6 Chapter 5

I got ready and went to Anne's house that very night. It was impossible for me to have a good night's sleep after what happened.I reached her house and knocked on the door, waiting for her to open the door.

" Anne? its me, Ema" I said when suddenly the door flung open. " Ema? are you okay?" she asked as she attacked with me a hug.

"I was so worried, I couldn't calm my nerves till you reached, get in fast"she said pushing me inside as if she was scared someone would snatch me from her

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to trouble you like this"

It isn't trouble at all! also you'd keep me company so..."she said chuckling.

We cuddled on the sofa watching a movie as Anne said it would let us calm down.

It's been a week since I've been staying over at Anne's and I would be lying if I said i didn't enjoy it. We had so many girls sleepovers where edd would also join us. I was also okay as there were no disturbances from the salker after I blocked him. At least that's what I thought.

Anne and I were keeping Edd company as she was dog sitting for her allowance in the park. she kept complaining about it all day that we felt bad for her. we were laughing at Edd trying her best to keep the hyper-active dogs steady when I got a call from an unknown number.

"who is it?" Anne asked

" I dont know" i said a nd answered the call.

"hello?...hello?"

"is this Ema I am talking to?" a voice asked. somehow this very voice sounded familiar.

"yes, may I know who this is?"

"I think you know" the unknown caller said as i felt chills go down my spine.my face went pale and that alarmed Anne who was looking at my face the whole time.I removed the phone from my ear and was about to hang up when I heard th esame voice cracking, as though he was crying.

"E-Ema p-please I just want t-to talk to y-you" the voice cried. i somehow felt soem kind of attatchement to this voice.

"you have no i-idea how long I-I have waited to listen to you're sweet voice" the voice said. somehow you felt at ease when hearing to the voice like it was someone you knew.

"who is this? Please tell me, or you could come to the xxx cafe and we can talk if you mean good" I said as somehow I felt connected, like ineeded to meet this person.

"Yes i'll be waiting in five" the voice replied.

I opened the door of the cafe and went in with my heart ready to bust out of my chest. As I opened the door I heard the bell ring and a person sitting with their back facing me. I rang the number of the person to make sure it was him and saw his phone light up.

"umm... hello? are you-"

"Em?" a middle aged man asked as he jumped out of his seat turning around to see me. As soon as I saw him it felt like I met something that was missing my whole life.

"You have your mother's eyes and you look exactly like Ev" the man said.

"I'm sorry but I don't know who Ev is and I haven't seen my mother either" I told him a little confused at what he was saying.

"I'm your father Em, you're real father" he said.

"What?"
