Chapter 1

Ever since I could remember,I was chasing after a boy who was always ahead of me.I would try my best to catch upto him,but when I thought I would finally catch him,then everything would have been disappeared.I never got to know his name.

When I would just wake up in the morning,I would think of it as a dream.But why do I feel that this dream was once a reality?And why I never questioned myself about why this happened to me before?Or was I imagining a person that I should not have seen?Nevertheless there was no answers behind this questions.

My name is Sukomi Igarashi.I am 16 years old.I am new to the high school.Of course I am a first year.But I still didn't go to my school because I was sick for a whole month.Then at the first day of February I decided that I would go to the school.The day finally appeared.I was fully ready that I won't skip school today.I set my alarm at the right time.But unfortunately the alarm didn't ring in the morning.But my mom would come to my room to wake me up.

"Sukomi wake up.It's getting late otherwise you won't be able to go to the school".

When I open my eyes.The first thing that I would see is my alarm clock.And it was already 7:35 a.m.I knew I was terribly late.I hurrily get up and change into my school uniform.I would head downstairs and take my breakfast somehow.Then I would start walking for my school.It took only 15 minutes to reach to the school.I saw other student's rushing to get into the class.I changed my shoes and headed towards my classroom.I pretty much knew that my classroom was on the first floor.It was class 1-E.When I entered the classroom I saw the Homeroom Teacher finished calling the names of the student who were present there.I was surprised to see that the Homeroom Teacher showed up in the class before 5 minutes the class even began.

"Are you Sukomi Igarashi?"

"Yes.''

"Can you come to the front and introduce yourself to the class?"

"Yes."

When I walked in to the front,I saw many student's staring at me.I felt a little bit of awkward.

"My name is Sukomi Igarashi.Nice to meet you."

"Well,well that's good enough.I hope you guys will get along with her.And for your seat....uh..you can sit beside Sakumi.''

When I was walking to sit in my seat I heard some boys were saying,"Oh! She is so cute."

"I haven't seen any beautiful girl like her in the class."

"In the class? Come on.I think she is the most hottest girl in this school."

When I took my seat,Sakumi san would say to me,"Don't listen to them.They are nothing but troublemaker.And it's nice to meet you.I am Sakumi Arakawa.I am also the class representative."

"Thank you Sakumi san."

After the fourth class our lunch time would start. Well my mother packed me lunch so that I don't have to take my food from elsewhere. When I was eating I saw some girls would come to talk with me.

"Hey Sukomi san Is this your first day at the school?"

"Yes."

"Of course it's her first day at school. Didn't you heard what the teacher said, Asuka?"

"Sorry. Sorry.I think I was sleeping again in the class."

"There you go. That's Asuka for you."

"And my name is Hiyori."

"Nice to meet you Asuka san and Hiyori san."

"Say Sukomi san how come your hair is so blond and beautiful?"

"I also wanted to ask about that."

"Do you use rich products in your hair, Sukomi san?"

I would nod my head and say,"No, no it's not true .I don't use any rich products. It's just natural."

"I am jealous of you Sukomi san."

Then the class rep. would enter the class and come straight to me.

"Sukomi san I have been ordered from the teacher to show you the whole school around."

"Oh. I am coming in a minute."

"Hiyori san and Asuka san. Please excuse me."

"Hmm. Have a nice trip Sukomi san."

The trip wasn't so long that I imagined.But it would still take 20 minutes to finish.When we were walking beside the baseball court,Sakumi san would tell me about something.

"You know Sukomi san,there is an interesting fact about our school."

"What is the fact about Sakumi san?"

"Well....on the third day of the school I met an upperclassmen.She was kind and friendly to a newcomer like me.We would talk about many things.Then she suddenly popped out that there is a legend in this school.When I ask her the question what would be that legend be?Of course at the same time I thought it would be rather a ghost story or something scary.The upperclassmen then would tell me it wasn't a ghost or anything.It was a human."

"Wait....so the legend regarding the school was a human?"

"To put it simply 'Yes'. The fun fact about this human is that no student knows the name of that student."

"Didn't the student's asked the teachers?"

"Yes. They did. But the teacher would slide up that question. Sometimes I feel like they don't wanna discuss that topic or might be forced to not to say anything.That's what she told me."

"If they are being forced down then who is the person that would order the teachers for not opening their mouths?"

"Might be a very powerful person I suppose."

"So then how that student gives the exams?"

"I don't know that."

"This feels so strange right Sakumi san?"

"Yes."

Sakumi san would look back and tell me,"It's just a school legend."

We then reached our classroom and then we would finish our remaining class periods.It was the first day of the school so I was enjoying the classes.

When our classes would end,I would go to the downstairs and chage my shoes.Then I forget that I left my water bottle in a bench beside the baseball court.Then I hurrily would go to that bench where I left my water bottle.When I was walking beside the baseball court I noticed that the students were still playing baseball.I thought that they were in the school's baseball team.Then I go to that bench and pick up my water bottle.Then I would turn and start to walk for the school gate to reach home.But when I was walking aside the baseball court,then a boy would hit a shot which was a home-run but that home-run would go out of the court and not only that the home-run would come to my direction.I was scared to death.I though this is gonna be my end.

Then a boy came and pushed me out of the way.The boy and I would collapse together in the ground.Then the boy would get off me.

"I am very much sorry."

"No it's alright.Thanks for saving me."

"No.It's not a problem.I saw that ball was about to hit you,so I rushed to that spot."

Then the boys from the baseball court would come and apologised to me.Then that boy who saved me would say to them,"You idiot! Do you think apologising would solve anything.What would happen if it actually would hit her.Would you take that responsibility?Huh?"

"I am very much sorry.I won't ever hit a home-run again that would go outside the court."

Then I said to them,''I forgive you.Please don't ever do this."

"Yes!"

Then the boy who saved me would look at me in a little bit of disbelief.Maybe he was questioning himself how can I easily forgive him?The boy would say his name to me,"Ah! My name is Hedei Asagi.Can I ask you your name?"

"Sure.My name is Sukomi Igarashi."

Then we both walk on the school gate together.Then we sayed farewell to each other.

"Thanks for saving me again,Asagi kun."

"Welcome.I wish we can talk to each other again."

"Hmph."

Asagi kun's hair colour was brown.And his eye colour was black.If I ever see him I can identify him without any problem.I reached home at the evening.

"I am home."

"Welcome home."

My mother would come and ask me how was the school today.I replied,"It was normal."

"Then it's good."

"Go take a bath and come downstair to take dinner."

"'Ok."

After finishing my bath I weared my clothes and head downstair and take dinner with my family.Then I would go to my room and study for some hours.When it was 10:30 at night I would finish my study and go to the bed.When I layed down in the bed for sleep I was thinking about Asagi kun who saved me today.But the thing that I can't get rid of my head was who is'The School Legend.'
