"No freaking way .... you both are joking right ??" lia stared at both the faces one was teary and another looked like she needed water otherwise she might faint.

" If we were joking then why I am here at night 10 pm when this is the time for me to sleep huh?? why I would have burned my extra calories just to tell you this news?? " Rita questioned in her 'duh' tone.

"…"

" Quick tell me the details!!" lia's mom jumped as if a new source of youth energy just came inside her making her jumpy like a teen girl .

Rita whipped out her phone and showed her the list where only 12 children were selected from all over the world for full scholarship

And one of them was Lia.

" I won't go " the voice boomed .

Lia heard shattering voice again ,She was confused , what the hell broke now??

But little did she know, that she heard the shattering of mind and heart of both the females standing in front of her. Who were looking at her wide eyed as if she just said that she was an alien.

"What ? am serious! no the hell way am leaving mom to take care of all those bills and those pestering goons NO !! I am not going to that school" one thing lia was known for was ....

Being stubborn.

The two wide eyed females opened there mouths at the same time.

"no the hell way you are saying that ! you dumbo! do you want to be the first girl to reject the offer this school gave you ?? many people would die just to be in your place." Rita yelled.

"lia think like this - if you go their, I will be free from paying your school fees plus I will only have feed myself! and if I won't be able to pay your fees then I can easily pay the rent ." her mother exclaimed.

"girl you will get job offers lined up in front of you as soon as you are out from the school all the reputed companies hire students even the lowest grader gets a job with great salary"

"Please lia just go there see if you don't like staying there come back to meet me every weekend"

"Lia this single decision will change your life all, your stress and headache will just vanish "

"lia don't you dare care about me I swear I will live happily after you are gone "

lia couldn't understand that whether her friend and mother were persuading her or were trying to get rid of her

" Wait now can you both stop for a moment"

they both instantly quietened

lia was forced to give the exam because of her mother. The day her mother she saw the notice of the scholarship exam , next second she was found lining up to fill the form on behalf of lia .

lia was an extraordinary student with high level of knowledge especially with languages , while students struggle with English she flied with 6 languages and knew how to switch the language instantly.

" Mom tell me how can you manage the home and Rita tell me how can you survive without me?"

"oh you don't need to care about that we will be perfectly fine without you " they both beamed

"…...." lia couldn't speak. They were definitely plotting against her !!

_____________ 6 days later______________

"okay so clothes - check! , all the stationary - check , toiletries - check ....." and the rambling went on . Lia just had woken up and to her shock she found her mother and Rita and Rita's mother running around the house making it a complete chaos of her small yet clean home .

"oh lia is here !" Rita squealed and dragged her towards her suitcase "we packed every thing even though we can't buy you a new suitcase but we tried hard to make it presentable

lia looked down at the suitcase sitting next to her though it was broken and scratches were visible yet they made it look best . her eyes welled up with tears . She hugged all the 3 and thanked them all for their hard work.

" Now ..." all the 3 females looked down at her "lets make this girl presentable!!" squealing with joy and clapping they towered lia .

'So much for being selected for a scholarship' she thought.

(3 hrs later)

while the women's fought on the type of dress she should wear or the make up she should have 3 hrs passed like seconds meanwhile Rita came running to inform about the arrival of the car that will take her to Kingston . The mood of the place instantly turned in sorrow while her mother was brawling while holding lia , lia being lia who wasn't much into sorrow drama, tried to escape the clutches of her mother "uh mom car is here weren't you the one forcing me to go to that school, have you changed your mind?" lia asked hopefully . Her mother quickly detached herself from her and gave her back a loud slap on her back . "ha ha why would I say no? now go ..... we should not waste time " .

All the four went down stairs ..... some more tears were shed , some more grunts were made but at last Lia managed to sit in the luxury car which made her uncomfortable and shocked .

'So this is the car rich people travel through ' many people around, who were busy with there lives came to a halt after seeing such exquisite car . Her own mother was jumping up with excitement on seeing the car that she started touching its body .

This certain action made the driver angry but maintaining the calm atmosphere he quickly drove out of the infamous locality.

Pushing herself backwards lia stared out side the window thinking how to escape this hell hole .
