1 A Second Chance

"Saber... I'm sorry" Ashton said coughing up blood as he lay there with tears in his eyes seeing his summoned servant lying there with hundreds of cuts on her body.

This was the first battle for the 4th Holy grail war, and they'd been massacred by Assassin.

Ashton had a minuscule amount of magical power, and he knew he was only lucky to be able to summon Mordred, but he needed the wish from the holy grail!

His mother was dying in a hospital, and the treatment was very expensive, enough to where they would live in debt for the rest of their lives!

The day he'd been given the command seal was the same day he'd learned about everything and decided to give it his all in this War, summoning Mordred using his only valuable possession, his mother's wedding ring that she refused to get rid of even though his father had left long ago.

This was the end result, both of them laying nearly dead on the floor, "Fuck you..." Mordred said angrily as she disappeared in light particles.

Ashton somehow managed to smile as the light was lost from his eyes indicating his death...

"Hello?" Ashton said looking out into a vast dark space and not knowing where he was, he was sure he'd been dead only a few minutes before...

"Hello, young one..." A man appeared stroking his beard as his white robes flowed around him.

"Hello... who are you?" Ashton said standing up and looking warily at the... God? Sage?... God Sage?

"That last one is correct..." The man said as he smirked and whipped out a phone, typing something that only he knew about...

"Um... ok sir... can you please tell me where I am?" Ashton ignored the statement that he was apparently a god and a sage, that didn't even make sense, it sounded like some 16 year old came up with it randomly.

"Ah... well that doesn't matter, all that matters is I'm giving you a chance to get stronger... you want that right?... for your mother"

Ashton had stopped breathing and let out his breath before looking at the man hopefully, he wasn't sure why, but he felt like he could trust him, "Y-You... can do that?"

The man smiled as he snapped his fingers and 5 things came out, one was a small bag, then a dagger, then a bow, then a small capsule-looking thing, and finally a white bandage...

"What... are these?" Ashton asked looking at the seemingly useless objects, except maybe the dagger.

"These are my sacred Artifacts..., the bag of infinity, it can hold as much as you want, as long as you can physically hold it yourself, you won't feel that the bag has anything in it, and you can just reach in and grab what you need, now the second item is the Cursed Dagger of Vadrurmuk, this dagger has a nasty poison that can't be cured unless the user wants it to go away, and the poison takes 1 month to fully kill them, making them paralyzed and in excruciating pain for a month."

Ashton nods and looks at the two items with more respect, now he was curious about the other three and the god sage didn't keep him waiting.

"This bow needs no arrows, just pull back the string and it has infinite, you could even use many at a time just with a thought of how many arrows you want to use... but the thing is... it doesn't help with aim, you'll need that yourself, Now for the Elixir of full healing, this elixir can be used every 1 hour, and if you wait for 2 hours, you could use it twice, same for however long you wait without using it, it will heal any injuries or disease even curses that have a cure can be healed as well... Now this bandage... You won't be able to use it for a while... But it's the best item here."

The god sage pauses as he stares at his most prized possession, but for plot, he'd need to give it to Ashton, all so he could write this ff and have people love him, even after writing for 3 months, he wasn't that popular, hopefully, this would change that..."(A/N:🥺)

"This Bandage is my greatest treasure... The Bandage Of God... I received it after I escaped from a god that was keeping me captive and forcing me to give powers to some white-haired kid... Anyway, that doesn't matter, this bandage isn't all that it seems, it can't be broken, no matter what, and responds to the user perfectly, its full length stretches over 12,000 light-years... it has 3 other abilities as well, one is Creation, you can create anything you have seen before, whether it be in a book or tv or in person, you can create it, but be careful, it can tire out user, sometimes even falling asleep for several days... the second ability is protection, see this mark" The God sage points to a glowing blue mark that looks like a lion head, "You can grant others protection, it will only work once before having to Re-Apply once you see this mark they can even avoid death if only once a time, the bandage was made to protect Cain so he wouldn't be killed during his time of punishment... and the third is destruction, you could literally destroy worlds... well you aren't that powerful so it wouldn't work that far… maybe a bush?... Now for why you can't use it yet... This bandage chooses its user, I can use it, with time I'm sure you'll use it as well, but if it doesn't see you as worthy you won't ever be able to activate it... it'll just be a simple white 1-foot long bandage..."

The God Sage Claps his hands and all the items go into the Bag of Infinity, which slings itself over Ashton's shoulder, at the same time in a flash of light a girl with blonde hair in a school uniform with a large sheath for a sword stepped behind her, and she looked very angry.

"M-Mordred!?" Ashton said before feeling something hard hit his cheek and flying back, he stopped in midair thanks to the God sage, who smiled at their interaction.

"Yes, I've decided to let you keep your little servant, she will go and get stronger with you, I've stored around 12,000 years of my mana in the Bandage and connected her to it, you guys will be fine, now get stronger... because you'll be going back to the holy grail war... good luck, don't waste this second chance."

With his words of war- encouragement, he snapped his fingers and they both disappeared in a flash of light, "Ok... time to type this..." The God sage said and then went to write this chapter...

"Hey, Wakeup dumbass, you have a lot to explain..." Mordred said kicking a sleeping Ashton and looking at their surroundings, which was a forest in the middle of nowhere.
