The Shadow King System

When Essence was first discovered, humanity was divided and split off into Clans. These Clans were labelled in accordance with the power they wielded. The Lightning Clan, Fire Clan, Earth Clan, Variant Clan, Water Clan, Wind Clan, Light Clan, and Shadow Clan. Each Clan consisted of Elementalist's and Beast Tamers. While Elementalist's are only able to manifest their associated element directly into their hands, Beast tamers are able to imbue their Essence into beasts gifting the beast their element and also gaining a familiar. Over time each Clan began to amass their power, one, in particular, quickly began to surpass the other clans in terms of power which caused unrest within a few of the other Clans and thus the First Clan War began. Their Goal Wipe out the Shadow Clan. Follow Ric he tries to uncover the reason behind the destruction of his clan and learn about the power of the shadow all while trying to restore his Clan.
