9 Kill...

The fact that Helkep was bleeding wasn't enough for the red-haired boy to let him go.

He was already charging towards Helkep. His mind was taken over by anger.

He grabbed Helkep by his shirt, and smashed him into the ground.

As if smashing him into the ground wasn't enough he started punching him.

After the boy had finally stated his anger, he threw Helkep on the ground and walked back.

"He's all yours now." The red-haired boy wiped the blood on his face.

Joy bounced on the lackeys faces. "Thank you boss. You're the best."

The lackeys started flattering the red-haired boy. Though soon their flattery stopped.

They weren't moving towards Helkep either. They stood there with their mouths agape.

"What? What is it?" The red-haired boy looked towards where his lackeys were looking only to be shocked as well.

He immediately fetched a weird triangular thingy from his pocket and pointed it where he was looking.

The shock on his face was replaced by fear. He immediately turned tail and started running.

He didn't care for his lackeys or Helkep he just ran, as if his death was standing behind him.

The lackeys weren't complete idiots either, they knew they were in trouble and started running.

Helkep who was unconscious, didn't know what had happened.

When Helkep waked up, he found himself covered in blood. He looked around and found no one, the boy's had left him here. Without doing anything.

Helkep saw that his wounds were healed. Only some scratches were left.

He couldn't help but feel helpless, he couldn't even leave this world. An artifact had been embedded inside him, to protect him.

It was embedded when he was a child, when he was destined for greatness. It was meant for a genius not a loser like him.

Now it was a curse for him, that never let him leave this world. Always forcing him to live, reminding him of the past of glory and pride he had lived in.

Helkep got up looked around for the final time and finally headed for his next class.

Helkep's mind was busy thinking why he was spared.

Sighing once again he couldn't help but think just how many mysteries he had himself occupied with.

He reached his class and sat once again on the back seat. The students and the teacher were shocked looking at him.

'Why am I attracting so much attention? Have I changed from before or what? It feels like they are seeing a new person. Sigh!' The strange gazes made Helkep question himself again.

The battle theory class continued on. Helkep listened to it half-heartedly.

His battle theory was brilliant, his calm mind allowed him to face any situation and come up with the perfect counter-attack.

It wasn't that he was born with this instead he had forged it...with the help of...fellow students.

He listened while sighing on the gazes upon him. He was prepared...yet again.

After the students asked their questions, at the end of the class, Helkep waited for most students to leave and left, followed by...fellow students. They invited him to come with them and he...couldn't resist them.

Some time later Helkep was laying in his blood, unconscious.

A girl made her way towards him, suddenly she stopped in her tracks, her mouth open wide, she gulped her saliva and without hesitation ran, followed by a few other students.

Helkep woke up soon, only to be surprised, he was once again...completely healed.

Walking towards his next class, it was a boon that their was a break after every class, his mind was occupied by thoughts, 'What is happening? Something is up...no something as been wrong since entering the wild cage. What happened? I did try to use my innate skill but...I will never be able to use skills. Sigh!...What is happening?'

Occupied by thoughts Helkep made his way towards his next class. The same thing happened in the class again but this time no one followed him when he left the class.

He was lucky enough to not have any more trouble for the next four classes. At the next class which was about weapon training, trouble occurred yet again.

The teacher gave an assignment to kill... monsters.

The monster was a rank 0 with the average level about 15. The students were supposed to kill 10 monsters to consider their assignment completed. Any additional kills might or might not get you a higher score.

The problem begun here. "Hmm! Helkep you can skip the assignment. You don't need to complete it, I will give you an acceptable grade." The teacher knew Helkep wouldn't be able to kill the monsters and no one would create a party with him either.

Giving him the assignment only meant two things either he didn't attempt it at all or if he did, his death would be on his hand.

"No, no teach, aren't we here for out friend? We will help him complete the assignment. I am certain he doesn't want an unfair pass either. I will help him complete the assignment. So there's no need for him to get labelled as a cheater and gain the hat--.Ahem, ahem, well I will help him, you don't need to worry about anything, give him the assignment." A boy with golden hair stood up and said to the teacher.

"...What is the Jill familie's heir doing? I don't think he has ever caused me trouble before. Does he need a re-freshening bag as well? Is his family also starting to put pressure on him? Sigh! Guess I should welcome a new keeper. Sigh!" A barrage of thoughts appeared in Helkep's mind.

"Are you...sure about this? Well I don't mind you helping a fellow classmate but...you are sure about this, right?" The teacher had another reason, he didn't want Helkep to distract his other students from their assignment. What the assignment was for, wasn't only for a test but also for the weapon the students will be using in the up-coming event.

If Helkep somehow became a distraction for the students... then it will lower his class performance.

"Yes teach! I am certain. It will be my pleasure to help a fellow classmate." The boy nodded his head and came towards Helkep.

"Aren't I right? You don't want to pass like this right?" The boy asked Helkep, his hand on Helkep's shoulder as if they were long lost friends.

"...Yea." Helkep nodded his head with a blank expression. 'I couldn't be more righteous.' He added inside his head.

"See teach, he doesn't like it either." The boy said to the teacher with the biggest smile as if he had won the lottery.

Helkep couldn't help but think his guess was right, something was off.

"Oh Noil you are so good." A girl exclaimed. Soon the classroom was filled by the girls praises.

Though for looks, Helkep could beat Noil with his eyes closed, hands tied, legs broken.

"Okay, okay. Quiet down, ok Helkep you can take the assignment, to make it a bit easier for you, you only need to kill 5." The teacher would have given Helkep one if it didn't seem suspicious.

"...Come on Helkep aren't you going to thank Noil and the teacher?" A girl suddenly said.

'...I should thank the teacher and this Noil? Huh!... Who th--."

Ding! The loud sound of the bell snapped Helkep out of his thoughts. "Ok class I wish you the best of luck for the assignment." Waving his hand the teacher left the class.

"Alright Helkep see you tomorrow, outside the dungeon at 12." Noil left giving Helkep a pat on his shoulder.

When he left the class a gleeful smile formed on his face. He opened his status screen and a certain part made him burst into a fit of gleeful laughter.

'Its a freaking quest. Unbelievable! Why is there a quest to help him? Well who cares, this is my first quest and I am already blown by the rewards.' Noil thought while joy beamed from his every pore.

The rest of the day continued on, with Helkep getting invited by his classmates a few times.

At night Helkep was making his way towards his dorm room while thinking of what tomorrow will be like. He was really curious why Noil had done what he had done.

Setting his curiosity aside for the time, he opened the door for his dorm room, the moment he looked back after closing the door, a punch came towards him.

"Yo Helkep! Who would have thought you would arrive without informing your roommates? Man, you broke our heart. You couldn't even tell your friends?" A boy with light brown hair and eyes spoke, with a heart broken voice.

"..." Blood came from Helkep's nose.

"Now, now I am sure he is tired, let him rest. We will ask him his reasons tomorrow." The other boy with dark brown hair and eyes said while giving a hand to Helkep.

Helkep sighed and took the hand when helkep stood up, a punch came yet again. "If you say so." The light brown haired boy left for his room.

The dark brown haired boy left as well, wiping the blood from his hand.

Inside his room, Helkep opened a book. 'One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, seven invites. Today's treatment was...kind.' Helkep wrote while thinking. The previous page of the book had been counted to 54.
