11 Loving Family

The window was rolled down and a handsome face with a million dollar smile came into view.

Lu Jinan was anxious about his sister's condition and decided to pick her up from the airport.

Seeing he brother Sera was elated, Jinan alighted from the car and went to Sera's side. Sera ran towards Jinan and hugged him.

"Brother, I missed you so much..", Sera muffled a cry.

Jinan was smiling and patting her head, his sweet sister was always a foolish emotional person.

Shaking his head, Jinan pulled away.

" Okay now, enough crying. I didn't come here to see you cry, Get in grandmother's waiting for you ", said Jinan lovingly.

The word grandmother made her feel bad about her immature behavior.

Sera was scared of her grandmother's reaction. This was the first time Sera had attempted something so daring, she's definitely not the type to runaway from home.

Seeing his sister's reaction Jinan knew what was going in her mind.

"Don't worry, nobody's gonna say anything to you. They were all worried about you. You don't have to think too much, I'll be there with you. Just relax and trust your brother.", Jinan tried comforting Sera.

"Hmm.. I understand I'm sorry brother, I'm sorry for making you guys worried about me."

"Silly girl, get in now. Let's go"

"So tell me how was your little vacation", asked Jinan. He was curious about his sister's little adventure.

"Well it was more like a guilt trip until I met Maya and Xav, I had fun with them at the auction, then we went out for dinner and drinks..", Sera was blabbering nonstop when suddenly she stopped, thinking back to what happened last night.

The encounter with the mysterious stranger was something Sera was curious about, Is it just a coincidence?

While Sera was pondering about her past encounters with the same mysterious man, Jinan was waiting for Sera to continue talking about her holiday.

When he turned to look at Sera, she was in a daze. Thinking that his beloved sister was probably tired he decided to drive in silence.

When they arrived at the mansion, Sera was greeted by her best friend Su Yin at the garden of roses.

Su Yin was admiring the beauty of the roses when she heard footsteps approaching her way. Su Yin was elated to see her bestfriend who was missing, she was worried about her and decided to visit the elders to see if there is any news about Sera.

Mrs.Lu informed her that Sera will be soon arriving with her brother so she decided to wait for them in the garden.

Su Yin was curious about the reason behind her friend's recklessness. So to extract the gossip first hand she decided to wait here instead of waiting inside with everyone.

Su Yin rushed to her side and hooked her arm, whispering in Sera's ears.

Sera was aware of her friend's gossipy nature and thus didn't mind her being so nosy.

Seeing the girls behaving like toddlers Jinan couldn't help but smile and went ahead leaving the two to talk privately.

"What's up with you? Why did you runaway? You didn't get yourself a boyfriend, did you? Tell me..", Su Yin was in her express mode when Sera started laughing at her friend's questions.

Seeing Sera ignoring her Su Yin was furious, her cheeks were red from anger and frustration.

She was here waiting for her friend worried about her safety and here her friend was laughing at her.

Sera was laughing so hard that her eyes were red and teary, looking at Su Yin's irritated face.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry.. it's just you looked too cute just now! I didn't mean to laugh at you..", Sera hurriedly explained her little angry bird like friend.

"Huh? Are you mad? Why are you like this Sera.. Do you know what you have done? Fine.. I won't nag you. C'mon let's go", an exasperated Su Yin told Sera while watching her facial expressions change rapidly.

"Sera, my precious how are you? You look so pale, look at your face. You've lost so much weight..", madam Lu started speaking as soon as Sera came to her side.

"Grandmother, I'm fine. Please don't worry", Sera went to sit beside her and hugged the old lady.

"Okay, as you wish I won't nag you. Wash up, your mother is waiting for you in your room. Let's all have dinner together later tonight", seeing her granddaughter back safe and sound the old lady was smiling from ear to ear.

Sera was also happy to come back home, her family, she missed them. Her loving family.
