7 Awakening (2)

As of now, Rye Fallenhand, at the age of 16, has a gorgeous appearance, complete with deep black eyes that sucks the soul out of you.

In the same line as her mother and father, she is a towering, valiant young lady standing at 1.8m.

Since she is clearly at the stage of development where she will still grow in the future, it is not yet guaranteed that her height will not rise in the near future.

Given the fact that her skin has been tanned as a result of her hard training under the sun, she is presently wearing her hair in a high-up ponytail since it would often get in her way, as the hair would cling to her face while she was sweating excessively.

...

Wex was closely following after her sister as they headed into the awakening hall, where a large number of young students from the bloodline academy would soon be tested and awakened as part of their coming of age ritual, which will take place when they are thirteen years old.

As a naive teenager, Wex is still a greenhorn when it comes to the multitude of things that occur, and he still expresses his inner emotions from time to time when he is dissatisfied with anything.

While walking, Wex muttered, with a sigh of resignation in his voice.

"Rye... You've reached the Elemental 8th realm, right? Damn... Since I was unable to cultivate my elemental essence, I've been forced to stand by and watch you guys become stronger and stronger."

"For 3 whole years Rye... You've been picking on me cause, As I'm always the weaker one, but it ends today."

"Pff... As if you could somehow cross the chasm that separates us... Even though I'm aware that our father has praised you since we were children, going to the 8th Elemental realm? In less than a year? What are you? A god? Hahaha...." Rye Fallenhand burst out laughing as she recognized the voice of defeat from her beloved brother.

Slightly annoyed, Wex Fallenhand, replied,

"I'll show you... Give me 1 year, then I'll wipe off the smugness out of your face."

"Sure..." Rye Fallenhand said, with a small smirk on her face, and continued, "Please don't do any harm to your older sister, since your older sister has always taken good care of you since you were a tiny little kid."

As Wex was about to continue his complaints, a beautiful young woman, hurriedly ran, but still remained her graceful self.

"Mom!" Waving her hand, Rye Fallenhand, took a step at the right, and showed their star of the show, " Here's the guy you're looking for..."

"Wex! Come here, the awakening ceremony is about to begin, and mind explaining why you are running late?" Then, quickly taking her two children in her hands, Aria Pyrebender said, "Your father is now waiting for you, let's leave..."

"I'm ready...", Wex said, nodding his head in agreement.

Not even a split second later, a blast of pressure lifted them off the ground, and Aria Pryebender took to the air, bringing them swiftly to their destination.

She arrived safely and expressed her gratitude by saying,

"Your father and I will be in the back of the hall rooting for you. And now you youngsters, go inside and get along with everyone else,"

"Okay mom... I'll be with Vance and the others, Wex, just go directly inside, and instructor Nikolas will call corresponding names, so if you're called, just go in the stage, and give them hell..." Rye Fallenhand had a lovely grin on her face as he lightly punched his younger brother's shoulder as a gesture of encouragement.

"Don't be worried; I've got this," Wex spoke seriously and quietly, but the excitement and confidence in his eyes that was being radiated couldn't be concealed by the two women, and as a result, these two women felt confident in his display.

"All right... stop it, you two, and get moving." As she gently pushed Wex into the hall and urged Rye to go do her thing, Aria Pyrebender nearly burst into tears as a show of delight.

Wex sat on a vacant seat, slowly but steadily, as he cast a light look towards the rear of the hall, where he could see her father and mother, as well as his elder sister, in the distance.

"Jeez... My jealousy overflows when I hear that even the Patriarch attended your awakening... He even made time for you, despite the fact that he is very busy..." A tall, handsome young man with black hair and dark eyes sat beside him.

"It's you Famir? What's more, isn't your grandpa also present?" Wex responded to a close buddy of his.

Many individuals wanted to become friends with Wex at the Bloodline Academy, mainly because of his excellent status, but he was well aware that these people were just interested in exploiting him, therefore he was not interested in being friends with them.

Famir, who he got along with throughout his time at the Bloodline Academy, where he was constantly lonely owing to the fact that some were pressuring him and others were simply attempting to exploit him, was one of the people he met during his time at the academy.

Famir Fallenhand isn't your average guy; he's someone who engages in bizarre behavior every now and then, so he was able to relate to Wex's situation and eventually made friends with him.

Not out of sympathy, but rather because, as the saying goes, two birds of a feather flock together. It's simply two guys having a good time, not bragging about their social standing.

"Grandfather? Unavoidably, he's going to show up... He can't afford to miss his grandson's first moments of life."

"But, can't a man be jealous when the Patriarch of the family is here and watches-"

Famir's speech was abruptly cut short by a resounding announcement made by teacher Nikolas, and the beginning of the awakening ceremony would follow shortly after.
