3 Chapter 3

Sigh! I stop briefly in front of the Milordorv Corporation, it feels like the bold letters in their classic font right above the revolving glass reception door are mocking me, taunting me to back out, just like the rude attitude of its owner.

Ugh whatever, just think about the money girl! I grab my foundation compact to check my face.

Good everything is in tact, I apply an extra layer of mascara to really amp up the volume of my lashes, and it also adds some contrast to the glacial colour of my eyes. I make sure all my hair is tame, since I've got Amazonian dark blonde hair that likes to be unruly and make me look nuts.

I'm relieved to find that the copious amounts of hair product I have put in my hair has done its job and I'm left with my long mane in a sleek low bun. Which brings my facial features forward, I've been told I have quite statuesque features, which roughly translates to fine lips, with a sharp bow, high cheek bones and a contradicting curvy body to match.

I look neat, sharp and polished – ready for action. I feel pretty confident if I do say so myself.

I take a deep breath to steel my nerves and begin to move forward to the reception area.

The first thing I notice is the décor of the building, it's very austere. To be expected of Russians they've always got to show off their money in one way or another, and what better way then marble throughout the damn building, and columns that support the building. Such an inappropriate use of expenditure if you ask me, and it pains me to admit it but it does look good.

I see a blonde bombshell manning the front and assume she is the receptionist in charge of the foyer, and make my way over to her and patiently wait for her to acknowledge me.

I kid you not I have been standing in front of this woman for 10 minutes straight and she hasn't looked up at me not once. What's this bitch's problem?

Trust! Why does it always have to be the stereotypical gym junkie, bleached chicks that have to be absolute dogs.

I stare her down taping my foot on the foyer trying to get her attention, little do you know that makes no dent on her awareness radar, which is zero might I add. I clear my throat, 'Excuse me, I have an appointment with Mr. Milordov in 15 minutes, if you could just point the way I'll be out of your hair and on my way'. I stare at her, waiting for a response.

She finally looks and god forbid acknowledges my existence, she does a once over and I can already see scorn in her eyes, 'Sorry but Mr. Milordov isn't in the office right now, you'll have to come back on another day, can I take a message?' she diverts her attention to her French manicured tips clearly bored with me.

My friendly demeanor is all but strained at this point, oh the joys of egotistical employees, I haven't been on the receiving end of it in the last 5 years since my promotion at iCan Inc. Sigh.

'Look Blondy, I don't have time for your snarky attitude right now, I know for a fact that Mr. Milordov is in today, now you can either give me the information that I need or I'll find his office myself.' I stare her down with my biggest 'you are beneath me' glare.
