5 Chapter 4

Aine POV

Standing in the middle of the woods is everything I had my set heart set out to do today. Do you hear the sarcasm coming off of these words? I would rather be home in bed. The woods have bugs and rocks. I do not like either in my shoes, which currently there are a lot of. I look at my sister Morgan, she has a serious look in her eyes. With that kind of look in her eyes, I knew that a small nagging part of her knew that something big is going on.

At the moment we are waiting for everyone else to arrive. The only ones here right now are Morgan, Alisa, and myself. Cate had to deal with a runaway Fae criminal before she will be able to meet with. Kira and Marcus are still working on whatever made them leave early last night.

"Hey, how much longer do you think they will be?" I ask, starting to feel my boredom creep up.

Morgan shrugs, picking up a stick.

"I have not a clue as to how much longer they will be." Morgan says, throwing the stick back down.

I groan, I am so freaking bored. Waiting for everyone to show up, is so freaking boring. Alisa chuckles at my frustration, shaking her head at me.

"They will be here, I'm estimating in about two minutes. From personal experience, I know that Cate is done with her assignment."

"And you would be correct." Cate's voice calls out.

Cate shakes her hair out behind her. Making her way over to us, I can now clearly see all of her features. Currently, she is rocking her Fae ears and markings she has had since birth. We rarely see her true appearance due to us going to a mostly human school. If she went to the only Supernatural school, her true appearance would be allowed to be shown a lot more. The problem with that is since Morgan and I are not Supernaturals we would not be able to see her very often.

"Took you long enough." Morgan says.

Cate rolls her eyes.

"Fuck you. Did you have to chase the rat bastards across two different and numerous different countries? No? I didn't think so."

Morgan laughs.

"Oh? Did you go through the sewers? Cause you still haven't quite got the stench off of you."

Cate's eyes widen. I quickly cover to try to muffle the sound of my laughter. Morgan was not wrong, Cate smelled of rotten fish and eggs. The smell of her is unsettling to the stomach, enough to make one want to throw up.

Alisa frowns at Morgan. She cocks her head to the side.

"To me, she smells fine?" She says in a tone that sounds like she is asking a question.

Morgan shrugs.

"That's what your nose smells. To me she still reeks of shit."

Cate flips her off. I shake my head. These are the type of people Morgan and I choose to be friends with. Plopping down on the ground I cross my legs and as soon as I did Kira appears next to me Marcus in tow. I didn't even flinch, already quite used to their ability to suddenly appear out of the blue at any given time.

Kira sit down on the ground next.

"Are you ready to get this show on the road?"

Alisa take the que and begins her spiel.

"On the night of the blue moon, there will a rise in the witches overall power, this can lead some witches losing part of their sanity due to not being used to having a high level of magic. Most witches are typically mid-ranked paranormals, most of us do not control a lot of Mana. That is not the case for all witch just a vast majority of us. Some of the more powerful witches will be over-runned by the many weaker witches with too much Mana that they can not control. We the Coven of Shifter Allies need the extra hands of paranormals that are not affect by the Blue Moon. That is where Cate, Marcus and Kira your help will be needed."

Morgan frowns at her.

"What is so special about us being there then?"

Alisa shrugs.

"It beats fucking me. The High Priestess refused to tell me. If I chose to keep questioning her she was going to have me work over at Neely's shop and you know how much I hate working there."

Alisa shudders a bit at the thought of having to work there again. Everyone have share that same sediment. Working at Neely's shop sucks. To many normies think the things are in her shop are toys and like touching as well as mess with thing they have no business fucking around with.

"That's good and all but why did we have to meet in the woods?" Marcus asks, playing with sticks.

I feel myself smile, then I frown and look over at him holding my hand out. I nearly forgot that he owed me Greek chocolate.

"Hold on Anna, baby."

I feel my cheeks get hot. I am forever grateful that I have darker skin that you can't tell when I am blushing.

"But I want my chocolate." I says, pouting.

He chuckles and reaches over to me grabbing my cheeks.

Looking me dead in eyes he says, "And you will get your chocolate, Angel-cake but let me give it to you after we get out of the woods. I know you don't like to litter."

He is putting on the charm, part of me is is swooning, the other part of me is whining because I'm not eating chocolate right now.

"Okay, that's fine."

I am still pouting but I know that he is right about having me wait. I really hate to litter. I turn away from him catching Morgan and Cate fake gagging. I roll my eyes, flipping them both off.

"Alisa you haven't tried to answer the question as to way we are in the woods." Marcus say, nudging for an answer.

She grins and raises her hands, muttering a spell under her breath.

"We came to the woods to meet a member of the Elven tribe."
