The Best Wedding Present

At 2am, while in the arms of her new husband Lili was startled awake by a sharp gnawing pain in her lower back. The pain lasted for 2 minutes then subsided. Thinking it was nothing more than back pain related to how she was sleeping Lili decided to turn over to a more comfortable position. However 15 minutes later the pain returned.

"Ah!"

The sound of his new bride crying out instantly woke up the still sleeping Jin.

"Lili? What happened?"

"My lower back hurts." Lili said trying to massage the pain away.

Jin took over for her and started to massage her lower back. He knew carrying twins was much more stressful than a carrying a single child, especially for a first time pregnancy.

When the pain returned again after 10 minutes, a thought finally occurred to the couple

'A contraction!"

Jin the reached across to the bedside table, grabbed his phone and called his assistant. He picked up on the third ring.

"Notify the hospital, Lili is going into labor." Jin said as soon as the assistant answered

"Jin hold on! We don't know if it's actual labor it- ohhh!" before she could finish her sentence the sharp pain returned.

That was enough evidence for Jin, she was definitely going into labor. Jin immediately got out of bed to get Lili's hospital bag and ran out the room through the front door where his driver was waiting. When the driver opened the door Jin got inside with the bag and anxiously waited for the driver to start driving.

After 2 minutes of not moving Jin angrily shouted

"Why the hell aren't you driving?!!" the driver sighed inwardly the calmly said to his employer

"Sir, I think you're forgetting something important." Jin looked to his side and noticed that in his excitement he did indeed forget something. His pregnant wife.

He sprang out of the car and ran back into the room to see Lili sitting at the edge of the bed, glaring daggers at him

"Forget something Jin dear?" She said in a very irritated and sarcastic tone.

" My love I am so sorry" He said as he assited her off the bed and into the car.

Once the person who was actually in labor got into the car, they rushed to the hospital. After checking in Lili was immediately wheeled to the VIP ward of the hospital. At this point Lili's contractions where every 7 minutes and were getting more intense by the second.

"Ugh! It hurts! IT HURTS!" Lili screamed. Jin was attempting to massage her back again but Lili slapped his hand away

"You're never allowed to touch me again Jin Wu!" A back run was how she ended up here in the first place.

2 hours later and Lili's contractions were every minute and she was 10 cm dilated. These babies were ready to come out

"OH MY GOD! I NEVER WANT TO HAVE ANOTHER CHILD EVER!" Lili screamed as she attempted to push not one but two small humans out of her body.

Jin had been kicked out of the room. Lili wasn't exactly happy to have him around, as he was the direct cause of her current suffering.

He stood outside the room pacing back and forth, every 2 minutes he would look at the clock.

"Jin. Staring at the clock won't make time move faster, and it certainly wont make the babies come faster."

Jin turned around to see Suzie and Li walking towards him.

Li placed a hand on reassuring hand on Jin's shoulder.

"It'll all be okay." Li said giving him a smile.

Soon after hearing those words, Jin heard something else.

Crying babies.

Jin looked towards the door and saw the doctor coming out, removing his mask to reveal a wide smile.

"Congratulations President Wu, you now have two beautiful daughters."

Upon hearing those words Jin rushed into the room, to see him wife, completely exasperated and covered in sweat. Panting heavily, she turned her head towards Jin. She put out her hand and without wasting a second Jin went towards her.

He finally looked over and saw his daughters. His beautiful little angels.

"Lili, this is the best wedding gift I could've asked for. Thank you." Jin said raining kisses on his exhausted wife's face. This was the happiest day of his life.

Lili looked over at her daughters. She felt unbelievably happy at the moment.

The second she saw her daughters faces she knew she would do anything for their happiness. She would never allow them to grow up in the restrictive environment she grew up in. She decided she would never allow them to have such a miserable life
