9 The School's Prince

With so much attention to her, Jenny didn't know what to do.

"Hey. What are you doing? Are you done choosing your partner?"

The teacher came back and asked. People sent Jenny a look of contempt, then everybody started minding their own business again.

Jenny looked at Mira again but Mira didnt let herself to be fooled by Jenny's pitiful look. Mira pretented to be apologetic. Upon seeing this, Jenny has no choice but to give up and look for a new partner. A flash of hatred appeared in Jenny's eyes before it disappeared, then she turned away. All of this didn't escaped Mira's eyes.

Mira sneered in her heart. But although she hates Jenny for being like this, she cant still help but feel a little disappointed. She knows the Jenny will still be Jenny, But she was hoping that it might be different this time. She was disappointed. It felt like being betrayed all over again.

She hardened her heart. 'Dont be naive Mira.' She told herself. 'Dont forget what she did in the past. And dont forget what happened to you because you're too kind.'

Since she got a second life, she vowed that she will change everything that she should And her friendship with Jenny is one of that.

"Are you okay?" Jamie asked her.

Mira nodded, embarrassed. It seems to her that she makes Jamie frequently ask her if she's okay. "Sorry about that."

Jamie waved her hand to indicate that it's nothing. "You need new friends."

She raised her eyebrows. "But I've got you as a friend right."

Jamie grinned at her in return. "Well. You're right. Tsk. You're so lucky."

"Right." Both of them laughed.

On break time.

Jamie was currently copying Mira's notes. "I really like your handwriting Mira. Its so neat and beautiful. Im jealous. "

Mira peered into Jamie's notebook. "Why would you be jealous? Your handwriting is nice too."

"Maybe, but I like yours better. Do you think I can copy it?"

Mira watched as Jamie started copying her handwriting. "Tada!"

She was surprised. Jamie's attempt to copy her handwriting seems successful. Mira stared at the notebook intensely, trying to find faults in it, but aside from minor things, she can basically spot no difference between Jamie's handwriting and her own.

She looked at Jamie, amazed. "You have now a future."

"Huh?"

Mira laughed at her. "You can now be a professional forger. Im sure you'll make a lots of money. Please dont forget me."

Jamie pulled her notebook away from Mira. "So now you can joke with me huh. Shut up. Try to copy my handwriting too. Here."

"Why?"

Jamie smiled angelicaly. "So that you can write my notes too when I cant. I'll do the same for you. Its the law of equivalent exchange mah frend."

"....." Jamie's thought was sometimes too creative.

"Hey Mira, let me copy your notes too." Kang Jun suddenly went to them and asked.

Both Mira and Jamie turned to look at him.

Kang Jun only smiled at them. "Hello transferee."

Jamie looked at Kang Jun curiously. "Who are you?"

Kang Jun's smile froze as if he couldn't believe that Jamie just asked him that.

Mira found it funny too. Kang Jun was probably really dumbfounded that someone didnt know him. He's always been famous because of his pretty face. To be honest, even Mira thinks that Kang Jun is too good-looking for his own good. If she was to describe him, Mira would only use two words. Too. Good-looking. (Wait, was it three words?)

Kang Jun's pretty face dont need any make up, with his pretty face matched with a cross earing on his right ear and with his uniform unbuttoned (his necktie is also missing), Its like looking on an angel that is on his rebellious phase.

Kang Jun's face is too good-looking that he earned the title "National Prince Charming" in Mira's past life. Looking at him now, she didnt think that it will change. She's sure that Kang Jun will still become a S-lister celebrity in the future.

"Hey Mira, could it be that you didnt tell her about me?"

"No. Why should I?" She faked nonchalance but deep inside, she was laughing.

"What?! How could you say that with a straight face? What about the ranking, did you tell her that?"

"I did." She answered.

"Then how come she didnt know me?! Im also ranked." Kang Jun's face was full of disbelief.

"Oh. I told her about the ranking. But only about the top 5. Sorry, Number Six."

Kang Jun's heart felt like it was shot by hundreds of arrows. Other people will never dare to look down on his rank. After all, the school's top ranking is so difficult to enter. Only the brightest and the most intelligent students are capable of entering the rank and only the top 50 students for each year level can enter the rankings and there are hundreds of students in each year level, with that, one can only imagine how difficult the fight for the rankings is.

Kang Jun has always been in the top ten since their first year, a feat that is admired and respected by the whole school. Only few people can look down on that feat. Unfortunately for him, Mira is one of them. Kang Jun is ranked 6th, while Mira is ranked 3rd.

"This is bullying." Kang Jun cried.
