1 Coming Home To You

(MAVE)

Have you ever had something one minute and lost it the next. Well, this is the story of how I met my love true love and lost him.

[July 28. The day my boyfriend, "well, ex-boyfriend," cheated on me with my little sister. I remember my heart hurting so much that I couldn't find the strength to breathe. The droplets from the sky made it hard to see where I was going and the fact that it was pitch black outside also didn't really help with the situation. The sky looked ready to burst as if saying that it would strike down anyone if I just say the words. ]

On that day, grey clouds thickly covered the inky sky as I walked towards my home with a cake and a huge grin on my face. "Today is the day we finally get to celebrate his special day together", I kept on repeating to myself in my head as I strolled down the road to get to our apartment. I had finally reached the door, getting ready to surprise him.

I was so wrong.

Turns out he already had his own birthday gift. I caught a glimpse of my boyfriend cheating on me with my sister. It felt like time had stopped, my heart had skipped a beat and my eyes widened in shock. I could remember running away, right back into the dark, I was so blinded by all of his fake love, I never knew how it felt to get your heart broken that much. And to make matters worse, when they saw me, they didn't stop. They just continued as if to say that I was unapparent. This is why I can't go back because I am afraid that if I turn around, I won't have the courage to walk out a second time. I would only end up running back into his arms and be the one who ends up acting like a complete fool.

But now we are here, the 100th day since my kidnapping by my boyfriend. And yes, it's the same cheating boyfriend I was just telling you about. You're probably wondering how that happened, so I'll start from the beginning.

#Flashback

My heart had started to heal from the recent sister-ex boyfriend dilemma. As I aimlessly walked around the park, like always, not paying any attention, I met him. The most eye-catching piece of candy I ever laid eyes on. There he was, leaning over me with his hand stretched out, as I had found myself on the ground. He looked so beautiful, his face and highlighted skin sparkled even more as the sun shone on it. I was so taken aback that I couldn't withhold the words as they escaped my mouth. "Wow, an angel!!" He froze and looked taken aback, then laughed. "Well, good to know someone recognizes my charms despite their current situation," he said with a smile on his face. I looked down immediately as my face flushed out of embarrassment. Great, way to go Mave. blabbering your mouth to a total stranger, and a hot one for that matter. "Um.. .are you planning on staying there or…...?" "No, never. Sorry...um... Thank you," I said all in one breath, quickly taking his hand. As he helped me up, he introduced himself. His name was Jace. He was staying in town with his little sister, who he adored. I remember that day so perfectly like it was yesterday. Even though we had just met, we couldn't help but feel the sudden spark of chemistry. For three whole weeks, we spent the time getting to know each other, and he understood me so much. I told him about my past relationship and he supported me. He told me how he had a girlfriend, and I could help but laugh. I mean look at him. Things were going great until he did something unexpected. We were out shopping/ hanging out when he stopped and turned to me. He seemed really nervous, and I got scared, worried about what he might say. Worried that he had gotten tired of me. Worried that he wanted to get rid of me. "I know we just met three weeks ago and all, but I feel closer to you than I have ever felt to anyone. And maybe I am the only one who feels this, but I really like you. So...um... would you do me the honor of going out with me?" I was shocked. The first thought that shook through me was whether I was ready. Am I ready for a relationship so quickly? It would be a lie to say that I wasn't happy because I was. So I figured if I was happy, what harm could be done. And just like that, I gained an extremely handsome boyfriend in the span of three weeks.

For the next two months, things between us started to become more serious. But in each fairytale, every rose has to have a thorn.

March 12, the appearance of my thorn and my disappearance. I remember being at the park near my house, waiting for Jace to pick me up for our date. While waiting, I saw him. Tried to make myself invisible, hoping not to be spotted. Unfortunately, that didn't work. He saw me and walked over. Then started going on about how he had been searching for me since the day I ran out. About how it was all my sister's fault, and how she had been the one to seduce him. He went on and on, saying we should get back together since he wasn't at fault. But I COULDN'T take him back, even if I wanted to. I told him straightly that no matter the sweet words he threw out, he had lost his chance. How I was finally happy and he had no right whatsoever to try to ruin that. This didn't sit well with him because he grabbed me and soon went crazy. Spewing words that started with "you belong with me," and "no one else can make you happy." Being the dumb person I am, I fought back and sadly lost the light to my universe. Before I knew it, I had woken up at an abandoned house. My cellphone was dead and I had no way of calling for help. So I did the first thing that came to mind, I started to panic. With panic came screaming. I remember screaming at the top of my lungs to the point of snapping. But my wish came true. I wanted someone's attention, and got it, just not from the right person. I remember how the words he uttered shattered my world completely. "No one can hear you. No one will come to help you. You're stuck with me forever and will love me just like before. So get comfortable." With that he stalked off, shutting the door to my little ray of sunlight.

#End of flashback

Did that work? NO. Did he keep me there forever? YES! He did. As I have stated before, today marks the 100th day since my kidnapping, or as some would say my monthly kidnapping anniversary. I have been locked up since then. At first, the rules on socializing were strict, but eventually, I found my way around it. As for Jace, I heard that he has been looking for me and still is. But it won't take long until he gives up, or so my he says. I still call him my ex-boyfriend to this day despite him trying to force me to call him my "fiancé." Even just the thought makes me puke. Wherever Jace is, I hope he finds me soon. But most importantly, I hope he knows I still love him.

SOMEWHERE IN ANOTHER STATE

He is spotted reading a story on his laptop with tears down his eyes. Along with those tears, a new light of hope rekindles in him. He knows now that his love is still alive and hasn't given up on him. With one breathy whisper, he says, "I still love you too."
