3 Youth Competition

As the patriarchs continuously toasted, the gazes of the younger generation of the six great families had been aimed in the direction of each other.

Clearly, they were scouting out potential opponents for the upcoming battle. In contrast, the younger generation of the Fallenhand's and Pyrebender's each had a solemn look on their faces, but maintained an intimidating attitude that showed no signs of weakness or vulnerability.

Some of the great families' elders had repeatedly appraised the average strength of the Fallenhand's and Pyrebender's younger generations and could only sigh in unison in their hearts when they came to a final conclusion.

Despite the fact that each great family had a plethora of promising youngsters, it was clear that the Fallenhand and the Pyrebender's youths were a cut above the others, having undergone a rigorous training routine.

However, this does not rule out the idea that their own family's talented younger generation engaged in a rigorous training program; rather, it demonstrates how amazing are the Fallenhand and the Pyrebender's are in the region of Lochfield.

Each of them has tremendous innate talent and has exceeded the four famous families of the same generation.

They had first assumed that all of these years of progress had already spanned the gap between themselves and the younger generation, but when confronted with the reality of the situation, the elders recognized that their optimism had been based on overindulgence of a fantasy.

At that point, Patriarch Shieldroar got to his feet, his wine cup in hand, and said loudly,

"This cup represents this old man's toast to Patriarch Fallenhand, as well as the Shieldroar family's hope that his son, Wex Fallenhand, grow up to be a great warrior who would cause tremors across the Yutran Continent in his wake."

After concluding, Patriarch Shieldroar drank his cup in a single drink, placed the cup on the table, and continued, saying,

"However, despite the presence of several distinguished guests, up till now, it's as if the banquet has lacked something; it just isn't lively enough. Since, this is a once-in-a-lifetime celebration for little fellow Wex Fallenhand, until the coming of age ceremony, this old man and the other Patriarchs have a suggestion: why don't we allow a few of our younger generation in the same age range swap pointers? It may even liven things up, deepen their relationship, boost their combat experiences, and allow Patriarch Fallenhand and Patriarch Pyrebender to witness the current strength of the younger generation. So, what do you think? Are you game, Patriarch Fallenhand and Patriach Pyrebender?

"Piere! The proposal made by Patriarch Shieldroar is fantastic! Let's go for it!"

At that moment, a feminine voice could be heard, and two wonderfully beautiful females with jet black hair and fiery red hair were seen holding up three cute little munchkins thru the back door.

"Aria!"

"Keira!"

"What a brilliant idea! So, what are we waiting for? Let's get started right now; I'm sure Patriarch Shieldroar and the other Patriarchs would appreciate a good performance to see while dining."

As Aria Pyrebender's voice was about to be cut short, loud cheers and yells erupted one after another from the youths..

All of the great families' younger generations responded by rising to their feet, their eyes shining, and their bodies ready for battle.

The fact that Patriarch Fallenhand and Pyrebender could see that yearning in their eyes made it impossible for him to quench that raging flame. As a result, after exchanging glances and communicating using a specific method, Patriarch Fallenhand rose to his feet and nodded:

"Formation Master Tandu! Set up the basic Ring of Power Stage at once! Considering the strength of these youngsters, I think the Ring of Power Stage would suffice."

An elegantly dressed middle-aged man with mysterious silver marks on his robe leaped up on his seat and into the center of the hall, saying,

"Yes, Patriarch."

Floating above like a divinity, Formation Master Tandu hurled a small disk, which expanded into a 20-meter stage before revolving into the air and falling rapidly straight to the ground.

Boom—!

However, to the youngster's surprise, the titles didn't even break when the floor rattled; it handled the gigantic Ring of Power Stage like it was nothing.

When dealing with disputes in the Elementary Realm, the Ring of Power Stage is the ideal choice since it is not only easy to construct and lightweight to transport, but it can also withstand the assault of the Elementary Realm.

However, this does not mean that every practitioner has access to it; it is only accessible to practitioners from major clans, families, and schools, and is considered to be too costly for the common cultivator.

Following that, Patriarch Fallenhand issued the proclamation:

"Patriarch Shieldroar's suggestion is not bad. Then, if the other fellow Patirach's won't oppose to this, then how should we go about in swapping pointers?"

"That's simple!"

In the midst of his laughter, Patriarch Shieldroar continued,

"Our young juniors are different from us since they are in the initial stages when a person's age influences their path to glory; thus, it is only reasonable to consider age as a component in these pointer exchanges. Of course, a younger person may challenge an older person; and winning by this method would just make you seem even more brilliant! Hahaha."

"Since this idea was proposed by this old man, then we'll start with my Shieldroar family... Matheo, you're up! Don't forget to state your age."

"Certainly, Patriarch!"

The youngster who was summoned by Patirach Shieldroar seemed to be a thirteen to fourteen-year-old boy, and he was in fact one of the youngest of his family members that arrived at the venue.

In addition to having a small and well-toned physique, His energy surged through him, and he sprung from his seat and leaped into the center of the hall.

Whoosh--!

With a backflip, he landed safely like a swallow, and he then swept his eyes towards his peers below the platform.

"Matheo, Shieldroar Family! Fourteen years old. Who will do the honors to coming up to me and offering me some advice?"

Once Matheo ascended the Ring of Power Stage, every one of the younger generation below the platform had raging flames in their eyes.

Even though this Matheo was only fourteen years old, he was already at the third level of the Elementary Realm!

Furthermore, each of the six great families' younger generations had its own families' profound arts. As a result, even if they were of the same rank, ordinary cultivators and loose cultivators had little chance of winning, if not no chance at all.

A few seconds later, Matheo still stood there for quite a while, but there was no response from below the platform at all.

When he first felt the thrill, Matheo's expression was somber. However, since he was still just a teenager, even though he had reached the third level of the Elementary Realm, Matheo couldn't help but break into a wide grin whenever he felt the rush.

t didn't last long, though, as a skinny tall young man rushed onto the Ring of Power, his face lit up with enthusiasm, and shouted,

"Fallenhand Family, Keo! Thirteen years old... Senior Matheo, please provide me with some guidance!"

Following the sensation of a slight power emanating from Keo's body, Matheo was taken aback,

"Are you already on the third level of the Elementary Realm? How come... If the coming of age ceremony is conducted at the age of 13, then you must have trained for less than a year! That's incredible."

When Keo realized that he was being praised, he rubbed his face in embarrassment and answered,

"I don't dare to act cocky in front of senior, but I simply work harder than anyone else that's all." Keo grinned once he finished his sentence.
