Testing the Luck part 2

Matthew furrowed his eyebrows again as he wondered how many people had died. Suddenly, he thought about his parents and fear started to fill his heart. Matthew was afraid to go to his parents, only to find out that they were dead, or if he continued in this rhythm and all humanity was extinguished. Matthew was frightened by these possibilities and decided to stop thinking about it. He needed to stay positive about his parents, that they were still alive back in Dallas. For now, he needed to stay alive. Putting the terrifying thought aside, he started rolling the roulette again, this time the one in the [SKILLS].

Seeing how two minutes waiting worked out, at least in the first time, he decided that he would wait two minutes again to get a good initial skill. After all, that would determine if he would die or survive.

After two minutes had passed, Matthew commanded the roulette wheel to stop. The roulette wheel started to slow down almost as fast as it accelerated. As the roulette wheel was about to stop, Matthew saw the options he could get; a rare grade skill invoking a storm of fire, a legendary grade skill that invokes a fire lion that could gain exp and evolve, and an uncommon grade skill to protect himself.

He began to pray for the legendary grade skill. He already imagined future battles in which he would fight side by side or ride a lion, but soon he returned to reality and the roulette wheel finally stopped.

* Ding *

"Congratulations to the user for achieving uncommon grade skill: Shield of Salvation."

*Sigh*

Sighing, Matthew, who was depressed for not getting what he wanted, murmured, "Unfortunately, I did not get a legendary grade skill, but at least I gained a skill that can protect me when I fight the monsters."

Matthew realized that he still did not know how to see the information on the skill, so he asked the system: "How do I view the details of my skill?"

Matthew focused on the [STATUS] tab and then a screen appeared before his vision.

Description: Enhanced version of the common grade skill: Protection Shield, automatically activates before the user receives any damage, costing from 2-10 mana per activation depending on the impact damage.

Matthew was amazed at the effect of the skill, but wondered why his status was so low. He promptly asked the system again: "System, why are my atributes so low? And what does each one mean?"

"The user should be happy. The default unit of attribute for a human being is one point, which means that the user is 50% stronger than an average human and so on. As to what each means , STR understand strength, AGI for agility, STA means your stamina. If you don't have enough stamina, you will be tired. CONS refers to how much you resist to damage, INT for your magical damage and WIS to your mana regeneration. "

"And for what reason do I not have a rank yet? I thought the lowest rank was F."

"The lowest rank really is the F rank, but to achieve that rank it is necessary for the user to score 2 points on at least two different attributes."

Matthew was half depressed to know that even with all the efforts he put into his workout, it did not even begin with rank F. But, he quickly recovered his state of mind.

"Why do my level and skill have a level limit?" He asked again.

"The user must reach the level limit and then fulfill certain requirements, both to evolve the user's body and also to evolve their skills."

After hearing what the system's answer to his questions, he made up his mind. Matthew walked to his closet, grabbed an empty backpack, and with a determined look on his face, he began his journey.
