USELESS CHOICE

Cira was still lost in train of thoughts, does everything she heard are for real? It seems inconceivable. What's wrong with the world? Only just a few days ago they met this lady who wore a black medieval dress, lost of memory and was even caring for them to prepare a meal. But now when those words were spoken to her, it was as if it's only a monolog in a script. She look at Yuki wryly.

And Yuki know what that look meant that she gave to her. And a sudden flash of light two hooded dark creatures appeared beside her. She lift her hand and the creatures took off the hoods in their heads.

"W-wh-aatt a-ar-e y-ou!" she pointed her shaking finger to the two creatures beside Yuki. Her eyes wide and her mind gone numb and blank.

"devils" Yuki said simply. If Cira can't digest what she see today it will be hard for her to carry out her plans. If she can swallow up what she sees today everything will go smoothly.

"tt-hhis c-ca-nt be." Cira's body trembled. Her legs turned wobbly and gave way making her slomp on the ground.

Yuki is not considerate. With another flick of her fingers the midday turned into darkness. She manipulated everything around her. If she want to obliterate her enemies she can easily do it. But being reborn with such powers it would be a waste if they die too fast. It should be slow and agonizing. The more they will suffer the happier and satisfied she will be.

"Yuki!!!" Cira screamed while holding her head.

"I see that you can't handle it. Your such a disappointment." Yuki said while staring at her coldly. What she showed to her was just like only a spec of dust. To her to act like this, meant that she's not fit for it. Thus she decided to erase Cira's memory and continued to move on searching for another subject. Her plans were delayed again for a bit. Maybe she was just too fast and didn't carefully think and do everything slowly. It can't be help, she couldn't wait to start giving a torment to her targets.

Cira was left shaking on the ground with tears and snot mixed all together while grasping her hairs. It looks like she had gone crazy. After Yuki vanished Cira's head became clear and she was in a daze to see herself in that kind of situation. What happened? Why I'm here? What's going on? She tried to dig in to her memories but she can't remember anything. The last thing she remembered was that she was out in her work place going home and carrying a plastic of left over foods. Cira stood up and run back to their house.

She saw her grandma weaving silently in a corner. Upon hearing her arrival the old woman looked up and a trace of concern filled her. Seeing Cira in a state of shock and a disheveled hair she ask in concern. But Cira shook her head and just ran to her and hug her dearest grandma. The fear the had welled up in her heart is so intense she felt that there's something had gone wrong. It was probably a bad day dream afterall.

***little did Yuki know that the moment she gave up on Cira as her sacrificial lamb would turn out someday to be her least expected enemy, as Yuki turned her back to Cira and her grandmother she was determined to be more careful in choosing who she would ally. Even with her powers, she can't just easily manipulate someone to sacrifice if they are unwilling, the effects would be like burning without fire but drench in water. On her way to look for another potential offering a gust of chilly wind swept past her and an armored skeleton appeared before her, kneeling on one knee.

"Lady Demoness, you are summoned to go back to underworld to assist His Highness son."

"whhaaattt? So soon? I haven't even heated up here." she complained. Delaying days of her plans feels like an eternity to her.

"it's a direct order from Young Master. To have you comeback today." the dark guard insisted.

Yuki rolled her eyes and clenched her fist hard. And look at the skeleton guard infront of her with murderous intent. The guard who was still kneeling felt the aura and just trembled. ' I'm already dead. If she kill me. Won't it be overkill? I'll be double dead' the guard said in his thoughts.

"Alright. Tell him I'll be there soon. I'll just settle a few matters here." she heave a deep breath and dismiss the skeleton guard, who had disappeared in an instant.

When night fall had started she went to a dark and abandoned place and summoned everyone in her direct authority. Even the bastard that she had beaten up showed up.

" I'll be away for awhile, while I'm here I want you to keep an eye of those people I told you to spy on." she look at the thousand dark creatures that had gathered. A series of mixed noises erupted with only one meaning "understood."

"how bout the two people?" that bastard again spoke, referring to Cira and her grandmother.

"let them be. I have no use of them. They can just suffer as how they had been from the start." she coldly said. She don't want anything to do with someone who don't know what's good for them. She was upset that her perfectly good plan was suddenly spoiled and she have to adjust again.

The young man just nodded its head in agreement. Not saying a word to provoke her more.

"I will summon you in some other days, I'll go back to the Underworld for awhile, just carry on with that old fart you catch in the restaurant. Use him as you see fit." she added with a glimmer of anger in her eyes.

"this subordinate understands." the young man said.

"you can all disperse now." she said while turning her back and looked at the shining bright moon. A vicious smile suddenly appeared on her innocent face.
