You're Drunk, Aren't You?

"Well, you're in luck!" Anna chimed in. "I've not had to work too hard in most things in life either. I would say we would be on the same level."

Ladislas rolled his eyes. "Wipe the blood, then." She ruffled her hair and went to sit on the couch. After half an hour of Anna scrubbing every speck of blood, she huffed and hopped onto her feet.

"All done?" Ladislas called.

"No thanks to you," she grumbled.

He shrugged. "I don't like getting down on my knees and doing dirty work," he stated.

"I could change that," Anna challenged.

Ladislas raised his brow. "Well, we'll have to see about that." He looked around the room. "The huge holes in the wall need to be fixed, though."

Before Anna could speak, he snapped his fingers and everything went back into order in the room. Anna's small smile dropped immediately.

"You couldn't have done that while I was scrubbing away at the floor?" she asked.
