4 Walking in rain

Noticing that the girl was again busy in her own thought's, Wu Qiqiang shook his head mildly recollecting how he met her, "I just came back to China last night. The house was not cleaned, thus I had to check-in in the hotel. Who know's while I was driving a stupid girl was walking in the rain while being all drenched. On top of that the girl seemed to be so focused on walking, that she came and stood up in front of my car almost getting into the accident."

Meifeng was not a fool to not understand what Wu Qiqiang was trying to say. Lowering her head she quietly heard what he spoke without answering. Last night, she was completely devastated, she actually had the idea of giving up on her life.

In the evening, she got a anonymous video of her fiancee and another girl entering a hotel. Unknown to herself, she went to actually see what was going on. When she confronted the other girl she was utterly humiliated, it was to the point that even her fiancee did not stand up for her. Instead that son of a b**** pushed her out of the room while asking her to not disturb him.

Only if things would have ended there, as soon as she came at the exit of the hotel, she was bombarded by the reporters. They were as said, ruthless people who cared only about their story. In the spur of a moment, Meifeng gave them their story which probably was the headline for today's paper. She broke off her engagement with her fiancee on the pretext of cheating.

She was not at all worried about breaking up the engagement, on the point, she never loved that man. It was just because it was decided by the elders of the family she tried to keep it intact. Meifeng was mainly worried about, her cousin sister, who was supposed to marry the younger son of her Fiancee. Another thing that scared her was the health of her grandfather and the scoldings she would be receiving after going back home. Her uncle and aunt had already considered her as an eyesore, after this... She was completely unsure about her life.

She was in no mood to go back home last night making her walk on the road aimlessly. When she started walking, the sky was clear. Meifeng did not remember when it started raining. She only remember's that, after a long thought, she eventually decided to give up on this life. She saw a bright light coming in full speed. It was at that moment that Meifeng's legs moved and within no time she was in front of the car. After that she just woke up in the morning. She had no collection of what had happened throughout the night. According to what Wu Qiqiang spoke she realized that the car she choose was his.

Taking a deep breath Meifeng suppressed the sad feelings in her heart while she dried up the tear's in her eyes as well. Slowly sliding under the duvet, Meifeng revealed only her eyes and asked the most important question which was haunting her since she opened her eyes, "Third brother Wu, did we...I mean...Last night..."

Meifeng tried her best to frame the question in a way that, it would be less awkward but was unable to. It was much more shameful to ask something like this to someone who she had known as compared to someone she had not known.
