1 Chapter One

"Hey, Pikachu?"

"Pika Pi?"

"Think we should tell Goh the truth?"

Pikachu looked down from the sky to his trainer sadly shaking his head, "Pika Pi. Pika."

Satoshi laughed grimly, "Got it." Standing up he stretched staring at the stars. "It's been a while since I've cared about the feelings of someone who wasn't a Pokémon." Hearing the concerned voice of his partner Satoshi put a smile on his face, "Don't worry bud, I'll get over it."

Goh hid behind the pillar as he saw 'Ash' turn around. "But you know bud if I do slip up; I'm blaming Lugia."

Pikachu shot a look up at his trainer, "Ahhaha! What? If I do mess up it'd be Lugia's fault because he's the one who told me to get along with Goh!"

Pikachu rolled his eyes as he jumped on his perch. Satoshi smiled sadly as he pet Pikachu, "Bud I know it's been a while since we battled together all out, but next time wake me up when Ash can't handle it anymore. I know you hate this and no one's more important to me than you but I can't afford to mess up."

"Pika Pi." Pikachu rubbed his cheek against his trainers as he felt the power of Aura wash over him. Pulling back he was met with the same face but he knew it wasn't his TRUE partner that had grown through the years.

With a wide grin Ash laughed, "Pikachu isn't that great! We just won the Flute Cup, let's go celebrate with Goh!"

Before Pikachu could bring himself to give an energetic reply his trainer had stopped in his tracks and looked around confused, "Where are we by the way? I thought we were on our way to the Pokémon Center?"

Pikachu panicked as he spoke, "Pikachu, Pika Pi, Pikachu!"

Ash nodded in understanding, "I was sleep walking? I guess I was tired. That'd explain why I felt dazed during the battles. Well anyways let's go find Goh! Come on Bud!" Ash sprinted off in the direction of the Pokémon Center with a smile on his face.

Hearing the sound of footsteps growing farther Goh stepped out from behind the pillar. A dazed look on his face as he gazed at the place in which his research partner had just stood.
