3 Chapter 2

It has been a week since school began, and nothing interesting happened in between that period of time, but today I saw something really interesting in the morning as I and Nanami-senpai changed to our indoor shoes

"Huh... They actually saw and implemented my suggestion"

"Are you referring to the school maps that were put during the weekend?"

"Yup, on the first day of school I happened to pass by in front of the student council room and saw their suggestion box, so I decided to put my suggestion in there"

<So it was him, huh> "And did you identified yourself"

"Nope, I thought they would overlook if it was the suggestion from a newcomer"

"Is that so, by the way just now haven't you indirectly said that you got lost, because the student council room is nowhere near the exit"

... She got me there, but I won't go down that easily!

"Did I ever said that I got lost?"

"... No"

"That's because I didn't, I only said that I had happened to pass in front of the place so I could have very passed during lunch break"

"I see, that makes sense" <I know you didn't pass by there during lunch break because your letter was at the top of the pile in the morning of the second day... Hmm...>

"By the way do you who the student council president is, Tanaka-kun?"

"No, why are you asking me?"

"Just for curiosity, so you didn't saw the president's speech at the opening ceremony?"

"I was sleeping when that happened"

"Is that so?..." <So he doesn't know that I'm the student council president, huh>

"Yes, see you later Tanaka-kun"

During the lunch break some weeks later

"Nanami-sama! Can you please give me a moment!"

A girl approached Yuriko in a hurry

"Hm? Of course, and you don't need to call me with '-sama', just '-san' is fine"

"I'll have to refuse, I can't be disrespectful towards our school prince!"

"Is that so?"

Yuriko felt a little troubled by the girl's statement, but she didn't show it in her voice

"Yes! Oh! And about what I want to talk with you, can you please give the girls' basketball club a hand in our game against the guys of the male basketball club after school?"

The girl pressed her hands together as she bent forward

"Of course! It is my pleasure, to help you and your club, ohime-sama"

Yuriko said so with very gallantry feel around her, making the girl blush intensely

"T, t, t, thank you very much!!! Nanami-sama!!!"

And the girl ran away after saying that

A few minutes later

"... And that's what happened earlier"

Yuriko was now sharing a table with Takeru, something both of them were doing for the past week

"I see, good luck on your basketball game after school"

"Thank you, and you really like this spot, don't you?"

"Of course, I do. It's pretty empty, there is this nice breeze and tree shade, so it's obvious that I would like this spot"

Takeru said as if he was bragging his observation skills

"What you said is certainly true"

Yuriko took a sip of the tea she brought and looked up towards the tree leaves with a small smile in her face

"... It feels really calming to have these meaningless talks with you during lunch"

"Good for you, but don't you also have these kinds of talks with your other friends?"

<So he considers me to be his friend, huh... I'm glad we both think the same of each other> "Unfortunately I don't have other friends in here, everyone else always treats me like some sort of prince or as a flower on top of a mountain. Though, I'm certainly at fault for that happening"

She had an apologetic expression with a wry smile

"Well, considering how handsome you are, and your natural school prince like attitude together by how beautiful you are with a lot of points that are of interest to guys, it's certainly your own fault that you don't have other friends..."

"... I feel both flattered and hurt, by what you said"

"But it's not a bad thing being like that since you're just being yourself, at least for me that is"

He said it with his eyes locked into their usual half-closed manner and a friendly smile

"... Yeah, thanks for your compliment, Tanaka-kun"

She answered back with her own friendly and prince-like smile

"You're welcome. Now if you excuse me, I'll be taking my leave. See ya, Nanami-senpai"

*Nods* "See you later, Tanaka-kun"

Takeru left and went inside the main school building, leaving Yuriko who was looking up while feeling happier than usual

<Because I'm just being myself, huh... Though I already knew this myself and heard it before from my family... It feels pretty good to hear it from someone else>

Afterschool

"..." <This is... Pretty awkward...>

That's what Yuriko said to herself in her mind as she made a slightly troubled face at seeing Takeru having a very displeased face at being in the gymnasium

"One of our guys couldn't come here today, so we brought this freshman with us, is that all right?"

"Yes, it's alright. Because we also brought someone who's not part of the club too"

The team leaders of each club agreed to have outsiders in their game

"And since we're going to have a game between boys and girls, how about we make a punishment for the losing team?"

"And what that punishment would be?"

"You girls will have to go on a date with us"

"... Okay, but if we win you guys will have to pay for anything we ask"

"Then we have a deal"

The two shook hands and went back to their teams

"Alright, boys! Let's make sure to give our all so that we(I) can go on a date with Nanami-sama!"

"YEAAAAAHHH!!!"

All the boys got heated up at that, aside from Takeru he was making an extremely displeased face towards the team leader for being told to work hard for something he didn't want to be part of

As for Yuriko, she was keeping her natural prince smile, to hide her slightly troubled expression

" "Now let's get started!!!" "

The two leaders shouted while their club members we're still hyped up

Half a game later

"Kuh! He's too fast"

"Man, who would've thought that he was this good"

"To keep up with Yuriko-sama, he's definitely a threat to us"

<You're pretty good, Tanaka-kun>

<*Pant pant* Thanks, I was required to be part of a sports club in my previous school, so I chose the basketball club>

<I see, that explains why you are so good at defending your side and stealing the ball>

<*Pant pant* Only at that, because I suck at the rest>

<But still impressive nonetheless>

<And here I thought that you would just stand still>

<I hate being ordered around without my permission, but I'm also too prideful and competitive to let myself lose without a fight>

<Then you better give me a good game, Tanaka-kun>

<You bet I will, Nanami-senpai>

Yuriko and Takeru were talking using their eyes, as she tried to score while Takeru kept blocking and pressing her to not allow her to score a point for her team

"Alright, everyone! Let's have a quick break"

And with the signal of the club supervisor of both clubs, the two teams left went to each side of the field to discuss their strategy for the second half of the game

(A/N Notes: Ah! that feeling of when that match is simply going downhill for you and your team because the enemy team are a bunch of motherf***ing cowardly campers, but you still refuse to rage quit and instead keep rushing and teabaging the f***ing camper you just killed)
