5 First Catch

I understand why I felt the hidden and danger feeling. The unknown will always be scary as all hell. That's about it though. Shadow magic is absolute garbage. Shadow magic is only good for hiding stuff. You can't use shadow magic to attack, defend, or anything in combat. I mean it is literally light. Shadow magic is just obstructing light in a certain way to make it harder to see. It is a lot easier to get robbed if you cant see, but it can't do anything to anyone.

You couldn't expect some shadow to kill you I was hoping maybe I could get any type of offensive magic, but nope not possible now. Wait what if I could put the shadow into something. Oh my god. I might become a necromancer. I've never heard tales about a necromancer in this world. What if I can change that. Everything is possible in this world after all.

Right now that dream is far away. Even if I did want to take over a corpse using my shadow magic I don't have enough magic as it is now. Also comes the deal of if I would need to control every action of the corpse. Unless I would somehow keep the soul of creature in the corpse and just take over the soul. Also would I need to provide a constant supply of shadow magic to keep it 'alive' or would I only need to do it when it needs to 'heal'.

*Grumble*

That's all later issues right now the biggest is issue my stomach .

"Ok ok I will go stomach you happy?" I say grumbling while standing up. At least I was trying to stand up until my legs didn't move and I just kinda face planted forward. My legs fell asleep after sitting here for so long I have probably been here for over 4 hours. After a bit I stood up and just picked a piece of corn and munched down. I really don't care about who I took it from I am a shady character after all. I plan to be a necromancer I'm going to be hated by all anyways.

After eating my fill I finally leave the corn field and walk to my trap was set today to check up on it and get a drink of water from the stream its next to. After finding my trap empty like I expected I got some water and started to workout. I never really worked out on Earth, but I have no problem doing it now. A necromancer is still a horrible class for the start of anything unless you have a good team, obviously I don't.

A necromancer cant revive a corpse if there is no corpse in the first place. A necromancer must have the power to kill before it resurrects, which is the problem of a necromancer. I mainly ran around the forest doing parkour to work on agility for the day. I don't have anything to do strength training so I had to work on agility and speed for now. After a good 15 minutes I started to lose my footing and missing a lot. That 4 hours of pure concentration really wiped me out.

I didn't want to sleep in the forest though, so I walked back to town got a blanket that I keep in a small hole near town and went and passed out in the same cornfield.

I then started a routine everyday while I could since I found I no longer needed the healer. I would wake up go work out in the forest till my body was tired check on the trap and go practice my magic control in the cornfield. I no longer needed long to enter my inner world. I would gather as much shadow that I felt comfortable with, then I would attempt to reform the weird blob I accumulated into more refine figures. After picking to much shadow water I would lose control. I kept it in my inner world and noticed as long as I didn't wish it it wouldn't get more magic particles. Luckily when I would lose control it would stay in my inner world. If I moved the shadow water outside my body I would lose them and I would only gather more slowly and naturally. Shadow water would flow from the pillar. Or I guess I can call it my magic

On the third day after placing the trap I finally got something. I got a big squirrel in earth standards but normal size in Nixeus. I thought I would get some game on the second day with all the wildlife, but I forgot one factor. All things in the world on Nixeus is larger than on earth due to natural life energies being better. Similarly normal humans had life spans of 200ish almost double the earth life spans. So I adjusted the trap for Nixeus standards and went into town proud of my game.

I went into town looking for someone who would buy the squirrel and sold it for 25 copper it sold for more considering there was no wounds on the squirrels body except from a line around its neck, but still good condition for its pelt.

Afterwards I found Sam who was still trying to sell his fish. "Hey kid when you gonna pay me back? I swear if you cheated me again I will come beat you with this fish!" Sam joked at me while holding a fish over his head while giving a fake angry expression. I couldn't help but bursting into laughter. "Yeah yeah I got your money gramps. How much copper for a foot and a half? I need some more." I say between my laughs he looked so funny and accidentally slapped himself with the fish too.

He looked at me kinda surprised and weird while he spoke in a confused tone "Kid I will let the gramps thing pass if you tell me what you did to earn any money. It cost 20 copper ever foot and a half. I didn't give you that weird length for no reason. It comes from monster spider silk its quite pricey, but its some of the only stuff that can hold against those nasty fishes. They don't look like it, but these fish are strong as all hell kid."

I kinda look at him annoyed and joke at him "I didn't realize we were going to learn about each others jobs right now. Seriously gramps though I need some more and all I have is 25 copper. I set up trap up in the wild since nobody else hunts around here I took up the job. How about you give me two more lines of a foot and a half and call it a investment."

He instantly counter offered. "Ok how about this I give you 10 lines then in 2 weeks you pay me back 3 silvers and 20 coppers keep what you got now and get some cloths. Also cut that gramps shit out kid I'm only 34 . I leave in two days time for a big fishing trip so this is your last shot." "Deal!" I shook his hand and I swore in my heart I would pay him back in the future even if hes getting a free silver off this it helps me out a lot. I took the line and on the way out I laughed and said "Thanks gramps! You wont regret this!"
