39 38. Upper Yard

The Strawhats wait for Nami at the beach where the docked. While waiting, Jon ask many things about Skypiea, upper yard, and God Enel. Conis tell him many things and hope them to avoid breaking rules. Jon & the other listen to Conis's explanation, but only Jon and Robin that really understand. The other didn't listen at all and ask Pagaya to check the waver that Luffy found on the ship wreck before.

'Hmm? He can hear everything? How? From their explanation, this God is someone that has devil fruit and very powerful. Also God for these people is like the leader, not the God we thought he is.'-Jon

Sometime later, Nami come back and they go back to Conis's house. He can fix their waver better there with his tools. They of course eat again, before deciding to go shopping after exchanging some berries with extols. Usopp ask Jon to go with him and buy dials. Jon of course go with him, even Luffy and Chopper follow them.

They arrive at a dials shop with Conis's guide and go inside of the shop. They saw many dials with different sizes and function. They ask the shopkeeper about all the dials there, so the shopkeeper show the catalogue to them. With no surprise, they want all the dials. It's just too mysterious and interesting, so they want all.

The shopkeeper is rather sceptical if they can pay, so Jon take a bit of soil and the shopkeeper now basically become the one who want to buy the soil with dials. Conis also got surprised but Luffy just tell her they will give her some later.

"Nonono, you don't have to, vearth is very precious afterall"-Conis

"It's okay Conis, we're mostly on the sea, so we don't need soil that much."-Jon

After they have deal with the shopkeeper, Jon store all the dials there. They even go to every dials shop, because they can just use some soil to buy them. After some hours of shopping, they go back to Conis's house and the other also there already.

They decide to go back on ship after dinner to sleep because Conis's house didn't have enough room for them to sleep. They made a campfire on the beach and talk a little about their day and their plan next. Jon buy a space seal with good price, not too cheap or too expensive, and place it around them.

"Let's go to upper yard"-Luffy

"Stop it, didn't you hear Conis said it's dangerous?"-Nami

"But it said that there's many golds there."-Jon

"Let's go now!"-Nami

"Oioioioioi"-Zoro, Usopp

"Alright, hear me guys, my clones have gather a lot of information about this place.

1. God here is not what we think of God, they're the leader here and the strongest here. They called themselves God because God is said to live on the sky like them and is the strongest. Gan Fall that we met before is the God before Enel defeat him and take the title 'God of Skypiea'.

2. Enel have devil fruit with power of lightning because he always use lightning as his divine punishment. No one here know what is the devil fruit, but it's undeniable that he is strong. The possibilities are maybe either Zoan or Paramecia that can generate or control lightning. But the highest possibility is logia, as his lightning power is too high to be a zoan or paramecia.

3. He also has a power to hear anything in Skypiea, maybe he can also heard us now. That's why i place some space seal around us to prevent it. I don't know if it will work, but it's better than nothing."-Jon

The crew digested the information that Jon told them. Well, some of them can't understand at all. But before someone can ask, Jon say something again.

"I tell you all of this because almost every blue sea people that come here are always end up went to upper yard somehow. They either baited, or forced to go there with various method by Enel's mens. They must have been set their eyes on us too. That old woman in gate maybe is one of his subordinate too, because every blue sea people will passed the gate to go here.

Enel have high interest in golds. He accumulated many golds. That's why many people from sea below go to Upper Yard. But that's also his plot. He know golds source is from earth, not sky. And sea people like us, especially pirates, must have golds, few or many.

We most likely will have to go to upper yard. Even if we don't have the plan to go there. That's why we need to prepare ourselves. But our enemies are not only Enel"-Jon

"There's more?"-Usopp

"Of course, Enel have generals, or they call them priests and many soldiers. There are 4 priests in total, no one here know their power, so i don't know their strength. Also there are guerillas that attack us before. They live in Upper Yard and actually fight against Enel.

But just because they fight Enel, doesn't mean they'll help us. They already attack us before so you know they're hostile for now. They are already in war with Skypiean for hundreds of years. The war is for Upper Yard's ownership. Because like what Conis said before, soil is better for farming. Also, Enel usurp the God throne 6 years ago, i guess that's when he got his devil fruit."-Jon

"I already saw Enel's power before. His lightning can obliterate anything he attack. Trees, earth, and people, they got obliterate instantly. He is very strong, there's no way we can win against him."-Nami

"Luffy, let's go back to the sea"-Usopp

"That's right Luffy"-Chopper

Nami, Usopp and Chopper have tears in their face, but Luffy has his own thought.

"Forbidden place, mysterious power, what kind of adventure in there i wonder?"-Luffy

"Heeh, there are many strong people to fight"-Zoro

"I will always protect Nami-swan and Robin-chwan from those bastards"-Sanji

"I can't wait to discover the history of hundreds of years war. There must be ruins or so in there that have history record."-Robin

"Hmm, how can he heard a lot of people at once? Maybe it's some kind of technique"-Jon

"It's no use, they're all happy and anticipating it already"-Usopp

Usopp, Chopper and Nami got despaired and beg Luffy but keep getting ignored like before.

"Nami, did you forget there are many golds in Enel's place?"-Jon

"I'm not, but it's scary"-Nami

"Then we just need to go in group."-Robin

"You're right, but how will we dividie it?"-Zoro

"Sigh, there's no other choice. No matter what we say, Luffy will go there. It's better to do it in group so someone can monitor him."-Nami

They all nod and agree with this, and Luffy doesn't understand at all. They draw their team with stick like usual. They divide into 3 groups, 2 teams with 3 people to explore, and a team with 2 people to guard their ship. They decide 2 people to guard because it's a dangerous place and the don't know anything.

After drawing, unexpectedly Luffy need to guard the ship with Chopper so he start wailing. With no other choice, Jon decide to switch with Luffy. He still can use clones to explore the place. Luffy of course become very happy.

"Maybe we don't need Luffy to draw next time. He will never guard the ship and do what he want afterall."-Jon

They all agree with this and discuss their strategy again. They will go very early, they don't want to cause trouble for Conis. They will go to the river that Nami had found before. Luffy, Sanji and Usopp will go to the right. Zoro, Robin, and Nami will go left. They need to always be together until there's a lot of information.

They will gather information for a day and come back to the ship before dark. Only then will they move based on the information they got. Jon will also send clones to many directions to cover bigger area. They will always communicate with denden mushi if something happen.

They decide to sleep so they can go with their max condition tomorrow. Jon move the space seal and place it in the ship. It will cover it and protect them from Enel's hearing ability. Jon really want to know that hearing ability. If he can learn it, it will be a good ability. Then he stop thinking about it and sleep.

The next morning, the Strawhats move to Upper Yard using Merry. But the wind is really slow, so it will be very long to reach Upper Yard.

"Ah, let's use the dials"-Usopp

"Oh you're right, we can place it to make wind and push the ship"-Jon

Then, Usopp and Jon place the jet dials behind the sail. Because they haven't install dials to their ship, the best option is to make wind for the sail with jet dials. After sometime they finished and the ship can move pretty fast.

"Maybe we can use these dials to sail faster on the sea"-Nami

"We also don't need to row when there's no wind."-Robin

They sail fast to Upper Yard with new Skypiea map that Jon get yesterday while he search information. The route is pretty simple with Nami's navigation. They arrive near Upper Yard after some minutes. They look at the high ground and big tall trees.

"These trees are very old, maybe hundreds of years old."-Robin

"Yeah, their size are too big and tall. The people here didn't use wood as their manufacture materials. That's why they never chopped these trees. Not to mention they saw this place as holy ground and they don't even dare to step a foot here."-Jon

"Nami, let's dock!"-Luffy

"Wait, we will go to the river first and only dock after we go far inside."-Nami

They search the river and following it inside the land. After sometime, they found a structure that look like a pyramid in the center of river.

"Pyramid? Is it ancient ruin?"-Jon

"I think it's an altar, and based on history, altar like this is used for sacificial place."-Robin

"Oi, it's bad"-Zoro

They all loom at Zoro and he pointed at the river. There's a lot of big fishes that attack their ship. There's no worries with them all on the ship, but if they leave the ship, it will get destroyed by this many fishes. They decide to pull Merry with rope to go up the altar so the fishes can't attack it.

Jon can't store Merry inside his inventory because it's bigger than his capacity. Merry is smaller than any ship Jon saw on their journey, but it's actually big or it will not be called a ship and will be called a boat. He intended to store it at first, but it's size is bigger than his storage.

The boys then pulled Merry using a very thick rope and passed it to a high tree. Luffy stay on the ship and use his legs to hold Merry while his hand to hold the tall tree. The other boys pull the rope and they start pulling Merry. With their power, it didn't take long before Merry stay on the Altar.

"It's like we offer our ship to God, and the guards are the human sacrifice"-Robin

"Oioioioioi"-Usopp & Jon

"Gasp, am i a sacrifice?"-Chopper had tears

"No Chopper, she's just joking"-Nami

Then they move based on their strategy with their teams. Jon also make 15 clones and they spread to the directions that the crew can't cover. Jon and Chopper stay on ship, and Jon decide to train his body and cloud walking. He make a clone to train cloud walking anda clone again to train Chopper.

"Chopper, let's train while we guard the ship. It will be more productive. You can train on the left river side so it will not damage Merry. I will train on the other side so we can keep an eye from there."-Jon

"Alright, i will be stronger and be manly"-Chopper

"That's right Chopper, you will be the man of the man"-Jon

Jon and Chopper train for some time, but then Jon's clone that spreading start to popped one after another. Some people have defeated them, then Jon & Chopper heard a loud bird cry. They look up and see a big purple bird with red neck feathers. There's also a man on that bird.

"Trespassing God's Holy Land is a big crime with death punishment. Now die, you sinners!"-Man
