2 Not a game.

10 years Earlier.

"Okay, I'm impressed" I said, as I check my attire out in the mirror. I was worried the Military jacket would be too big for me, I'm glad my worries were unfounded, still the jeweled Giants on the back turned our better than I thought. Decked out In their Centurian Armour, the image of them crossing swords still gives me chills, I strike a pose, I put my right palm on my black curls and wink to myself in the mirror, "Ew" a tiny voice says behind me. I whirl around and see my pretty mirror staring back at me with a disgusted look on her face.

"Why do you always go outta your way to shame me? I'm supposed to be the girl in the two of us" She continued, she's not holding back today huh? I guess I understand she's just as excited as I am, after 7 long years we finally get to test it. "I'm just checking out the design little sister"

"I'm two minutes older than you! besides what kind of idiot would spend $250 on a stupid jacket?"

"it's not stupid! This is the same jacket Felix Fauzer wore on his trip back home in chapter 11 of book 4 of the Search for Xanar, in Truman's legacy!" She's irritated now, she looks like she wants to give me an earful about the value of money and all that jazz, but she shrugs it off, she takes my hand and leads me into the basement of our home.

She goes into the backroom, a few moments later she appears with an object in hand, a pair of scarlet tip scissors, Veil splitter. If I didn't have the same dream as her a 7 years ago, the same detailed dream of us looking for the items needed to craft this object, and we used said object to fulfill our dreams, the steel was easy to find, the gemstones not so much and the blood sacrifices....I'd rather not dwell, still she suggested we at least try. Alas here we here seven years later, now in our early twenties with Veil splitter in hand. I Stretch my hand out to retrieve Veil Splitter, but she smacks my hand outta the way.

"Castor Grimes Jnr" She says, "Cecelia Lilith Grimes!" I shoot back, "Castor, Cas Jnr, this isn't a toy, What we're doing isn't a game, We had that dream for a reason, we were able to craft this for a reason, I don't want all that hard work to be for nothing" "It won't!" " Then take this seriously!" "I will!" She studies me for a moment, those baby blue eyes she shares with me, reminiscent of our Mother, she's excited like me but I see a bit of doubt of there, a bit of fear, I'll reassure her, "I promise I won't screw this up" , she sighs and turns around.

I grab our backpack, full of supplies, no point in us going empty handed...

She stretches her left arm out and begins using Veil splitter to cut into the open air, the Scarlet tip of the scissors glows red for a moment before opening a hole in space, "Jesus" she muttered, stepping back, frightened by the hole for a moment,I hold her right hand and look her in the eyes, we nod to each other and step into the hole. For a moment we couldn't see or hear or smell anything, there was just emptiness, the feeling was terrifying, I wanted to scream but the sound wouldn't come out, I was about to reach my limit when we finally stepped out of the hole.

We immediately face planted on mud that appeared in front of us, My Jacket was a mess and Her blue dress was ruined too. Before we could get our bearings, a loud shriek gave us a good fright, we looked up and saw a quivering young girl, "he-" I open my mouth to speak but she darts off before I get the words out.

I curse under my breath and get up, I stumble at first, I guess I'm still disoriented from the ordeal, I arch over trying not to hurl, once my equilibrium is back I help my sister up and we both make our way into the woods ahead of us, it was then I noticed our backpack was gone, I cursed again!

The trees around us look... weird, I'm not much of a tree person or an outdoor person but I can tell right away this isn't normal, the bark looks familiar enough but the leaves are all different shades of colour not petals of flowers but actual leaves! From green to blue to red to purple, it was bizarre.

"It's like an alien world" Cece says as she plucks one of the leaves budding from a nearby tree and inspects it. Before we could further explore we hear the ruffling of bushes, followed by the appearance of 6 burly looking men.

"This bread is amazing Julie!" I exclaim after biting into the fresh loaf Julie gave me, She blushes faintly before turning away.

Not gonna lie, I thought Cece and I were finished, I'm glad my worries were unfounded, the 6 gentlemen from earlier led us into a small village, from the general vibe I got off the place, I'd place us somewhere in the UK, but I'm not so sure, the houses and tech here weren't.... modern, it was like this place was stuck in the 1700s, Molewood, the name of this village, it was something out of a picture book! a stereotypical English village, the cottages, the people, the animals ,everything, a stark contrast from the woods we just left.

Long story short, the girl from earlier, Julie, she got the village's watchmen after Cece and I appeared outta thin air, startling the poor girl.

We made our way to the village elder, after answering a few questions he deemed us not a threat and sent us on our merry, we omitted some things but kept our story straight and believeable enough, we were left our home in the hills to Search for a certain man, the elder had someone wash our clothes first and provided us with a new set of ones, they were... okay, I guess a bit itchy with patches all over but hey at least we fit in.

The Village elder did make one request from us, after we rested, we were to escort Julie and her brother Jack to the nearest military outpost from the village, why us you ask?

My genius sister of course! Somehow during the questioning she let it slip about my interests in the Military, well its fine, I wanted to check it out anyways, they're not gonna be anything like Colonel Fauzer's Battalion, but hey, it might still be interesting.

Still.... is it okay to trust a couple of strangers you just met? One of the watchmen would do better surely, well we can't refuse Anyways, I feel something bad might happen if we do.

"It seems the first one was a dud, sorry Cas..." Cece whispered to me, we're walking along a path, the Outpost is supposed to be 2 clicks from the village, we'll be there soon enough. I glance over at my sister, she keeps patting Veil splitter In her pocket, I guess it still doesn't seem real to her, it's hardly to me, I sigh and tell her "don't think too much about it, we can try again in the next one" , she looks at me with those baby blue eyes again, she doesn't say anything, but she nods her head in response.

Julie and her brother Jack, they weren't the talkative type or at least I feel they were wary of us, reasonable we did scare Julie earlier with our magic trick, still the quiet was starting to get to me, we didn't have to worry much because we finally reached the outpost.

We waiting on Julie and Jack, they went into the main office, they were delivering some fresh crumpets to the Captain of the Outpost, from the vibe I was getting, Molewood and the local soldiers stationed here, so I guess the Crumpets were some futile attempt for a peace offering, not my concern though.

I take a quick look around the place and frown deeply, "not what you Imagined, huh?" "yeah no this place sucks" the outpost, I didn't have much expectations of it but seriously, this place is a mess, the training sucks, they're just running around in circles, the equipment sucks, one good arrow through their Armour and the guards are finished and worst off all the building structure is terrible, this place wouldn't a seige, while I voice my thoughts to my sister, a loud explosion kills off our conversation. It came from the main office, I get up from my seat to investigate but in the next moment we're surrounded by soldiers from all sides.

"Arrest them! they murdered the captain!" one of them yells, A burly man decks me across the face and knocks me flat on my ass, the last thing I see before blacking out is Cecelia screaming as she's dragged away....
