3 3. Duel of Century

Jono just stay there with his mouth open, he knows that there are giants from the knowledge that he got earlier. But this is his first time to actually seeing a giant by himself, not in some movies. And this giant just cut a big ass dinosaur with one swing of his weapon, an axe. He even invited him for a meal, what the hell.

"Wh-who're you Mr. Giant?"-Jono got nervous

He's rather nervous, even if it said that giants are rather friendly, he never knew that maybe this giant here is a special one with some 'diet preference'.

"Gababababa, my name is Broggy, they call me 'The Red Ogre', i'm a captain of the Giant Warrior Pirate"-Broggy

'SHIT, he is a pirate, will he eat me? Or maybe sell me? FUCK!! Why'd GOD sent me to this dangerous island when there're a lot of islands with human population.'-Jono curse and scream in his heart.

"So how is it little friend? Would you like to eat with me?"-Broggy smile.

'Well, i don't have any choice right? There's no way i can outrun him before i train myself.'-Jono cry in his heart.

"A-alright Mr. Broggy, i'll come to eat with you." -Jono smile but not happy at all.

~Sometime later, on Broggy's camp.~

"GABABABA, so you want to train yourself but you lost in this island? What a careless boy, GABABABA."-Broggy said while holding a very big roasted meat.

"Well, i don't remember much but when i woke up i'm already here." -Jono said while eating his 5th meat cut, for human serving of course. He even forget that some minutes ago he was scared by this giant.

"Then you can train in this island. You can stay and train in my place until you're strong enough to explore this island. There's a lot of animal to challenge yourself later."-Broggy

'Thank GOD he's a friendly giant.'-Jono

"Alright Mr. Broggy, then i will take your offer."-Jono

"GABABABABA, now i can brag to Dorry about this."-Broggy

"Dorry?"-Jono

*BOOM* (Volcano erruption)

"Yeah, my duel partner."-Broggy said while standing and pick his axe and shield.

Then Broggy run accros the trees.

"DORRYYY."-Broggy

"BROGGYY."-Dorry??

'WTF, it's like Sasuke & Naruto calling each other in a fight.'-Jono

Then their weapons and shields clash. A huge shockwave swept the area around their clash. Jono hold to a stone so he doesn't get swept away by the wind.

'What a strong power. Can i reach that level someday? No, i will reach it and surpass them, i need to believe i can do it. With this world's law of strength, everybody can reach a high level of power, it's just a matter of effort and guidance. Luckily i have my system to guide me.'-Jono thought. Sometime later, the duel finally finished, in a draw.

"GYAGYAGYAGYA, it's a draw again."-Dorry

"GABABABABA, that's right, i even forgot how many time is it now. Ah, that's right Dorry, now i have a guest, not like you, GABABABA."-Broggy

"Hmm, a guest? Who is it?"-Dorry ask

"A human boy,....i forgot to ask his name. GABABABA. Well let's go to my place"-Broggy

Then the giants arrive at Broggy's place.

"Little friend, this is my duel partner, Dorry 'The Blue Ogre'. Dorry, this is my little human friend. What's your name little friend?"-Broggy

Jono sweatdrop at that question, 'Shouldn't he ask that first before inviting me for a meal? But i don't introduce myself either, so it's my fault too i think.'

"My name is Van D. Jono, you can call me Jon or Jono, i want to train to be a shinobi. Nice to meet you."-Jono said with a smile, he doesn't remember why he choose that name, but he like it, especially that D. it's sound cool.

"GYAGYAGYAGYA, nice to meet you Jon, i'm Dorry. Why don't you come at my place instead of here?"-Dorry

"Hey, don't steal my guest, GABABABA."-Broggy

"Um, you look like a good friends, but why are you duelling?"-Jono

"In Elbaf, if we have a dispute that we can't settle by talking, we will settle it by duel outside of Elbaf. We can't come back there until there's a winner."-Dorry

"That's right, and it's nearly a 100 years since our duel. The volcano erruption earlier is the signal to our duel."-Broggy

Jono is dumbfounded by those statement, 100 years of duel. Even his grandfather hasn't been born when they start duelling.

"Then, why're you duelling?"-Jono

""We forgot GYAGYAGYA/GABABA."" Dorry & Broggy.

"Eh?! I'm not expecting that. Then why're you still duelling?"-Jono

""It's our pride as a warrior"" Dorry & Broggy said with a serious face.

"Oh, WOW!!"-Jono got stunned

A warrior's pride, he doesn't know that feeling. But he feels deep respect for them. They don't back down and believe in their own statement, whatever it is that started this duel, to the point of duelling for a century just to prove they're right. Now, a new feeling arise in his heart.

'I will become a strong hearted man like them, a man that will believe his own heart, and stay true to their words. But why good warriors like them become pirates?'-Jono thought

"Um, i wanna ask something. You're a pirate right? Why respectable warriors like you become pirates? Aren't pirates way is the opposite of warrior way?"

"GABABABA, that's where you're wrong little Jon. That's true that a lot of pirate is bad guys, and criminals. But that is not what being pirates means."-Broggy

"Pirates are people that pursue freedom. They don't want to be bound by anything. Rules, people's oppinion, law, even death, they want to carve their own life." Dorry

Jono pondered about it and he feels that it's true. Pirates are really the deffinition of free. They do anything they want, they don't care about being hate by people, they face death many times on the sea, be it battles, hunger, dehydration. It's just that a lot of pirates are doing criminal stuff, and pirates that didn't do it aren't known by public.

He even remember his favourite pirate Jack Sparrow and...who is it? He can't remember the other one, whatever. So he start to look forward to it, he want to see this world, he want to do everything he want, as long as it doesn't contradict with his morals. Even tough GOD gave him a mission, he never said that he can't explore the world. But first, he need to be strong.

Then after Dorry back to his place, Jono ask Broggi to dig a cave for him to sleep. He need a closed place to do sleep so he doesn't feel cold. Not to mention some animal or bugs that may crawl on him outside. But he know he can't build his camp outside, the shockwave of their duel will destroy it.

They already do it for nearly a century, so it will not end soon. After Broggy dug a cave for him at the side of a cliff that doesn't face their duelling place, Jono set his tent inside to sleep and prevent bugs crawling on his skin. Big animal wouldn't come as long as Broggy stay outside.

Then he start to make a list of training that he need to do. First he will try to unlock his chakra tonight before sleeping. Starting tomorrow he will train his body, he'll train in saitama set for now, he doesn't have a good body training. He'll do the body training step by step and rise it's difficulty when he grow stronger. Then next..

'Wait, the system should've have a training regime right?' -Jono thought

[Yes host, System has set a training menu for host to follow so host doesn't need to worry about breaking your body by doing the wrong training]

'Damn, why don't you tell me?'-Jono

[System is just a support for host. System can't do something without host command.]

'Well, ugh, right. Alright then system, if you deem i need some support, quick give me your assistance. And give me notification if there's emergency.'-Jono

[Understood. Inputting command]

'So system, what should i do now?'-Jono

[System suggest Host to activate your chakra with system's assistance before sleeping.]

"Alright."-Jono

Jono begin to follow system's instructions to activate his chakra. Sometime later he feel a warm sensation in his abdomen, he think it's his chakra, then he feel it all around his body. He start to move his chakra so he can open his tenketsu point. Sometime later he finally succeed and his chakra can flow automatically. But he feels tired, so he sleep. Tomorrow, his training to be strong in this new world will begin.
