Differences

In the library, Artem quickly picked out books that peeked his interest, most of which were history.

The many lessons Artem had to attend left him with no time to research for himself, of course he wasn't unhappy learning new things but he had no time to learn things he was curious about.

Artem placed the big pile of books on the floor beside him as he sat at a table. The pile reached his shoulders as he sat down and he quickly read through them.

Suiren still seemed shy and didn't start a conversation with him, watching him until he started reading the book.

After a moment Suiren went off on her own to find a book to read and eventually sat down opposite of him.

Time quickly passed and the pile of books beside him was returned after reading.

'Amazing... this realm is so different from the thousand realms and yet there are similarities. Is this just a kind of convergence?'

Artem recalled one of the books on off-springs between races, and it seems that just like the thousand realms, dragons which were behemoth in size and laid eggs could mate with fairies which were the size of a finger and gave birth.

How it was accomplished was by turning themselves into humans and creating a baby that way.

Their bloodlines would still be passed down to the baby and they would give birth to the child instead of laying eggs if the mother was a dragon.

Of course the example given was a little extreme but the point came across well. The non-humanoid races turned themselves human to mate with the humanoid races, that was consistent with the thousand realms.

One of the many differences that Artem discovered was very interesting though ultimately useless, was the cultivation levels and their differences.

Peeking through the history books, myths and legends and even a deep look into the cultivation levels here itself.

It told the priority of the creator, and partly the culture that surrounded it.

Cultivation in the thousand realms has always focused on longevity and immortality. This can be seen throughout the levels, each level sought to extend life even by a little bit and through the years were refined to squeeze out even more life span.

From the start, it would give an extra 10 years, 20, 50, 100 and so on. Every incremental increase brought their life span to another level.

Here, however was different, at least at the start. From the books he has read and the lessons, the world here focused on power and strength.

The levels didn't give any amount of life span until much later, at the eight or ninth level. Before that, the focus was only on strength and strength alone.

That wasn't the only differences between the two however, the refinement of these levels were low. Many flaws could be seen in the cultivation here, but it was to be expected.

From his readings, Artem could see that none here had attained anything close to immortality.

Their system did not push the users to understand the laws that dictated the world and instead sought endless power and bullheadedly grasped at life at later stages.

It was unrefined, and Artem started to rethink on cultivating this new system.

Artem took a glance at Suiren and started thinking about creating a new cultivation system for mana.

Artem's thoughts ran rampant in his mind as he watched Suiren, having fallen asleep at some point, her drool leaking onto the papers.
