Chapter 5

When I returned home I wasn't quite feeling good.I was also kind of embarrassed to left Asagi kun.I was just asking myself,"Why did I do that?" When I looked around the house mom was not there.Maybe she went shopping. My little sister was in her room.When I open the door of her room,the whole room was dark.Even the curtains were all closed.Then I asked my little sister, "Akari are you sleeping?"

"Oh sis.I didn't know when you camed home."

"Forget about that.Are you feeling sick?"

"Well....I think I might have a cold."

"Cold? Let me see."

When I touched Akari's forehead, her whole body is burning up.I didn't knew what to do at that moment,because if mom was here she could have done something. Then I take a small sized towel and put the towel into the water,as the water soaked the towel,I try to release some of the water and put the towel gently at her forehead.I was feeling nervous about her and mom still hadn't come home.

"Sis can you please give me a glass of water?"

"Okay Akari chan.Just wait for a minute I am quickly getting it."

I rushed to the kitchen to get a glass of water.Then I give it to Akari.By the expression of her face I could tell that she was very thirsty.

"Thank you sis."

"No problem Akari chan.You should better get some sleep,I will be here checking after you."

"I didn't want to cause all this problems for you."

"What are you saying? This is not a problem.This is my responsibility as your elder sister to look after you.And Akari chan don't try to talk too much for now otherwise you shall feel more tired.Just sleep for now it will be better for you."

"Ok sis."

"Hmph!"

I had to sit beside her for about three hours until mom reached home.I always used to think that treating a sick person was quite hard.But when I actually take care of Akari chan today,I felt quite happy for myself. I wish I can take care of my closed ones like this forever.When mom came home she took care of everything. She told me to take my dinner first and then say to go to sleep. Mom could easily see that I was tired as hell.She didn't even tell me to go to studying. After having my dinner I went straight to my room and closed the door and then I collapsed on my bed.I was feeling so tired that I even don't have any pounce of energy to get up and change my clothes. And then I fell asleep.

In the morning I was waken up by my mother.She was amazed to see me to sleep with my school clothes on.Though she didn't asked me any questions about this.She just said,"Go wash your face and I have prepared the breakfast for you."

After getting all freshed up I went to the kitchen for breakfast.My mom was preparing my lunch box.I asked my mom about Akari.She then looked back and said to me,"You don't need to worry about that.I will take a good care of her just like how I reared you two up.Leave everything to your mother." She said those words with a smile on her face.

My mom is the most important person for me in this world.I never get to meet with my father about 12 year's now.It's hard for me to even remember his face.But I don't really care for him anymore. He divorced my mother when I was about 4 years old.He used to love another women.When I use to my ask my mother about father she would always say to me,"Your father is at someplace better.The place where he actually loves and he can feel happy about it." When she used to finish her sentence, I would realize that it was hard for her to tell me.I would also blame myself for asking this questions.

After finishing my breakfast,I packed my lunch box in my bag and said farewell to my mother and headed towards the school.When I was walking in the school road I heard that someone was calling me from behind.I first thought I was just hearing things in my head.But when I heard it for the second time I really have to look back now.Then I saw it was Asuka san who was calling me.

"Sukomi san please wait!"

Then after hearing that I waited for her.It took her thirty seconds to reach to me.

"Good morning Sukomi san."

"Good morning Asuka san,but why are you running like this in the morning?"

"When I was walking along side the road, then I saw a blonde haired girl and when I actually tried to look further in a clear vision,I noticed that it was you,Sukomi san."

"Oh.Now I understand your cause of running. Anyway we shall get going otherwise we will be late."

"Ok.Then let's go!"

When we were walking me and Asuka san were talking about many things that we like. Our conversation wouldn't end until we reached the school. When we were changing our shoes I saw Sakumi san just came by.She noticed me and sayed,"Good morning."

Then I reply her by saying, "Good morning Sakumi san."

After our greetings we go to our classroom. Hiyori san would come and greet us.Then Asuka san and Hiyori san would talk about something.I didn't want to put my ear in their personal conversation. So I sit on my chair and I was waiting for the Homeroom teacher to come and start the class. The Homeroom teacher entered the class after 5 minutes. Then he started the class after calling our names.At the second period, I was looking through the window and at outside I saw Sakagami senpai coming at the gate of the school and beside him was the vice-president of the student council. I forgot her name,but she had a pale look on her face.After seeing that I had to concentrate on my class.When the third class ended our lunch time began.Most of the students went to the cafeteria to get their lunches.I had my lunch with me,so I started to eat it.Hiyori san and Asuka san would come in front of me.Hiyori san would laugh and ask me,"Sukomi san.I gotta ask,do you have anyone that you like?"

I was shocked to hear that.Then I replied,"Yes.I love my mother and my little sister."

"No not like that.I mean someone else that you like."

"Hiyori san,you are making Sukomi san's face all red.How can she answer that when you ask her suddenly."

"Well that's true. But I was just curious like a beautiful girl like Sukomi might like someone,you know."

"Ah I also think that Sukomi san is the most beautiful girl in our class.So Hiyori san you might have a good point on that."

"Well I can't be that wrong.Right? Hahaha...."

"Well on the topic of being the most beautiful girl on the class....why not being the most beautiful girl in the school, Hiyori san."

"You and your delusions,Asuka."

"No just wait.Then what about Koyomi senpai?"

"Koyomi senpai? What does she has to do with anything?"

"No Hiyori san.Try to understand, Koyomi senpai might act a little strict but she is also beautiful. And she has beautiful blue hair and plus many boys like her."

"Yes,I agree she is beautiful and talented. But she doesn't want their attention at all."

"What do you mean,Hiyori san."

"Can't you understand for a minute,that her whole point of becoming a student council member and becoming the vice-president was to be close to Sakagami senpai."

"What!?"

"I thought you knew about it."

"I can't remember. But this is the first time I am hearing from you."

"Well I also forgot about it.It just popped up in my head outta nowhere."

For whole 5 minutes I just listened to their conversation. Then I saw that Sakumi san entered the classroom and came in front of me and said,"Sukomi san,please come outside."

Then I went outside the classroom and then before I could ask why she called me she already said to me,"Please follow me."

Then after hearing that I couldn't question her about anything. I started to follow her,we were going through the stairs. When we reached to the third floor,she stopped for a moment and then she looked back and started to go back all the way down.Being surprised, I asked her,"Sakumi san where are you going?"

She heard my question, but she didn't respond to it.And by the time I could say another word...someone said,"Are you Sukomi Igarashi?"

Then I quickly turned to my front and the girl who just called me by my name was Koyomi senpai,the student council's vice-president.Then I replied her by saying,"Yes."

"My name is Koyomi Kanesa.I am the Students Council Vice-President.The reason I called you because there is someone who wants to talk with you.So please come with me."

And I was certain at that point that I can't turn away anymore.And when I was just about to take a step,someone grabbed my hand from behind and said,"Sukomi?"

And when I heard that voice, I knew it instantly who it was.I looked back and it was Asagi kun.He didn't seemed really that happy.I thought for a moment is it because I left him all alone the other day? But it wasn't that.He then in a harsh voice asked Koyomi senpai,"Hey! Koyomi what are you upto?"

"What am I upto? Why do I even bother to answer a scum like you."

"You bitch!....."

"Asagi kun,please calm down,don't you speak like that."

"What does she has anything to do with you,Sukomi."

"Yes,she does.She called me out here.So it's not her fault."

"What's her reason then?"

Then I couldn't think of anything else to say to him.But Koyomi senpai would just give him a straight answer.

"I called Sukomi Igarashi because I have something important work for her."

"Important work? What can that be?"

"Well,Asagi kun,do you still remember the debt that you owe to the Student Council?"

And then Asagi kun became so much angry that I have never seen him like this before. But he didn't say any word to her.Then Koyomi senpai said, "I hope you can remember that very well.So please excuse us."

"Let's go Sukomi."

Then I started to follow Koyomi senpai,I didn't want to look back at Asagi kun so I was slightly ignoring him.Koyomi senpai would take me to the Student Council's room.When I entered into the room,I saw Sakagami senpai was sitting in a chair.He looked at me and said,"Please take a seat Sukomi."

Then I would sit right in front of him.He then in a clam voice said,"Sukomi kun.Who is Edin El Fiend?"
