1 Jade Eyes

Not even a breath could be heard. It seemed as if even the clicking modern styled clock that hanged on the wall of the conference room went mute. As beads of sweat dripped from a couple of the board of directors foreheads, nobody dared to utter a single word as they trembled in fear.

From the end of the large oval table where they sat at, they witnessed how the red haired CEO of the company had stood up and walked towards the opposite side of the room with the sweetest smile they had ever seen on her face. Causing them to be even more shook to the core when a hard slap shushed all of their thoughts at once. A slap that seemingly wiped the smirk off the face of the man receiving it and turning his expression into one that mirrored most of the faces that stared back at him.

"Anna." The red haired woman called.

"Yes boss." Replied her secretary.

"I believe I have made it more than clear throughout the years as to my position on unworthy people who attempt to waist my time. Am I correct?"

"Of course boss." The same woman answered her.

"Then I am confused." She said as she brought up a hand to tap her chin with her index finger on it as if she was thinking. "If what you're confirming is indeed correct, then why is this excuse of a man implying that I have to listen to the trash spewing out of his mouth?"

The man in question was none other than George Flinn. The current chairman of Flinn Corporation. One of the three largest, wealthiest and influential companies in all of the country. Or better known as one of the big three. The very company the red haired woman had the CEO position in.

Finally snapping out of his state of shock, George looked up at the beautiful woman that had just struck his face in front of his employees.

She was in a tight fitted all black dress with long sleeves that stopped just above her knees. Every curve of her body was hugged in a way that highlighted her hourglass figure. Her strawberry red hair that brushed her shoulders every time she moved made her dark green eyes seem even more intense and memorizing as they looked down on him. No matter how you looked at her she was breathtaking.

"You stupid bitc-" He started to say but wasn't able to finish as his face was now once more turned to the side due to the impact of yet another unexpected slap.

"Never mind. I believe I have answered my own question Anna. I can now see that it was not my no nonsense policy's reputation that was lacking, but Mr. George's IQ level." She said as she smiled in what seemed a mixture of satisfaction and relief thanks to answering her own question.

She then made her way back to her seat at the other end of the table where her assistant Anna was standing next to. Swaying her hips from side to side she ignored all the pale stares directed at her while the clicking of her red bottom high heel shoes filled the silence throughout the room.

While sitting down in an elegant manner, she picked up the cup of coffee that was in front of her and took a sip. After setting it back down she proceeded to tap her perfectly manicured nails on the glossed wooden table top. Everything about her was calm and collected. She continued to interrupt the silence with her voice.

"Dear board members, I believe Mr. George has unfortunately lost his right to stay in his position as chairman."

'Not that he ever had it to begin with.' She thought to herself.

"Although untimely, I call into motion a vote to have him resign from his post and proceed with the selection of a new candidate for said position" She pronounced every word easily.

As everybody continued to stay silent, the still then chairman shot up from his seat and slammed both hands on the table making a loud noise. This caused all eyes to be on him.

"I am going to have you regret ever being born you useless, stupid bitch!!" George yelled at the top of his lungs while his face turned redder by the second.

George was 38 years old man with somewhat pleasing facial features. He was tall and had a lean body. His brown hair was kept short making his dark brown eyes hold all the attention of his onlookers. Any woman would find him attractive. Even more so after abruptly inheriting the position of chairman from his now dead father.

It was unusual that the position was inherited and not earned. Frank Flinn, George's father and the past chairman of the board, had always said he preferred hard working people even if that would exclude his children of the chance to gain the position. But, due to his constantly dotting on his oldest son George, nobody thought it suspicious when he suddenly ascended to take the most important seat of the company. Nobody except for Franks most intelligent pupil, the very CEO of his company.

Nothing escaped Claire Collin's jade eyes.

As Claire sat there lazily playing with one of the curls of her long hair she smiled while motioning towards her secretary to start with the plan that would be only the beginning of the downfall of those who she had blacklisted.
