3 Chapter 3, Trouble

Erica dialed the number and heard only a couple of rings heard Sabina's voice.

"Sabina, dear, how are you?!" the girl asked with joy in her voice, squinting and jumping with happiness.

"It's okay, don't worry, Aunt Lea is helping me with everything. I called to ask how you were? How did you get there? How's it going?", Sabine began to ask.

"Everything is going just fine, and you were afraid, I told you... I can handle it, " Erica said, but at the last words she let out a tear, "I promised that everything would be fine.

"I'm still an intern at the bakery. There is also a bed for the night, there are at least some friends", she shared the news.

Then Sabina began to talk to herself, but the connection was getting worse and worse by the second, and soon the connection was completely lost. This made Erica very upset, so she leaned against the wall with her shoulder, holding the phone in one hand and covering her face with the other.

Also, Erica was afraid that not, that she would not collect the necessary amount, but that she would not have time to collect it-this was the most terrible thing that could happen for her. Unfortunately, the girls ' parents abandoned Sabina when they learned that she had coronary heart disease. Then the girl was fourteen years old, and Erica was sixteen. She often visited her sister and promised that she would pick her up.

In the eighteenth birthday of the older sister, the parents were in a fatal accident, so the house went to Erica, a few days later she took her sister from the orphanage. And from that moment on, Erica worked as a courier, a nurse, and a waitress. And in all matters, the girls were helped by their neighbor Lea, who had known the girls since childhood and loved them as her own daughters.

"I'm sorry for eavesdropping, but what are you crying about?", asked Theodore, who appeared.

He squatted down so that he could see the girl's downcast face. Erica didn't even realize who it was at first, but when she realized it, she ran back to the dining room, cleaning herself up along the way. She ran to her colleagues ' table.

"You've been talking for so long. Something important? " asked Andre.

After his question, the eyes of everyone at the table were turned in Erika's direction.

"Did something happen?",

"Are you all red",

"Did you cry?", they began to ask questions.

The girl, as in previous times, when they answered just smiled and pretended that everything was fine.

"Erica, if you have something wrong, you can tell us", one girl said.

"Yes, we have a friendly team, so please contact us. Get used to this atmosphere", another guy said.

"Colleagues, please stand up Monsieur Rainer has arrived and wants to see his employees," said the woman who had assigned Erica to the bread shop.

And just a couple of minutes later, a young guy with glasses and black hair just above his shoulders came into the room.

"Well, I will dedicate the next week to all of you, my dears!", he raised his glasses and began his speech rather pretentiously, "I was sent to you because of...", he paused and continued, " Although you should not be interested in what.

The key word is that you will all work the way I want you to, " At the end, he chuckled and lowered his glasses and left the dining room.

In the eyes of all the employees, you could see the excitement and the director herself was worried about all this, because she also could not say a word too much to him. She wanted to say something, but she stumbled and eventually left too.

All the workshops began to resent it, clearly no one wanted to see it.

They discussed what happened the last time he came, "Do you remember when we repainted the whole coffee shop because he didn't like the colors?",

"Now he's going to blackmail everyone again",

"When a girl fell out of the window because of him",

"He also killed a man in the back room",

"He went around with a gun and turned off the cameras so that there was no evidence", and there were a lot of stories from different places.

Whether to believe it or not, Erika didn't know.

"What are you thinking about?",

"Is it true? Everything they say about Monsieur Rainer", the girl replied with a question.

"Unfortunately, yes", the guy replied.

After that, she began to have doubts about this job. Somehow everything is too criminal and dangerous.

"It'll be all right, pretty girl. We're like friends, " Andre said.

But then again, Erica was relying only on herself. She has no sense of relying on anyone.

After this announcement, everything went back to normal, until Monsieur Rainer came into the shop.

It's been a long time ... he said and paused to look at everyone present, " Oh, I see you have a new addition.

You're at the third table in a red jacket", he briefly described the person he wanted to address, and it was Erica.

"Yes?", the girl asked, a little timidly.

"Rainer, why do you need it?", Fabien tried to translate the topic.

"First of all, I'm not just a Rainer to you, but a Monsieur Rainer.

It's worth remembering, " he chided Fabien.

"I need to check your qualifications, so after the shift, you'll come to my office, Fabien will take you," he said, and then changed the subject.

As told, Erika went to Rainer's office after finishing her work. She knocked on the door and, after permission, went in quietly.

"To be honest, I thought you weren't coming", he said, pouring the wine.

"What are you doing?", the girl asked, ignoring the guy's words.

"Can't I have a drink at work, relax after work?", making a relaxed smile, he took a glass of wine, and handed the other to Erica.

"I'll refuse," the girl said, and anointed her with her hands as a sign of refusal, but the guy insistently shoved the glass into her hand.

The girl exhaled and moved on to the main topic, " So, what did you want to see? Let's get this over with quickly, I have my own things to do, " Erika said firmly, knowing that Andre was waiting for her to go home.

"I want to see you," he said, sipping from his glass.

"If you brought me here just for this, then I will refuse," she put down her glass and turned towards the entrance.

"You're not going anywhere if you want to work here. I pay well for my work."..
