys that captured Caimie. These guys are so grateful toward Sanji and the crew. They also keep changing their group name now. The crew then go to a bar that have a strange name.

"Shakky Rip-off Bar? What a strange name. Won't they scare the customer?"-Jon

The door opened and a middle aged lady come out. It seem she know Rayleigh and Hachi. She even know Luffy, Brook and Chopper. They have come here before to find Rayleigh, but he's not here, so they try to find him somewhere.

They prepare a bed for Hachi and Chopper treat him slowly. He can only did a fast treatment before, so he's more thorough now. The other sit on the chairs, while Luffy and Jon ransacked the fridge. Jon see Luffy eat and become hungry too.

"Ah that's right, Rayleigh. Why is someone like you stay at that place? It's not like you can't go out yourself right?"-Jon

"Hahaha, i was lost im my gamble and need money again. So i sold myself to steal money from my buyer."-Rayleigh

"Geh, you sold yourself to get money?"-Usopp

"What a crazy method. How much the money they need to buy Gol D. Roger's vice captain, 'Dark King' Silvers Rayleigh?"-Jon

"WHAATTT?!"-Crew

"You're Pirate King's vice captain?"-Luffy

"Ara? You don't know?"-Robin

The other crew except Jon & Robin are surprised. Rayleigh is a legend among pirates, but he has not shown himself for a very long time. Many even believe he is dead already after Roger's execution.

"I don't recognize him at first, but when Hachi call his name, i remember it instantly."-Jon

"Well, enough about me, i'm just a ship coater right now. I actually wait for a long time to meet you, Monkey D. Luffy. Shanks has told me about you some years ago after he got scar on his eye and lost his arm. He come to me and told me about you."-Rayleigh

"You know Shanks, old man?"-Luffy

"If you guys are from East Blue, you should know Buggy."-Rayleigh

The ones from East Blue seem to feel mad hearing Buggy's name. Rayleigh told them that Shanks and Buggy are training in their ship when they're young. Jon can't believe this, it almost sound impossible.

'How can Pirate King's students become so different? One is a Yonkou now, but the other is just a small time pirate captain. Well, not all students from good school become great person.'-Jon

Rayleigh also told them that Roger wasn't captured by marines, but he surrendered himself. They are surprised and can't believe that a Pirate King send himself to be captured, if the one tell them this is not his vice captain they won't believe it. Rayleigh say that Roger has an incurable disease and his death was near, so he sail for the last time.

To ease Roger's pain, they recruit Crocus that is a doctor 3 years before they reach Laugh Tale. This surprised the ones from east blue and Brook especially. Crocus has said to them that he join a pirate crew for sometime. Crocus join them to search a pirate crew which is Brook's crew.

"I never thought that he join Pirate King's crew."-Nami

"Crocus-san, you even do that for us."-Brook cry

"Finally after three years, we succeed in doing the impossible. We conquer the Grand Line."-Rayleigh

After conquering the Grand Line, Roger is hauled as the Pirate King. But that title is meaningless for a dying person like him. So he enjoy his last years by fighting and partying with his crew.

After conquering the grand line, Roger disband his crew. One year later, Roger turned himself to Marines. The marines decide to make a public execution to throw fear into pirates all around the world. But Roger said something to Rayleigh before he turned himself. He said 'I will not die, partner'.

Then, at the execution day, Roger said his famous speech that turned the world into Great Pirates Era. This story astonished the Straw Hats very much. To think that the Pirate King have a great story that not many people know like this.

"So he has planned to make a pirate era like this?"-Usopp

"I don't know, no one know about it."-Rayleigh

"Heeh, maybe he means that he won't die as long as someone inherit his spirit? I don't know Pirate King is such a phylosophist."-Jon

"Hahaha, like i said, no one know what he mean by that."-Rayleigh

"I don't need to know what he mean, that is what i get."-Jon

"Rayleigh-san.."-Robin

Robin suddenly stand up and call Rayleigh, she looks like she have a big dilemma. Then she ask if Rayleigh knew about the void century, an age before 900 years ago. She also ask about the 'Will of D' that is written on a poneglyph in Sky Island. Also about how Roger can write that language.

'Will of D? Is it from the D names? Now that i think about it, why i have D in my name?'-Jon

Rayleigh said that he know everything that Robin want to ask. But he tell Robin to not be hasty. She need to make her own journey to reach that answer. Rayleigh think that maybe his crew and Ohara's people are too hasty. He also think that maybe Robin can find a different answer.

"But if you still want to know the answer, i will tell you everything."-Rayleigh

Robin seem to think for sometime before she smile.

"No, let's stop this topic."-Robin

"Oi Robin, are you sure about this? You can get the answer now. Oi old man, then i want to ask, is the treasure, One Piece, is rea-"-Usopp

"USOPP!"-Luffy

Luffy shout to stop Usopp question, and he go up the table and slam his feet.

"I don't want to hear about it. I don't want to know if One Piece is real. Everyone sail to the sea because they want to search for it. I DON'T WANT A BORING ADVENTURE LIKE THAT. If old man tell me the answer, I WILL STOP TO BE THE PIRATE KING!"-Luffy

Usopp seem to be frightened and apologize to Luffy. Jon just smile hearing Luffy, it's really rare to find someone like this. He's glad that he follow the right person. If Luffy simply want to know the answer already, their journey will not be interesting again. There's no point to search an answer that you already know, it's just boring.

'I want to live an interesting life where i can do anything i want. There's no point to have this power if my life is boring and not challenging at all.'-Jon

Jon tighten his fist and smirk, but he is still continue eating. This fridge have many tasty food, so he need to be fast or Luffy will take everything. Jon himself didn't know since when did he enjoy fighting and challenge strong people. But it's not a problem as long as he can enjoy it.

"Can you do it? Conquering the Grand Line?"-Rayleigh

Rayleigh said with serious expression, but Luffy just laugh.

"I don't need to conquer anything, because for me, the most free person on the sea is Pirate King."-Luffy

Luffy just smile and Rayleigh also smile and widen his eyes. Jon think that Rayleigh is judging Luffy's character by asking that question.

'It seem he pass the test.'-Jon
