16 Chapter 15

Chris POV

"promise me!" she said looking straight into me with her beautiful eyes...yes, I like her! I was quite hesitant when she first came into her house but can you blame me? She was a stranger to me. As I got to know her, I knew she was a very sweet girl. Tough on the inside but an emotional wreck outside.

~flashback to before they left for the park~

I saw Eva come out with Ema, comforting her. I didn't know why or what had happened but I didn't want to ask as I don't like interfering in other's business. I saw Ema sit on the couch and calm herself down as Eva went back in the room. I followed her but I don't know why. I stood by the door silently as I saw her sit on the bed with her head between her hands.

"I know you're standing there" she said with slight weeps in between.

"do you mind if I come in?" I asked.

"no.." she said and looked at me as I sat next to her.

"what do you do when you have to be there for, you're loved one but yourself can't handle all this"

"you don't have to always be there for her. You can have time for yourself also." I said and she looked at me with tears in her eyes.

"I'm sorry! I don't really cry usually" she said and wiped the tears off her face.

"it's ok to cry sometimes! It's better to let your feelings over you sometimes." I said and looked at her as she started to cry. I stood up to leave when I felt a hand around my wrist.

"don't leave please! Stay a little more" she said looking at me. My heart fluttered at what she said. Wait what? Why?

"don't mention what happened now to anyone ok?? She said. I smiled at her and ruffled her hair

"ok" I said and left the room.

~back to present~

Eva POV

My heart stopped beating at what he said… I felt my cheek burn up.

"wait what?? Oh my god! that was so cheesy… I'm cringing so much! Look at my fingers" Noah said and showed us his closed fist.

"and I thought I'd be the first to confess" he mumbled loud enough for only me to hear.

We were laughing at Noah's joke when Chris's phone started to ring. I saw the id that said 'Boss' and Noah and Chris looked at each other. They picked the phone and put it on speaker as I saw Ema's hand shivering.

"it's going to be alright!" I whispered in her ears as she held on to my hand tightly. I will not lose her again.

"hello boys!"

"yes sir!" Chris said

"I see you're enjoying yourself at the restaurant" he said as we all looked at each other in surprise and I felt the grip on my hand tighten.

"how'd you know?" Noah asked.

"of course, you're GPS on the phone! How else? I'm on my way there so-"

"We're actually with girls right now" Noah said as Chris facepalmed himself.

"ooh! Girlfriends is it? Well I'd like to meet them as well" he said and kept the phone as we looked at each other now knowing what to do.
