CH 22 #The Queen

"Ladies and Gentlemen !!! The results have been tallied and we are Ready to tell the results !!!" The host said and the students started hooting and clapping.

Lia and Arran came out of the bathroom . Arran had lot of make up supplies in her hand . While Lia's mind was lost somewhere .

"Okay Now tell me why you cried??" Arran stood in front of lia and folded her arms.

Lia felt like she was caught stealing cookie from the jar.

"I-I didn't cry....." Lia suddenly got interested in her shoes .

"Oh really ...." Arran huffed "Then care to explain me, that why did the eye liner and mascara came off??" Arran questioned .

"Ummm...it was because of...heat??" lia questioned herself.

"Are you answering or asking??" Arran questioned.

"Look I don't wanna talk soo can we just go ? They are about to declare the queen and the king." Lia stared walking away .

"Fine...but let me just put these stuff somewhere!!" Arran rushed and threw her make up products in a corner.

The crowd gathered in the ball hall . All the jury members came and took their seats .

They had no expression on their faces . The ex queen spotted lia and gave her a wink before turning away , Arran's mother gave a stern look towards both lia and Arran and Malia just glanced towards lia .

The hall was pretty quite , everyone was holding their breath . A girl from the crowd sneezed and she was rewarded with deadly glares from the rest.

Lia's mind was chanting only one thing 'Am I the queen ? will I get the crown?' . Her stomach was aching due to curiosity and suspense.

Lia was still not over from the fact that mike left his partner for another girl. She was still not over the fact that Aaxin and her ex boyfriend took admission in this school . She was still not over the fact that Jared forced upon her.

She was bullied on every step.

She wanted to end this nightmare .

"So the panel ended up with 3 girls who qualified for the crown ." The hall cheered .

"As soon as the names comes up I would request the girls to come up." The host opened the letter and started reading the names.

"Miss Ling Lin From the Lin family ." The hall erupted in cheers.

"Miss Aaxin Ming the adopted daughter from the Lu family" Every boy started yelling and clapping . Girls turned red from envy and jealous . Even Theo yelled "Go Aaxin!!" . He was awarded with a jab from Arran who said "Shut up Theo !! are you clapping for her performance or for her body ??"

Theo smirked "Off course ....for her body!!"

"Last but not the least !! " The host trailed "This girl impressed two of our panel today...and the name is ....Lia Xi!!" the host cheered . But no one from the crowd cheered and supported except Arran and Theo .

Lia bit back her embarrassment and walked up towards the platform , Lia tried to smile but she couldn't . One thought that swarmed around her mind was 'Am I so unworthy ??' she turned towards the Ex queen who waved at her .

Arran's mother stood up " Honestly I didn't liked any one of you .....but I had to select the so called queen .....Thus here you are ..." she trailed .

Malia Long stood up and took the reigns "I would like to brief you girls about the duties if you win the crown . First - You will be the spokes person for our school in every Event .

Second - you will sign up with many brands who are collaborated with us .

Third - You will receive a monthly payment or you can also term it as salary " Malia laughed.

"You will also sign a contract with Skp brand " Her last statement sent shock waves through students even the professors . Because Skp brand is the most prestigious make up brand in the whole world . Even the rich heiresses and actresses have to line up for the new product. And if someone becomes a Brand ambassador of Skp ,that instantly gives her the access in the most elite society .

Malia turned towards the girls " I really loved talking with all three of you but the title is one and girls are three ....." Malia trailed , creation suspense in the hall.

The host yelled "So the winner of the crown for the year 2019 iss....."

Malia looked inside the elegant envelope .

"Aaxin ming ."

The hall erupted , Some clapped , some hooted ,some glared .

Jared stood among the crowd and clapped with no expression . He kept staring Lia .

Lia on the other hand stood their emotionless as she witnessed the elegant crown landing on Aaxin's head .

Crown was centuries old ,studded with precious diamonds and gem stones .

Ling Lin's mind was not even present in the event . Her mind was replying the time when she kissed Mike and how he whispered sweet word's in her ear .

Everyone was waiting impatiently , when will ling Lin snap and will create ruckus .

But to everyone's surprise she said nothing . She quietly exited the stage with lia and walked back towards her room .

Today was something different for ling Lin .

She felt her heart flutter whenever she thinks about Mike .

"Mike long ... you are mine . Whatever it takes. I will be with you." She took an oath while she walked back towards her room .

Meanwhile Lia was taken a back when Arran crushed her with her bear hug .

"I can't believe this!!! that stupid crowd went to Aaxin !!?? is my mom blind or something ???." Arran huffed .

"It was the whole panel discussion if one jury is not satisfied with the girl even if rest accepts her ....She won't be made the queen ." Theo said while sipping champagne .

"So what!!?? I think that this crown thing is so hyped!! As of this crown is bigger than miss universe!!" Arran huffed and grabbed Theo's champagne and drank the whole in one gulp .

"Hey this was mine !!! " Theo yelled .

"It's mine now!" Arran slurred . The effect of alcohol started taking over her .

"It's better to drag her to her room before she starts creating a mess." Theo said while he took his glass from Arran .

"Can you take her to her room ??" Theo asked .

"Sur-" Lia was interrupted by a person she never wanted to see .

"Hey Lia!! can I talk with you for a second??" A sweet voice poked her.

"Okay ... I think I should take her back ... give me her keys " Theo asked while glancing towards the girls.

"Here " Lia threw the keys on Theo's face.

While she glared at the girl in front of her .

When theo left with babbling arran.

Lia glared "bark!!"

Aaxin laughed and walked closer towards her "what happened to the naive Lilith??" she asked .

"Honestly I was surprised when you were in the top three !! " She expressed her shocked emotion.

Lia stood and said nothing .

"I vowed to take away every thing you had bitch !!! this is the first step that I took ! I will make you suffer for every humiliation I suffered !! just wait and watch!" with this she backed away and beamed .

"You will stay for my speech right ?" Aaxin higher-ed her pitch so that others could listen .

Aaxin was once again swarmed with people congratulating her .

And lia was left one again alone .

She couldn't say anything because for the first time she felt defeated .

She turned back and walked away .

For once , she didn't care about what other people will say.

She felt lost .

She felt defeated .

She walked away .
