10 Chapter 8

(A/N Note: I bought some games, so I'll be playing them, so I'll be writing less as a consequence)

It was Sunday, and Takeru was already for Yuriko in front of his front door

"One more minute for 10 AM"

And when the clock turned to 10 AM, Yuriko came out from her home, wearing a white dress and a beige cardigan

"Ara? You're already here, Takeru-kun"

"And you're right on time, Yuriko-senpai... Or should've I said that I just arrived?"

"Then I guess should've said sorry to the lateness?"

" "... Pfft *chuckles" "

"That was a horrible joke, Takeru-kun"

"I know right"

They both knew how bad their little joke was, but they still found it oddly funny for some reason

"So let's get going on our date, Yuriko-senpai?"

"Of course! And one more thing you can just call me with '-san', Takeru-kun"

"Alright, Yuriko-san"

And they both left their apartment building in a good mood

A few minutes later

"Here's the money, you can keep the change"

A man had just left from a cabin right in front of the apartment building that Yuriko and Takeru lived, then the man went to the interphone

"Sup, sup, It's me, the brother of Tanaka Takeru from the 45, so could ye let me in?"

"Oh! Good morning, Hideo-san. I'll open the entrance for you"

"Thanks, man"

The doorman then opened the entrance for Hideo, and he entered the building and went directly to the floor where his little brother lived, then knocked on the front door

"Lil' bro, your awesome brother is here!"

But no one answered so he began to bang the door

"Oy! You brat! I know in there because I sent you a message that I was coming here and because I know you don't leave your apartment for no reason!"

And as he did that, someone else came and knocked on the neighboring door to the left

"Lil' sis? I came here to see you!... Lil' sis? Are you there?"

Hideo then noticed the person and asked him

"Did you also come to check your sibling?"

"Yup, though she probably left since I didn't message her"

"For me it was different I made sure to- !?"

"Oh! Yeah, I get that too I have ano- !?"

" "YOU!? WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE???" "

They pointed at each other, Hideo and the other guy knew each other from a young age and they both hated each other. And unknown to them, their respective siblings, Takeru and Yuriko, were on a date with each other right now

Back to Yuriko and Takeru

"You're pretty good, not gonna lie"

"Well, what can I say. I played this a lot with my siblings"

"I see, that explains why"

The two were fighting against each other in an arcade machine, and all they needed to win was to take down the other one more time

"This'll be my win, Yuriko-san"

Takeru activated his super move to finish Yuriko

"I don't think so"

But she blocked the attack

"WHA!?"

"Now, it's my turn, Takeru-kun"

And she started a combo on Takeru's character and finished him with a super move, winning the match

"Don't be sad, it's not always that I have this much fun winning against someone in this game"

"... Yeah, you defeated me with an overkill"

"Ahaha... Well, we already played most of the arcades that allow for versus or co-op, so do you want to go somewhere else or play again another game?"

"... *Puts hand on his chin* ... How about air hockey?"

"... That sounds good for me"

The two started playing air hockey, and they remained in a stalemate, with Yuriko slowly getting a clear edge against Takeru, but he was holding through sheer willpower, though he was clearly tired by now

*Twac* "And score, it looks like it's my win again"

"Argh!... Haa... Haa... Jesus, this was tiring"

"Are you okay? You sure get tired quickly"

Yuriko lightly tapped him on the back, as he recovered his breath

"This was a good start for our date, don't you think so too, Takeru-kun?"

"... Yes, even more so since both of us never went on a date before"

"Yeah, you're right. Oh! Wanna go eat somewhere since it's almost time for lunch?"

"Sure, do you have a place in mind?"

"Yes, I do"

And the two made their way to where she wanted to eat, while at the same time she attracted the gazes of boys and girls due to her beauty and handsomeness, together with her clothes that only increased her charm even more. While Takeru either passed under the radar or received glares from the boys jealous of him walking together with a beauty like Yuriko

Some minutes later

Yuriko and Takeru had entered the restaurant she was interested in, and they were taken to a table by the window by a waiter, and right now they were chatting with each other

"So, Takeru-kun, I felt that you were receiving some glares of jealousy a little while ago"

"Was I? Eh, I didn't noticed it anyway"

"Really? Because there were some intense glares directed at you"

"What can I say, I'm horrible at reading other people's emotions unless they're really obvious about it"

"So you're dense, is that what you mean?"

"What? No, I mean, it's more like I can get a joke easily, but I have more difficulty getting something ironic depending on the circumstances"

"I see..." <Hmm... Let me mess a little with Takeru-kun>

"Takeru-kun"

"Yes?"

"I love you"

Takeru turn suddenly froze on the spot and stayed like a statue for some seconds until he started to tremble and sweat, as he grabbed his stomach while his face turned blue as if he was in despair. And that was enough to worry Yuriko

"I'm sorry! This was a joke, really! I just wanted to mess with you a little after what you said"

And then he made an expression of relief right after hearing that

"Phew! Please, don't scare me like that! I didn't know what to answer because I didn't know what to do if ended up hurting you should I had made fun of it if you were being for real, or if I would end up creeping for accepting it if you were just joking!..."

"Sorry..."

Yuriko could only apologize, as Takeru rightfully told her off about what she just did to him

"And you also can't just go saying that you love someone all of a sudden, do you know what to do if someone had accepted it and kept pushing it?"

"No..."

"Of course, you don't. You better never say that lightly ever again, and only say it to the person you actually feel that to, got it?"

"Yes..."

And after telling her off, Takeru finally calmed down

"*Sigh*... Sorry, I went too overboard right now"

"No, no, I deserved it... Though I may not love you, I still like you, Takeru-kun"

She said that with a very charming smile

"... Thanks..."

His cheeks had turned slightly red at her words
