1 Chapter 1

Dear mom, I hope this letter found you well. you were the only one who ever truly loved me out of this whole pack, and I'm sorry I have to leave you but after what happened I can't stay anymore. I know I've only just shifted a few months ago but I promise I'll be fine I'll call you when I can but till then i guess I'll live life as a rouge I love you mom ~ Kazzy

I folded up the letter and laid it on my dresser then wrote to mom on it I had everything prepared over the last month and tonight is the night I finally leave this horrid pack.

It was 2 in the morning I tied my hair back and put my backpack on I quietly opened my window and climbed out onto my roof then I quietly closed it jumping off my roof and running for the woods as fast as I could.

I went straight for the pack territorys border and as I reached it, I stopped I shifted into my white wolf and picked up my bag then ran off the territory.

After running for the whole night I got near a town and changed back into human form and put on some clothes that were in my bag. I put it back on my back and walked into town and found a diner.

I had roughly $100,000 on me and yes I stole it from my dad's safe but he deserved it. I walked into the diner and sat at a booth. after a minute a waitress walked over to me and gave me a menu "anything I can get you to drink dear?" She asked 'just water please' I wrote on a piece of paper I had pulled out from my bag and she nodded and walked away.

I didn't or more like couldn't talk, not since I was little when my dad gave me something that would make the voice box unable to work but honestly even if I could talk I wouldn't to at least I don't think I would.

I stared at the menu and a few minutes later she brought me my water "what can I get you to eat?" She asked  'just some of the mac and cheese please' I wrote again and she wrote it down "that'll be right out" she said with a smile and I smiled back.

a little while later she brought me my mac and cheese and walked away to go behind the counter again. I noticed that she was on the phone when I looked over to her again and she was looking at me.

I continued to eat when I heard the bell of the diners door open the diner seemed pretty busy so I didn't think much of it untill a tall man probably about 6'0ft tall sat down across from me he had black hair and piercing green eyes and he looked to be in his early or mid 20's.

I stopped eating and looked up at him "hello" he said as he looked at me "what's your name" he said again I didn't write a word and went back to eating "you know, your on my territory" he said in a serious tone and my eyes went wide.

I went into my bag and pulled out a map and looked to see where I was 'shit" I thought to myself I put the map away and pulled out money to pay for my food  closed my bag and started writing 'I'm really sorry I didn't know I'll leave right now' I wrote and was about to leave "wait" he said "sit down" and I sat back down.

"How old are you?" He asked 'how old are you?' I wrote and gave him the paper "I'm 23 your turn" he said in a serious tone I sighed 'I'll be 18 in a month' I wrote and he nodded. "And your name" he said still serious, I rolled my eyes 'Kasmine Rivera' I wrote and his eyes went wide "your james rivera's daughter" he said and my blood boiled I grabbed his arm "that man is not my father" I growled back through a mind link and his eyes went wide again.

Probably because I was able to mind link him and not be in his pack. I was honestly never sure how or why I could do it but I had to touch the person for it to work if their not in the same pack as me.

"You know he's looking for you right" he said and I nodded still angry "why'd you run" he asked "that's none of your business" I linked back "and why don't you talk" he asked

"Again none of your business" I continued to link him "well if you don't want to tell me I guess I could just call your father" he said pulling his phone out "Ill tell you but we need to go somewhere private I can't risk anyone hearing your loud mouth" I replied through the link and he nodded I put the money on the table and followed him out to his Jeep and got into the passenger seat.

"Talk" he said looking at me I gave him a look and rolled my eyes I then grabbed his arm again "that pack isn't as good as it seems. They lie cheat and beat well mostly me and the reason I don't talk is because my father poisoned my voice box I haven't been able to speak for years eventually I had enough and I left" I linked looking down a my hands I could sense the anger radiating off of him. "What pushed you to your breaking point" he asked through gritted teeth. "When they raped me" I said through the link looking up at him, tears filling my eyes. His eyes went wide and he started the Jeep. "What are you doing" I asked "taking you to a hospital" "your not taking me anywhere until I at least know your name" I linked him.

"My name's Anthony" he said then put the Jeep into drive and drove off.

Anthony's POV

How could a pack do such a thing to such a kind girl. I couldn't help but be mad just the thought of someone doing that to my mate... My mate. She wouldn't even know untill she turned 18 she wouldn't for a month If I told her she might not believe me I have to keep her here at least till then. And her voice if it's that beautiful through the link how beautiful it when she speaks I hope the doctor can fix her.
