1 CHAPTER 1: Glimpse

February 12,2020, Wednesday at 5pm, as we see the beautiful sky infront of ours as a sign that the day is nearly ends by a second. As we sat on the hood of the car, whose owner is Andrei, my bestfriend. Andrei and I our cherishing the beauty of the sky, where colors orange, red, indigo, yellow are blended and as a result, a beautiful sky, a beautiful dawn.

"Niko" Andrei called me in my nickname. As I glance at him, there's a mischievous grin in his face like he plan on something that can irritate me.

"Yeah?" I responded on him as I innocently glance at him. I change my sitting position and Indian sit infront of the hood of the car. "The sky are one of the beautiful indeed creature of God" he commented as he glance the sky like a painting on the museum.

"I agree, I know that there's something on that sky, like I can see my life perfectly created and the mission of mine is to see what the breaking dawn has. What do you think?". As I look at him, I saw a that he's looking af me like I'm the creature, that I'm talking about. I saw an adoration on his face and a little love on it. Since grade school, we're friends like a childhood bestfriends. Ut's started when I, the nerd bullied so many students in our school and like a light and shining armor, he protected me on bullies. He's the one I truly adore and proud to be he's bestfriend because I know that he's a man that can truly be a perfectly defined and has a true personality and characteristics as a good person. Now, that puberty hits us, a 18 years old me and 19 years his are having a good memories that we treasure.

Andrei, are now sitting in my side is perfect. Perfectly defined jaw, chiseled nose, a charcoal pair of eyes, having a jet black hair, defined muscles and lastly the same Andrei's personality. Because of the cool wind, my curly brown hair sways like a dancing through the wind.

"What are you thinking?" Andrei stops my sentiment when he snapped his fingers on me. "Nothin, I just realized that I am a lucky woman". I smile at him like an idiot when I said that lines. His forehead creased. "Why? I don't understand you". "It's because I am with you, you're my bestfriend right? You protected me, you're kind on me, even if I'm stressing you out because I annoyed you sometimes, you're not giving up on me. I must say that thank you for being by my side, you strengthen my personality, you helped me build up my self esteem" tears slid on my cheeks. As I said that, he hugged me tightly and just like that I feels I'm protected on him.

"No, I disagree, I am a lucky man for having you. You little brat, whenever I saw you everyday and sitting right beside you,I felt that I am capable of everything. You're my air to live. I felt that I am here beside you because I have mission to do so, and that's protecting you whoever capable of hurting you. "

He hugged me tightly, again and again. As a dawn witness it by itself. After that day. Everything was fine and nothing seriously done. At the same University, we study seriously because Andrei and I wants to be a lawyer someday so work hard and study a lot.

As I'm home, I go straight to my room. As always, Andrei and I are video calling and study together. In the middle of our studying session mom called me. "Niko hurry up! Come here downstairs my love!".

"I'm coming!" as I go downatairs,I saw a man holding my mother's hand. It's not new to me since my Dad died from the car accident. We mourn for him and we must forced ourselves to moved on to we can have the future.

"My love, Niko this ia your Tito David, my man" Mom introduce me to his new boyfriend and as a response I smile at him and shake my hand. "Nice meeting you tito David" I don't know if it's just a hallucination or what but did he just smile at me iin a creepy way? After that comission and introduction, I go upstairs my phone rings for a video call and I knew who it is.

"Sorry, I'm just busy downstairs." I apologize to him and sincerely smile at him." It's okay, so what's the tea Niko,, come spill it" said Andrei and smiling like an idiot. And then I tell him about my mom's boyfriend but not the creepy feelings that I felt before.

Time past, a week actually and then my mom's boyfriend is now living in our house. It's just because we don't want to go on his house and we like to stay here in ours because of the memories of my dad. And then like a PDA teenagers, mom and tito David it is but everytime tito Davud kisses mom he glance at me. It's disgusting and cringe thing. I just don't want that kind of stares and in another dats past its continously happening. So I decided to lock me on my own room and study and video call Andrei too. When I'm hungry, I go downstairs to have my snacks and when I enter the kitchen I saw tito David cooking something.

"Hey tito, where's mom" I asked him because I don't see mom when Ii go downstairs. "You're mom is having his salon treatment thing but it'll be longer" I saw a creepy thing again and then when I go to refrigerator to have some fresh juice, I don't if uts unintentionally or something but he bumped my ass off. "I'm sorr, darling" I saw a sincerely smile on him and I said that it's okay but inside my head was the counter top is far to the refrigerator so it's intentionally!

As I go upstairs, my phone beeped and text was 'come here, in our place' As I can see outside, I saw a beautiful dawn and I go as faster I can to go on our place and we both chase the breaking dawn together.

"Niko, hurry up" I laugh because since we're busy on our study, we didn't chase the breaking dawn together. We sat on the grass and a little time, we lay on the grass while laughing and seeing a sky. "I like you, Niko" I don't know if it's my imagination or what but... "What?" just like I disn't hear anything. "As he embraced me, he look at me with som much love and adoration" I said I like you, Uhm nno, actually I love you Nikola". As he said that I felt my cheeks burned and nothing I felt but to be shy. I cover my face with my hands and he laugh at me. "I hate you" I said to him half heartedly. But then all he wanna do is to laugh at me.

"What are you talking about Andrei? Stop joking around, it's not funny"..

"You're so cute" I glared at him but He laugh at me but he smiled cutely. "I'm not joking around, I love you truly Niko" From the first I don't believe him but I saw his face and all I saw was love. So I think it's the time to say it to him too on what I feel. "I love you too" Shock are through him. No words at first but a wide eyes on me. I smile at him. "I love you too truly Andrei" after that. His lips pressed mine and nothing all I care but to cherish the time. He embraced me tightly and continue says many I love you on me. That time I am happy and inspired but when I got home nothing is on our house. My mom isn't anywhere to be found but tito David. "Hey tito where's mom?" I ask him and replied to me "your mom is on Baguio in their convention, I'm checking you only so your mom will relief when she know that you're fine" he smile at me but there's a hidden agenda always.

"thanks for checking tito, but I 'm fine. Send my regards to mom" As I go upstairs, I started my project on my one of the subjects but tito David go inside of my room. He has a creepy smile and I don' t know what to do.
