2 I don't know her

"Oh John and Vincent. Welcome to B High School." As the principal greets them. "How've you guys like the school so far?" The principal looks at them with a smile on his face. Vincent looks over at John and he knows that John won't speak up. So, he broke the silence and said, "the people here are interesting. Like the one I just met before back in the hallway." The principal smiles and nods his head. "That's good to hear." He took out two papers from his folder and handed it over to them. "This is gonna be your schedule. Since you guys are seniors, you must make sure to attend every class. Don't slack off thinking that you are a senior because it could affect your graduation at the end of the year. You guys understand?" The principal looks at Vincent and especially at John.

"Yes, we will," as Vincent said and walks out with John.

The principal watches them leave and sighs. The principal Bryan Hong is John's Uncle, and Vincent's dad. But Bryan Hong separates work and his family when he's at school.

John and Vincent are both 18, and it's also their last year at high school. They both haven't gone to physical school since middle school. Because of some problems, they've been having online school.

"John and Vincent!" as the homeroom welcomes both of them. They walked up to the teacher, and stood in front of the class. John stares at the class with a cold face, while Vincent smiles and waves at the class. The girls start screaming, and the boys already fear that all the girls will fall for them now.

"You guys could take a seat at the back."

------

Lunch time arrived, and Mia was supposed to meet up with Jack for lunch. "Sophi, where are you?" as Mia texted Sophia. There was no reply. "You don't want to see my brother? Where are you right now? I'm waiting outside the cafeteria right now." Mia texted her, and scans around outside the cafeteria. Mia couldn't see if Sophia is already inside or not, since she knows how bad the service down in the cafeteria is.

Five minutes pass, and Sophia still hasn't text back Mia. As she was about to head in the cafeteria, Sophia called out her name and started running to her. "Oops sorry, passing by," as she pushes by the crowds.

"Where did you go?" as Mia asks her. "You can't believe what I just went through before. I got out of my class, and out of nowhere a whole group of girls starts running towards the class next door. And somehow they pushed me right there too, which caused me not be able to escape. Now, where's your brother?" as Sophia catches her breath and looks around Mia's side. "He's inside. All you care about is him now right?" Mia taps her head with her finger, and walks in with her.

In the crowded lunchroom, Mia could see her brother sitting with their lunches waiting for her. She could see how dark his face is already. "Sophia, he's right there. Just go first, and I'll grab something real quick." Before Sophia could say anything, Mia was nowhere to be found.

"Mia!" as Sophia calls out her name. She turns to the table where Jack is, and takes a deep breath.

"Hey Jack." Sophia waves at him and smiles.

Jack looks up shockingly, but welcomes her to sit down.

"Where's Mia?" as Jack asks her.

"She said she needs to grab something, and will come after." After saying it, Sophia suddenly feels all tense up and doesn't know what to say.

"How's your summer?" as Jack broke the awkward silence. Mia looks at him, "it was great. Me and my family went camping."

Jack nods, and the awkwardness rises again.

"How about you?" as Sophia stutters.

------------

Mia went to the ice cream machine. She knew her brother was gonna kill her for making him wait, so she went to buy his favorite ice cream. As she waits in line a group of girls crowded around the front of the machine. Mia is getting irritated as she's been waiting for so long. Her phone buzzed and saw it was a message from Jack.

"Where are you? Hurry up and come before I throw away your lunch."

Mia puts her phone in her pocket, and walks to the front of the line. In front, it's not only girls but also two guys that are surrounded. But seeing them just talking and not buying, Mia took a very deep breath and spoke up.

"Excuse me, if you guys want to talk please go somewhere else. You guys are blocking my way." Mia looks at the two guys, and all the girls stare back at Mia.

"Oh sorry," as Vincent is happily moving away, a girl steps up and looks at Mia. "Don't you see us talking?" as she looks down at Mia.

"You're blocking my way." Mia saids it again and stares at her hardly.

"You know who you're talking too?" as the girl speaks up again.

Mia stares at her like she doesn't care. "And I'm saying this last time. You're blocking my way," as Mia has no time to talk nonsense.

Vincent pulled the girl back, and said sorry to Mia again. Mia didn't say another word, she brought the ice cream and left.

"What took you so long?" as Sophia asks her. "Nothing, but just met an opinionated person. But nothing compares to what I got for you?" as she holds it out to Jack and smiles. "Don't be mad." Jack hits her head, "tomorrow you could go to school yourself," and takes the ice cream from her.

And they ate lunch peacefully.

"John. Before that girl don't you think she looks very familiar?" as Vincent asks John. Both of them sat at the library, as it is quieter than the girls outside.

"What girl?" as John scans through the magazine.

"That girl that bumped into us this morning and before at the vending machine." Vincent looks at John who doesn't seem to be listening. He grabs his magazine from him, and turn John around to face him.

"John, I'm serious."

John looks at him, "no I don't know her."

"Are you really sure? But she really does look like someone we know." Vincent gives up on asking John, and picks up the magazine that he took from John and starts reading.

But before he could read the first page, John took it from him. "Hey!" as Vincent yelled.

"SHHHH!" as the librarian looks at him.

John smirks and just continues reading his magazine.
