1 The Scarlet Gnoll Horde side

As a lunar eclipse rises in the sky, so do the screams of the desperate and the mad! Through painful wails the earth shacks, through painful wails the sky burns, as the dead quiver in their blistering bones, A silencing cry brings a chaotic peace onto the sky.

Day 1

As the thunder rages, while lightning pours, as the dead wonder the tainted scars, while wet and soaked the mages chant in ominous songs… as arcane particles Sparke in and out of existence, as lost and captured souls wail in sorry tune!

[AAAHHH!] screamed the creature

[Sir! She won't make it! And at this rate the child won't either! We have to stop the experiment!] said random blood elf mage.

[No! continue as planned! We have others to replace her, after all what is the life of a gnoll much less, that of a gnoll child!] replied Julia Sunstriker as she stared arrogantly at the gnoll, as she was going into labor.

[AAHH!] screamed the gnoll through her bounds! For she was chained into a tiny cage, with strange green crystals emitting light through her tender flesh, while elf mages used their twisted magics on her. Through her painful screams she watched… through her dripping blooded she waited… Through her contracting muscles she roared… For she held such ferociousness in her eyes that even the hard, non-caring mages about her, felt fear when they locked eyes with her.

However, no matter how ferocious she was, to Julia she was no more than a means to an end, an experiment to see to its climax! As Julia stared into the eyes of a beast, she felt nothing, no sorrow, no empathy, no mercy, no kindness, no love… all she felt was anticipation! For if this gnoll could give birth to a mana rich gnoll, then this experiment would be considered a success. For her people feed on blood magic! They were hoping to see if they could turn gnolls into "fat live stocks" for their growing need to feed.

[ lady Julia, if this succeeds then maybe our children will have an easier time surviving. It's a good thing that of all the races of Azeroth that the gnoll are looked upon as nothing but pest or beast. Otherwise… well I don't need to say more…] said an assistant mage

[ Your right… sigh, ever since that "prince" ran through our beloved city! We no longer have a way to sustain our need for magic… even now our once rich mana serpents are limited… while our stocks of mana crystal are diminishing day by day… And things are just getting worse with the trolls knocking at us at any opportunity they can get! Our population is already low as it stands! Many of our people have already fallen to become nothing more than urchins… this has to work…] replied Julia with an exhausted expression.

[AAAH!] continued the gnoll

[ Lady! I don't think she can handle much more!] said random elf mage

[Nonsense! Use her very life essence… hell! Feed her child, her soul if you have to! Just get me that child!] yelled Julia angrily.

[My lady! Her soul is resisting our efforts...] said random elf

[ Sigh, move aside, I will do it…] replied Julia

[ But… my lady… you can't… you've already used up so much mana as it is, if you continue you might not be able to fight off the mana addiction! As you said, we have other experimental subjects… you don't need to step in yourself!] replied a loyal mage

[No! Though we do have others, we must give our all to each experiment! We don't have the resources to keep failing time and time again! Besides… I have a special feeling about this one! After all, isn't she the chief shaman of the gnoll camp we slaughtered back in Ghostlands? Her mana talents are already well above the others; therefore, she has the highest chance to give us what we want.] said Julia with much vigor

As soon as she finished saying her piece Julia stood in front of the cage gnoll who was receiving a mass amount of magic form crystal, while she sat in a pool of demon blood coated ritual.

As Julia looks around to see her fellow mages channeling their mana into the gnoll womb. She then pulls out two items, one is the still beating heart! Huge was its size for it came from a pit lord! And while it pulsed with its green demon blood it would wet the ground floor leaving behind scourge marks.

The heart is so rich in mana all the mages around had thoughts to snatch… to consume it for themselves… Including Julia herself… but she knew better for this was to be used for her people, for what good is a heart that can only be used once, to a new living creature that they can extract for a lifetime.

The other item in her hand was a white shiny crystal, but it was no ordinary crystal, for in its fragile shell it contained the dying embers of the sun well. A treasure she kept well-hidden until now, for when its light shone upon the world once more the mages around her looked at her with disbelief and anger.

For, was their leader really about to use something so precious…so sacred to their people on one of low birth… and that of a gnoll no less! However, Julia knowing what they were thinking did not show a hint of care, for then she said…

[Though I know you are mad… but this is for our children's futures… a dying future if we do nothing! If we don't take risks! If we don't make sacrifices! Then what good are we! Are we no better than Arthas who threw away his people's futures! What's the point in holding onto traditions if we're all that left! Can't you see it….] she paused for a moment as she stared into the crystal, then continued,

[has our mana addiction really made us that selfish… that we forgot Rommath teachings… the hope he brought us, the hope our prince brought us… I know that the second some of you saw this… that there might be hoped to restore the sun well with it…

do you truly think I didn't think of that! That was my very first thought… but then I heard it… it was but a faint whisper… even now I can still remember the voice clearly… such a sweet voice… it told me that if I want a secured future for our children that this was the only way!

Though some of you will call me crazy for this, I DO NOT CARE! I do this even knowingly that many of you who I call friends today will soon rise against me… I DO NOT CARE! FOR I WILL NOT WILLINGLY, TOSS OUR CHILDREN FUTURE AWAY!] she yelled as she smashed the crystal into the demon heart and chanted her spell, with a big burst of light, the ball of light zipped into the gnoll mother womb!

Causing her to yell out bloody tears in vein popping agony! Through painful wails she gave birth, but alas, the child came into the world lifeless.

Seeing their experiment fail the blood elves grew angry, but while the blood elves were seconds away from revolting against their leader, The mother gnoll who reeked with anger and grief looked onto her child with great sadness.

For any Shaman knew how precious life was… at this moment her anger at the elves subsided, her feeling of abandonment from the spirits was gone… she only felt great pain…but not physical pain but pain of the heart!

She knew what she needed to do in order to save her child's life… it was to give it the only thing she had left… with teary eyes she made a mother sacrifice! With the last of her strength, she chanted one last spell, for while her baby bathed in mother blood, the breath of life entered him!

With a wailing cry the earth stood still, while the clouds made way for the eclipsing sunlight to shine onto the child. While hearing her child's bellowing cries the light in the mother's gnoll eyes faded.
