13 Eugine Han

When Mira came back to their classroom, Sophie was waiting for her at her desk.

"Sorry about that Sophie." She apologized.

"Im the one that should apologize. I kind of shouted at you, that was rude of me."

Mira shook her head. "Nah. Its also my fault. But really, even though I wrote those letters, I never knew that it was being sent to Justin."

Mira explained to Sophie this. And even though it might give away that it was Jenny who sent them, she no longer cares.

"Oh. Mira, what happened to your face?" Jamie suddenly asked.

"O-oh this? Its nothing."

"What do you mean nothing? No matter how i look at it, it looks like a handprint."

After saying this, Jamie froze. She looked at Mira but Mira wouldn't meet her eyes. She suddenly remembered that it was Jenny who pulled Mira away earlier. Rage filled her. She only has few friends so she's very protective of them.

"That bi*ch! How dare she!" She stood up to give Jenny a piece of her mind but Mira stopped her.

Jamie was so angry and even Sophie was shocked.

"Im okay. Besides, this is the last."

That's right. Mira already got enough reason to ditch Jenny. Now, even if she falls out with Jenny, no one would question her why. Even Kang Jun would understand why she would do that.

Because Mira wanted to do nothing, Jamie felt helpless and cant do anything but give up. She slumped on her seat while staring daggers at Jenny.

Sophie gave her ice cold juice to her. "Take it, it might help to relieve the redness."

She took it and muttered a thanks.

"This is just a piece of advice. I can see that you're not bad, I kind of even like you but I think you're better off with new friends. You know, a lot of people feel bad for you because we can see how Jenny sometimes treats you. But seriously, i think you should stop hanging out with her."

Sophie patted her head before going back to her own seat. Mira sighed.

In her past life, while she was imprisoned, she read some reincarnation novels for past time. Its the only entertainment she had to distract her mind. Back then, she admired how the protagonists of the novels seem to do everything with ease upon their reincarnation or time travel. They seem to correct their life with confidence. Everything seems easy.

But right now, Mira felt lost. She just realized that reality is far from the fiction books she read before. Everything is easy, but only in theory. Just because she knows what she wanted to do doesn't mean that it would be easy to do them. She sighed again.

Just like that, days passed monotonously for Mira. Three days after the incident with Jenny, Class 3-A is currently waiting for their next teacher.

Right now, Mira was staring outside the window. Beside her, Jamie was doodling absentmindedly.

The low murmurings of her classmates and the gentle breeze of the wind seems like a lullaby for Mira, she could feel herself almost drowsing. So far, everything seems peaceful and nothing noteworthy happened yet.

She sighed and glanced at the opened planner in her desk. It shows the calendar for this month, with a certain date encircled with a red marker.

Two weeks.

She have two weeks left before she would meet him again.

Mixed feelings bubbled in her gut. Pain, reluctance, anticipation. She closed her eyes to drive those feelings away. But upon closing her eyes, she only ended up seeing his face...

The teacher came in and started talking but Mira's eyes remained closed. Half of her attention is listening while half of her remained drowning in memories.

To his eyes.. His face.

"....introduce someone.."

To his smile. His voice.

"...a new... transfer.. Introduce yourself... "

A clear voice jolted Mira out of her daydreams. The voice is deep, neither too loud nor too soft but carries a certain charm to get everyone's attention.

She opened her eyes and stared in front.

There, stood a guy. He was tall and built like a model. Pale with dark eyes and unsmiling lips that gives a vibe that he's unapproachable, he looks like an aristocrat.

Mira's heart pounded.

"Hi. Im Eugine Han. Its nice to meet you."
