5 The Three Musketeers

Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook are the youngest of the Hwarangs. Even though they're the youngest they have much power and ability to push against anything that comes in their way. That's why they were chosen to be part of the Hwarangs. The three of them were inseparable.

They enjoyed drinking soju and eating chicken at their local bar. It always played soothing music and was dimly lit. The smell of oak wood and fried food filled the bar making it irresistible to not order food.

Jimin always made sure that they didn't get too drunk and eat too much. Knowing Jungkook he would do stupid things when drunk. Drinking brings out Taehyung's more emotional side. He drags out old stories from childhood and goes on about how they used to pretend to be heroes.

"Jungkook, I think you should stop drinking. You seem a bit drunk." Jimin took away the bottle of soju from him.

"Hey! I paid for everyone, so I should be able to drink!" Jungkook quickly grabbed the bottle and gulped the rest of it down. Jimin threw the bottle away and asked the server to please not bring anymore soju.

Taehyung was ordering everything from the menu. From appetizers to desserts, and a small bottle of soju.

"Taehyung, why are you ordering so much food?! You shouldn't be eating all of this. You don't know when we'll have a task." Jimin looked at Taehyung in disappointment. He asked the server to not bring everything but only two to three items.

"What am I going to do with these guys," Jimin said with a long exhale.

The server came back and handed the food with three envelopes.

"Excuse me, what's this?"

The server said nothing and quickly walked away. Each letter had their name written on it. It was a recognizable hand writing - the Queen.

Both Jimin's and Taehyung's letter said the same thing.

"Dear Jimin/Taehyung,

I know this letter may be unexpected but it is urgent. I am on my death bed at this moment. The Ruby Heart has been stolen from my statue, which keeps me alive. I need you and the rest of the Hwarangs to find it.

Please hurry and come to the castle. No later than midnight.

Sincerely,

Queen Kyu-Ri"

Jungkook's letter include something different:

"...No later than midnight. If you and the Hwarangs are not able to retrieve the Ruby Heart by the limited time and I were to die. I want you to be the heir to the throne. In the time I've seen you, you've grown so much in so little time.

I would only like you to know this information. I'm sure you'll find the Ruby Heart before my death. This is just a what if situation.

Jungkook's mannerism changed quickly. He felt odd and unsure if this was really meant for him. But he still didn't tell the other members.

"Did you guys receive a letter from he Queen about the Ruby Heart?"

"Yeah."

Jimin punched Taehyung in the arm.

"I told you, you didn't need all that food and Jungkook you with your drinking. We should all go now. The Queen is waiting for us. Everyone else is probably there."

Jungkook paid the bill. Taehyung asked for takeout. Jimin lead them out the door and toward the castle.
