Chapter 2, Job news

It's already late at night. Erica is already sitting in her temporary room. She looked at every corner, because again, it didn't look like the place she was used to. That house in Grasse is very rickety and has been standing for a very long time. Probably lived there for four generations.

She got out of bed and went to the window and opened the window. A cool breeze brushed her face and brushed her long, curly brunette hair back a little. All the elegance of Paris was in her eyes. Only occasionally could the voices of people passing by be heard.

She folded her elbows on the windowsill, propped her chin on her hands, and closed her eyes, enjoying the peace.

Andre was lying on his back, wondering if he had done the right thing by letting her in. A completely unknown, closed and seemingly from the world of everything girl. You might think that he fell in love, but no, it wasn't some kind of infatuation and he didn't have any feelings, most likely it was some kind of experiment. Each with his own thoughts after some time went to bed and in the morning at six in the morning they began to get ready for work.

Andre's alarm went off and he went into Erica's room. The girl didn't even think to wake up.

"Erica, wake up," Andre said, shaking the girl.

Having closed her eyes and suffered them, the girl stretched out and opened her eyes.

"We have to get ready for work, so get dressed", Andre said, and left the room.

The girl sat on the edge of the bed and stretched again, got up and put on the same things as yesterday. After a couple of minutes, she decided to leave the room and find Andre, who was already eating.

"Sit down, what I could make, I made," the guy said, and pointed to a plate of toast in an egg.

Erica sat down at the table in silence and began to eat. The guy looks at the screen of his phone in parallel, she did not talk to him and took him away.

"We'll be out in ten minutes, so don't stay up too long", Andre said, as emotionless as he had been all morning.

He's not the same as yesterday, Erika thought. They went to work without talking, under the noise of everyday life.

"Two more days and I'll be hired," Erica dreamed.

After a hile, while Erika was putting on her work clothes, another employee approached her.

"And who are you?", he asked ," I don't remember you", narrowing his eyes, he began to carefully examine the girl.

"I'm new, or rather an intern," the girl replied.

"And in which shop?", the guy asked, relaxing a little.

"In the bread shop," she answered without hesitation.

"Okay, I'll remember you. I'm Theodore from the dessert shop", he said, and politely extended his hand for introduction.

Erica relaxed and returned his love. Now the guy did not seem so formidable, but bright and good-natured.

"I'm probably distracting, you probably need to get to work already. Fabien is strict with trainees", the guy noticed and once again held out his hand, "See you later, talk to me again", after that he went to an unknown wing for the girl.

But when she looked at the time, she realized that she really should have hurried. Out of breath, she ran to her workshop and ran to her workplace.

Immediately Andre came up to her.

"Where have you been?" he asked.

"I'm a little confused", the girl said.

"If you got caught, you'd kill Fabien", he said.

"Why are you all talking so bad about him? He is, of course, strict, but it seems to me not so much, " she expressed her opinion.

"Who's everyone?", Andre asked in confusion, " So that's how confused you are".

"Just met a worker from the dessert department," Erica replied, and the guy visibly tensed.

"And which of them did you talk to?" he asked, turning his face toward the window.

"He said his name was Theodore," Erica replied with a small smile.

"Don't talk to him anymore. Don't even dare!", Andre shouted almost to the whole workshop, hitting the table top.

Erica flinched at the boy's sharpness, but she didn't understand his anger.

"Why?!", the girl shouted back.

"We are not friends with workshops. We don't get along at all. And Fabien would find out, strangle him. He can't stand them, he considers them upstarts", the guy explained, "And it's better not to spoil your relationship with Fabien right now," Andre warned.

After that, Fabien himself came into the shop.

"I'll ask everyone to pay attention here now!", he began to say, patting his head.

"Monsieur Rainer is coming to see us this afternoon to check on his mother's bakery, so I respectfully ask you not to mess up", he said, and left.

"And who is this Monsieur Rainer?" asked Erica of Andre, as they were kneading the dough together.

"We have the founder of our bakery, Diana, and today her son Rainer is coming. In short, he is a spoiled, mother's son, " described Monsieur Rainer Andre.

"Should I be afraid of him?", the girl decided to ask such a question.

"He likes beautiful girls, but you, beauty, do not give in to his provocations", he wagged a finger.

Erika again had a lot of questions, but she decided not to be distracted from her work anymore and calmly concentrate on her actions. When it was time for lunch, which lasted for an hour, all the employees went to the staff dining room on the basement floor. Taking her portion, the girl looked around the entire room. Confectioners, bakers, employees of the hall, manufacturers of fillings, cleaners all of them sat in companies, as Andre said, they arranged something like a war of workshops, the main question is how do they get along in one building at all.

When she sat down at the table with her colleagues in the shop, she felt someone's eyes on her, so she often looked around her and one of these times she realized that it was Theodore all this time. When she realized it was him, she didn't ask any more questions from her colleagues. The guys vigorously discussed the plan for this month and their promotion in contrast to other workshops. Sometimes they asked Erica, but she just smiled and answered awkwardly.

It seems that everyone was friendly and this could not but please. When her phone rang, she apologized and started to leave the dining room as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, as she made her way through the crowd to the exit, the phone had already stopped ringing. She pulled out her modest push-button phone to check who was making the call. Seeing the name, the girl began to jump with happiness and as quickly as possible began to dial the number with a smile of a Cheshire cat.
