9 Worried

Hongjoong's POV

It's been about three days since Y/N has ran away. And I still blame myself each day. As does father. Mother has locked herself in her room and would only come out to eat, or visit Y/N's room.

I was walking around the palace until I saw the head guard. "Excuse me, have you gotten any information about the Princess?" I asked. "Yes. We had found something in the woods, which I believed belongs to her." He said as he took something out of his bag.

It was Y/N's pocket watch. Many things went through my mind. What if she's hurt? What if someone tried to do something to her?

"Thank you." I said. I started walking towards my father's study. "What's wrong, son?" He asked. "Y/N's pocket watch was found in the woods." I said, handing the pocket watch to him.

He sighed. "Do you want to go look for him again?" He asked. I nodded. "Well then, let's go." He said. We headed towards the gates, with a guard accompanying us. "King Heechul, we advise you to wear this." The guard said. He gave us both a mask. We put it on and began walking to the woods.

"This was where the pocket watch was found." The guard said. I kneeled to the ground to see if anything else was dropped.

Nothing.

Yeonjun's POV

I had left the house to get some food. As I was walking I saw some men. I noticed one man was wearing the colors of the Kingdom flag, and he was wearing an badge.

A Royal guard. One of the other men took off their mask.

The King!

I quickly hid behind a tree. I quietly went around them and walked slowly back home.

I closed the door, heavily panting. They can't know that I live here. They will recognize me too easily.

"Yeonjun? What happened?" I heard a voice. It was Y/N. "Oh nothing." I said.

Should I tell her?

There was a knock on the door. I looked out of the window. It was them.

I took my mask out of my bag and wore it. I opened the door. The person was wearing a mask and took it off, but I already knew who it was.

"Oh King Heechul." I bowed. "How can I help you?" I asked. "Hello. Have you seen the Princess around here?" He asked.

I looked around to see Y/N hiding behind the wall. I saw some tears. She shook her head.

"I'm afraid not." I said. "Oh. Well sorry for bothering. Goodbye." He said. "Goodbye." I said.

I closed the door. I walked towards Y/N. "Are you okay?" I asked. She ran into my arms and gave me a hug. She cried. "It's okay. Your fine. You'll be safe here." I said.

King Heechul's POV

The man was wearing a mask. But his eyes. They were very familiar.
