136 Unrest

The next few days were filled with unease and unrest as the whole city starts preparing for what could possibly be a war. In theory, an ant can't stand up against a wasp. The wasp will kill the ant but if the whole ant colony attacks, the wasp doesn't stand a chance.

I just hope this ant colony will be enough to take down these wasps. Thane and I are the only ones who can currently leave the safety of the City gates. We make rounds off and on but so far, they haven't come back. 

Even though they haven't come back, they linger several miles away as if sizing us up again. They now know that Thane and I are here now but hopefully, they'll think there are more like us. If they don't think it's worth it, they'll move on. 

Something tells me they won't though. I stand at the edge of the woods, looking out over the bare trees as a cold breeze rustles the fallen leaves on the ground.

I have noticed something though, they only seem to move at night. Why?
