6 Beware

"I would recommend getting home first before you do anything drastic". The AIwhat replied in its usual monotone voice. However Jason felt like he could detect so cautiousness in its words. Jason on the other hand wanted to know right now if something was going to attack him. So he asked the AI "What is out there that could attack me?" The AI seemed to pause at this question but then replied " Your first priority is to make it to wherever you call home. After you have set the proper defenses then you may worry about what may attack you. During the day you have nothing to fear". At night however the monster of legend and myth run rampart without fear of the sun's presence to reveal them. At a time werewolves defended humanity but when humanity grew they became so powerful they attacked and killed all that they did not know and understand. The werewolves retreated and so the monsters of this world were able to grow in number. They also adapted to be harder to uncover as nonhuman.Some were not able to evolve and so were killed off so you will probably not ever encounter a dragon or anything similar to that. But many such as trolls, goblins, demons and the like still persist to this day. Goblins tend to be quite adept at disguising themselves and trolls can easily masquerade as bears and other large animals. Occasionally sometimes they are spotted and are mistaken for bigfoot. Some of the larger animals fled to places that are inaccessible to humans such as the depths as the oceans. One monster that is well known but taken for a myth is the loch ness monster. These are some of the monsters that will hunt you and that you will hunt. The main thing is for you to get home and set up a den".

"Jason was completely baffled by this new information and worried about being attacked. He didn't really know how to deal with this but decided to heed the AIs advice and return home. As he drove home he kept on replaying the information. Upon reaching home he looked at his home wondering how such an ordinary two story house could be changed into a lair.

These words floated in front of his eyes glowing slightly. The AIs voice echoing slightly after saying these words once again fell silent. The minute Jason registered this strange anomaly he promptly tripped over a stick laying on the driveway. Once Jason had picked himself up and gotten up to his room with all his stuff he assessed the damage that had been done to his palms. At first his hands looked pretty badly scraped up but as he watched his hands began to heal rapidly and in a couple moments his hands had healed completely. "What does this mean?" Jason asked the AI. "How am I able to regenerate damage so quickly and what did the words mean?"

"As a werewolf you will regenerate at a rapid level far faster than a normal human. As for the words it is one of your quests to complete. Quests are designed to help you progress to higher levels of capabilities and defense. Right now the best thing to do would be to set up the perimeter of your lair. You may do this by walking to the four corners of your perimeter and speaking the ancient language of the werewolves. Remember that this barrier will only become active against monsters so humans are still free to attack you. Also even though this barrier is powerful there exist many monsters that could break through it with little difficulty due to your lower power. As you get more powerful your spells will also strengthen. The words to be recited at the four corners of the barrier are as follows."

After hearing this information Jason went out to his yard and looked around. It was getting close to dusk and the sun was starting to cast long shadows across the yard. Jason still did not completely believe that what the AI was saying was true but the downside if it was was not a pleasant prospect. He reluctantly went to the four corners of their property and said the strange sounding words. As soon as he had gone to all four corners of the property for a second he could see a slight shimmer surrounding the property that quickly faded.
