Last of the Murderers

"Why is it so serious?" Mia was a little anxious and pulled Xu Mo, saying, "Come with me so I can help you apply some medicine. Yao`er, go play with Elder Sister Elsa."

"Alright," Yao`er nodded docilely and then turned to talk toward Elsa, who took a look in Xu Mo's direction and continued to play with Yao`er.

Mia pulled Xu Mo over to sit at the general store's entrance, and then she went in to take some medicine.

"Why were you so careless?" Bai Wei also asked when she saw the bruise. Xu Mo smiled bitterly.

Mia walked over. She then dabbed some of the medicinal ointment on her finger and rubbed it on Xu Mo's face.

"Sss..." Xu Mo gritted his teeth, thinking to himself that he was going to take revenge on Sister C tomorrow.

"It must hurt." Mia's finger rubbed gently, and she blew at Xu Mo's face. At this moment, Xu Mo felt a numbing feeling. When looking at the face in front of him, his gaze became a little strange.

Mia didn't think too much into things, but when she looked at Xu Mo's eyes, their gazes met and her face instantly flushed up. After that, she quickly backed off and lowered her head to close the medicinal ointment.

"Miss Mia, why did Miss Elsa stay so long today?" Xu Mo asked a little curiously.

"What's the matter, Yao`er?" Elsa didn't understand. She squatted down and hugged Yao`er.

Xu Mo dashed over and picked Yao`er up, staring at the young man who was squatting on the ground in front of him. Mia also came running over. The motorbike continued to make noisy sounds, and the young man who got off sat back on it. Thereafter, the motorbike moved, circling around Xu Mo's group.

"What do you guys want?" Elsa and Mia had never encountered such a situation before and their countenances changed.

The two of them got up and stared coldly at the person who had come over. It was Elsa's coachman, Cooper. Xu Mo wasn't surprised. In their previous trip to the main city district, he knew that this coachman also played the role of protecting Elsa.

Elsa's parents shouldn't be simple characters.

At this moment, the two thugs got up and stared at Cooper, who stood in front of Elsa and looked at them with a ferocious gaze.

One of them took out a folding knife from his back but was pulled back by the other person behind him. He said, "Let's go first."

Putting away the folding knife, the man threw Xu Mo a cold glance. The two of them then turned to walk toward the streets, lifted up the motorbike, and left the place amidst piercing sounds.

"Yao`er, it's alright now," Xu Mo consoled softly. Yao`er stopped crying but continued to grab onto Xu Mo's arm, not willing to come down nor speak. She looked like a completely different person from the previous lively girl.

"Xu Mo, who are those people?" Elsa asked. She felt that the two of them seemed to know Xu Mo.

"I don't know them," Xu Mo replied. "Thank you, Miss Elsa."

There wasn't a need to tell Elsa about this matter.

"It's fine." Elsa shook her head and looked at Xu Mo. She hesitated for a moment before saying, "I'm very sorry about what happened the other day."

"Mn." Xu Mo nodded and carried Yao`er back, not saying much. He wasn't in the mood at the moment.

Elsa was stunned for a moment, feeling a little disappointed to see that Xu Mo didn't pay her any heed. From her conversations with Mia, she had guessed that Xu Mo was the one who had created those pieces of music. This guy was a musical genius.

"Miss Elsa, let's go back first," Cooper spoke up. They had been out for a very long time today.

"Alright." Elsa nodded and said to Mia, "Mia, I'll come again tomorrow."

"Alright." Mia nodded. The two of them bade their goodbyes, and Elsa left on her horse carriage.

After returning to the general store, Xu Mo's brows continued to be furrowed.

"Xu Mo, what happened?" Bai Wei asked Xu Mo.

"It's nothing." Xu Mo shook his head and carried Yao`er back to his room.

"Yao`er, get some sleep," Xu Mo said to Yao`er.

"Mn." Yao`er nodded docilely and lay down quietly, hugging Xu Mo's leg.

Xu Mo looked at the girl and stroked the gun at his waist. He had brought it out from the abandoned factory.

Other than a gun, he also had hidden weapons on him. In addition to his perception and the improvement of his physical attributes, he now possessed a certain level of strength. However, after seeing Cobra in action today, he should still be a far cry unless he could find a chance to launch a sneak attack, killing his opponent in one try.
