5 Time Skip

...

It's been two years since that momentous celebration...

In a certain room in the great Fallenhand family, a tiny child flipped the book open using his tiny hands and slowly gliding his fingers, feeling through the rough texture on it, which the tiny child enjoys, at the same time, his eyes were moving about, appearing to try to read the book, as if he had already learned to read a book as a two-year-old.

Using his divine sense in scanning little Wex's room, the patriarch of the Fallenhand family, Piece Fallenhand, sighed as he sat cross-legged in his comfy cushion and sipped the invigorating tea using both of his hands in the lounge.

"Aria... Wex, our little boy... I must say, his aptitude is simply outstanding, plus, at a mere six months old, that little boy already began eating in the manner of a 4-year-old, and seeing it for the first time, when he refused to be spoon-fed by you... It's quite shocking when you know he's just a 6 months old baby, and dear... That boy eats the servings twice the size of the same age of his. And this was a big reason why, at just 1-year-old, he already manages to walk on his two feet and navigate himself out of his baby crib.

Beside him, his wife, Aria Pyrebender, was making tea next to him by levitating the teapot to her eye level and making a small flame at the tip of her finger, heard her husbands rumbling and replied,

"Well... Our little Rye did it at the age of two and a half, so I don't see you're point in this..."

"What's the point? Dear, Rye might be regarded as having exceptional aptitude in the outside world. However, if reading books at the age of one is not considered alarming to you. Then, sweetheart, tell me what you were doing when you were a year old. Except for the fact that you've been pooping all day, in your diapers."

"Stop it, Pierce... You're going to make me spit this tea out." Aria Pyrebender coughed gently, taken off guard by his husband's response.

"Let me be frank with you with you, Aria..." Sipping a refreshing tea made out of an uncommon plant known as Miracle Rosemary, Pierce Fallenhand continued,

"While not totally unheard of, like the recent incident, such as on the Yutran Continent's north. On a faraway village and close to that village, was the Snowrock City. A spectacular meteorite shower falls above a certain household, shocking the nearby villagers, upon which giving the birth of a newborn who is deemed the son of heaven. Or the traditions of possessing famous spirit bodies from birth, our young child Wex has the attributes of such legendary bodies... But I double-checked everything. And it seems that he has a normal constitution, though a stronger one than is appropriate for his age, due to his unexpected appetite.

While pouring herself another serving of tea, and upon which slowly sipping it and relishing its soothing taste, Aria Pyrebender replied,

"Now that you mention it, you do have a point, but what I'm saying is, if the man known as the mighty Liaison of Silver and the Patriarch of the Fallenhand family, heard of throughout Lochfield, if not the entire Yutran Continent, is now unexpectedly shocked by his son's outburst potential, then his son's aptitude must be somewhat amazing, to crack open this dry ice." Aria Pyrebender chuckled softly and looked at him with a mischievous expression in her eyes.

"Have I forgotten to mention the gorgeous mother who gave birth to such an exceptional boy, and seeing her blazing fiery red hair... It just makes you feel so comfy in the nigh-"

"Pierce! No way, not right now... We're in the lounge, you scumbag! Stop getting any closer to me..." Pierce Fallenhand, carefully tiptoed to her, while producing that familiar look in his eyes, and as he came closer, her heart fluttered.

Creek--!

The door cracked open and suddenly a charming young girl between the ages of 4-5 years old sauntered inside and, upon seeing her mother, she immediately raced forward and embraced her tightly.

"Mother!!"

"Little Rye!"

Gently stroking her daughter's hair with her dainty hand, Aria Fallenhand gave a glare to her husband, and upon seeing that glare, Pierce Fallenhand held his hands up, as a sign of defeat and slowly got back to his seat.

"Father... Mother! Look at what I can do..." Slowly at the tip of her finger, Rye Fallenhand excitedly exerted a high amount of her focus to leaving a small black coating flashing erratically at her finger and after a few moments, it vanished.

"Little Rye! You can already manifest a small amount of your bloodline? That's amazing!" Aria surprisingly said as she kissed her little forehead.

Nodding her head like a hen, she immediately turned towards her father to hear his praises, and slowly but surely, cute dimples formed on her face.

"Not bad little Rye... Keep it up, and you'll soon be a great warrior, just like your old man."

"Yes!! I get to become a great warrior! Do you hear that mother? I'll get to become like you and Father!"

"Settle down now... Your younger brother is on the other side of the room, and you might bother him by yelling." Aria Pyrebender whispered to little Rye's ear.

"Wex?! He simply sits there all day reading those dust-covered old books, while I'm already practicing sword fighting and hand-to-hand combat with Vance and Instructor Nikolas... And how could reading books all day be any better than having combat experience?" Rye Fallenhand said, at the same time motioning her hands behind her, as if cutting something ferocious.

"Little Rye. Don't you realize that reading books is full of wonders? All of the textbooks in fighting are all available in books... The fundamentals of hand-to-hand combat and sword fighting are the same. However, having an excellent tutor while also reading books is like killing two birds with one stone. Stuff simply forces you to blitz your way in and understand it in a short period of time." Pierce Fallenhand taught his daughter while slowly sipping Miracle Rosemary.

"So what you're saying, Father. That, Not only do I read books but also do training?! But reading is boring, as sitting all day in a room doing nothing simply makes you fall asleep. And I already got teacher Robick educating me about literature and the marvels of the Yutran Continent, and until the day I get my mana, I won't waste my time in reading books because it hurts!" Rye Fallenhand muttered this while carefully massaging her temples.

"Now that you mention it. At the age of 2, Wex will soon become you're classmate Rye."

"What?! Mother... Why?

With a slight smile on her face, Aria Fallenhand said,

"It's because your brother already knows how to read and write, I think you and him will be the perfect team, alongside Vance..." While saying all of this, Aria Fallenhand looked at her husband, Pierce Fallenhand.

And upon seeing that look on her face, Pierce nodded in understanding.
