The Dragon King

"What did she do today?"

"Reporting to Sire." A young man with glasses straightened his back and took out a tablet. "According to Jun Feihong, the Young Miss had gone to university this morning and was picked on by a group of girls led by Huang Ziling. A self-driving car then crashed into the spot Young Miss was priorly standing--"

The young man hadn't even finished his words when he suddenly felt the temperature in the room dropped by a few degrees. Bullets of sweat rolled down his back and forehead, but he tried to keep his calm demeanor and continued his report. "There were no casualties. Not a strand of Young Miss' hair was hurt. Jun Feihong is currently investigating this matter."

Only after he mentioned that Bai Ruoxi was unscathed that the room finally became breathable. The young man heaved a sigh of relief and wiped his forehead.

"Good. You're excused."

"Thank you, Sire."

Jun Fengmian was about to turn around and leave when he heard the man behind his desk spoke again. His voice cold and void of emotion. "Wipeout everyone that tried to mess with her."

"Understood, Sire."

After leaving the room, Jun Fengmian silently shed his tears. He was supposed to take half the day off today, but after being ordered like that, how could he have the guts to pass the job onto someone else? He could only vent his grief onto those unfortunate people now. Boohoohoo...

Meanwhile, inside the room, the grim yet devastatingly handsome man was leaning on his chair with a smug expression, making him look devilishly charming. He had neatly trimmed thick eyebrow, long beautiful lashes, and soft shiny black hair. His perfectly formed lips and pointed nose, strong jaw and eyes sharper than knives; all these features made him look godly. He was exactly the epitome of perfection that brought both fear and arousal.

Nobody would ever think that this man, Jun Yi Han was actually the heir to one of the four clans that ruled over the underworld, black market, and dark organizations available throughout the world. He was only twenty-five, yet the mere mention of his name was enough to subdue his enemies. Though there were always a few some that didn't seem to understand what fear was. Jun Yi Han was never merciful, even towards the people of his own clan.

The four clans consisted of Azure Dragon, Vermillion Bird, White Tiger, and Black Turtle. There was no rank between them, but it wasn't a secret that House of The Azure Dragon had always been stronger than the other three. And within the years since Jun Yi Han had taken over, the strength of the Dragons became even invulnerable.

Those people who tried to poison him before must have not expected that Jun Yi Han could be so stubborn and wouldn't even yield to death. Although his heart had indeed stopped, he came back to life after what it seemed to be a long dream.

In his dream, he saw a girl he'd never seen before. A girl whose beauty could topple cities and overthrow countries. She had a melodically beautiful voice and jade-like skin, sparkling brown eyes, and alluring lips. A glimpse of her in his dream had managed to drive him crazy and stupid at the same times.

Jun Yi Han was really excited for the day he could finally meet her and rightfully claim her as his. That was why he'd been working on expanding the clan's connection and strength. He had to have the power rightfully of a King so that he could protect Bai Ruoxi, his Queen.

He also knew that Bai Ruoxi was still currently mourning Gu Yin, her lover who died in a plane crash. Strangely, Jun Yi Han had also dreamt about him. In his dream, he saw a blurry figure on a screen. The figure had acted hostile towards Gu Yin and spoke of immoral insults.

He couldn't see pass through the blurry barrier nor heard the exact words. But Jun Yi Han had suspicions that Gu Yin's death wasn't an accident. He tried to investigate this matter as well back then, but he didn't find anything. All in all, it was still a dream. Jun Yi Han couldn't be bothered to investigate further.

Later that night, Jun Yi Han had just wanted to lay on his bed for a good night rest when a knock was heard from his bedroom door. He permitted whoever was outside to come in as he went to sit on the sofa. An alluring scent of roses immediately invaded his nostrils while the footsteps came near.

Jun Yi Han raised his head to find a beautiful figure of a woman, wearing only a thin sleeping robe. Her lips formed a seductive smile. Jun Yi Han, of course, didn't miss the dangerous glint of lust in her eyes.

Standing before him was Jun Feihong, his distant cousin. She was the one Jun Yi Han had opted to watch over Bai Ruoxi. She should be fully aware of his feeling towards Bai Ruoxi and his obvious disinterest towards everybody else. But here she was, shamelessly trying to seduce him.

After a few seconds of silence, Jun Yi Han frowned at her. "If you're not going to report anything, get out."

"R-reporting to Sire." She answered nervously while a tinge of pink shade developed on her cheeks. "May I sit, Sire?"

Jun Yi Han's frown deepened. "No."

Jun Feihong's heart winced in pain to his immediate rejection, but she didn't let it show on her face. She then started to read her investigation report of today's incident that occurred to Bai Ruoxi.

Just the mere mention of that name caused her to burn in hatred and jealousy. Jun Feihong had always been in love with her distant cousin ever since they were young. He used to be kind and treated her nicely. But after the day he was 'revived', he became cold towards everyone. Even more peculiar was that he started to become obsessed with Bai Ruoxi, a girl he'd only seen in his dreams.

Jun Yihan didn't miss the burning hatred she showed through her eyes. Although he disliked Jun Feihong, she was one of the few skilled women in the clan. Jun Yi Han also didn't want to assign another man to Bai Ruoxi, even though he knew they wouldn't dare do anything, it still didn't sit right with him. That's why he could only settle with Jun Feihong.

She hadn't done anything that could particularly harm Bai Ruoxi either. But if she ever did...

Jun Feihong felt a shiver down her spine as the room's temperature suddenly dropped a few degrees lower. She raised her head to look at Jun Yi Han and immediately paled.

"Know your place, Jun Feihong," he warned. His gaze was piercingly cold. "If you were to ever harm much as a single strand of hair on Bai Ruoxi, I will make sure to clip off your wings and turn you into a dying goose."

There was nothing he couldn't do. For he was the Dragon King.
