12 Chapter 11

Ema POV

I couldn't believe what I was being told. Why does this keep happening to me? I don't know what to do anymore, I mean what should I do. I looked up at eva with tears at the brim of my eyes. She looked at me back with sympathy.

"hey Em... are you ok?" she asked as she rubbed my back to and fro. I stayed silent for a few seconds and broke down.

"I- I can't Eva... I can't do this anymore..." I said crying while hugging her.

"shhh... it's ok, it's alright..."

"this means you've lived 16 years in danger and it wasn't me"

"yes! But I won't let it get to me"

"but... that man was ready to give us away just like that?" I screamed crying.

"its alright Em, we'll just go to Mr. Sully's house"

"isn't he our dad Eva? Shouldn't you be calling him dad? And not that creepy man dad!"

"I guess you're right" she said and smiled even though I knew she was deeply hurt inside. I know how she felt as I went through it too.

We got out of the room; Eva was alright but I still had tears in my eyes. I could feel that Eva was very strong as she didn't once break down. I never really knew her but I know she is the exact opposite of me.

As soon as we got out, we saw the two boys staring at us.

"what happened? Why are you looking at us like you saw ghosts?" Eva asked.

"h- huh? N-nothing!" Noah said and smiled but it felt like a fake smile. Something was wrong but I ignored it as nothing could be worse than what just happened.

Noah POV

I can' do this! I know I just met Ema but I can't kill these two. I need to change Chris's mind at least I can try, but not now. It definitely is not the right time. Just as I was thinking of what to do next, heard the door open and saw both the girls coming out. Ema had tears in her eyes.

"W-what happened?" I asked.

"nothing!" Eva said and smiled at us. She looked at Chris and her smile faltered a bit. Like she was trying to say she wasn't okay.

"how about we go out to clear your head... like you know get to know each other since you're gonna stay here anyway". I said and smiled trying to lighten up the mood.

"what are you doing?" Chris whispered.

"what?"

"we're supposed to finish them. Not take them to amusement parks for holidays Noah!"

"just give it some time will you! We'll do it but please, just at least give them a day" nope, I did not mean that but I couldn't argue with him, not now at least. I'll tell him later but I am not planning on letting Chris murder the innocent girls.

"girls! I hope you have dresses cus we are going to the amusement park tomorrow" I said and smiled. The girls looked at me and Ema smiled at me. Eva just looked at Chris with a what-the-heck look on her face.
